Tossed one on mine and I cant say it made a huge difference in throttle respone but my fuel economy has gone way up! Ill take it 🤷♂️ never hurts to be grounded!
Grounding is good!
Crazy I was just researching this after watching your old video about this mod and read through a whole old forum post with 73 pages with mixed reviews. I just got a 08 mazda 3 2.0l and definitely going to try this since I have a big delay when stepping on the throttle that's pretty annoying especially coming from a miata or even a protege5 with cable throttle that is instant.
People argue it doesn't work because it's not a whole world of difference, but the science is there to prove it does.
@@ColtonRichter Yeah, it really doesn't hurt to try. I might just buy a 6 gauge stranded copper battery terminal ends for 7 dollars from a local hardware store since my crimp tool doesn't go up to 8 gauge and im guessing the 6 gauge would be even better. If anything, I can always return it but I am pretty sure this will help that delay when i first tap the pedal.
Man now I have to give this a try, I feel my 2012 just bogs so hard when I try to take off from a stop until it figures out what the heck is going on then it starts to go.
It'll help a little bit!
@@ColtonRichter Well it definitely made a difference! I even had the wife try it out just to make sure it wasn't just me. When taking off from a stop it really feels like it doesn't hesitate anymore.
probably cause throttle body is dirty
@@theconsciousmovement9669 agreeing with this. Mine idles rough, lost power, has a rough time accelerating, and hesitates when cruising so for mine probably the same
I wasnt sure about this but then i did it and i found its super good when mounted to trans housing, side of engine housing, throttlebody, alternater housing bolt, and left front strut on my mazda 3 2012 itouring. If your looking to get this def do it makes the car feel alot cleaner and the trans on the auto is more snappy. The music also sounds crisper and bass is a little better.
Awesome!
It worked on my cx7, especially on country highway roads passing slow cars
Nice!
Im boosted on a 1st gen basemodel mz6, and gettin out to accelerate would be hesitant and sluggish, as soon as I grounded the tb, the response was so greatly improved and doing pulls would be instant response.
Glad it worked!
I just did it to my 2014 mazda 3 i sport 6 speed 1 week agao i can feel the difference thanks.
Nice!
I know it works.. I've been throwing in ground circle earth cables in all my car's to all the components an then top it off with a gorgeous ground stabilizer
😂😅😊👍
Lol
Work or not ..imma do it on the Speed3 ! Thanks for another great vid dude !
Doesn't hurt to be grounded! ⚡️
I love your channel. Keep going ❤
Thank you!
dudeeeee anyone contemplating doing this it's a no brainer I did this on my 09 mazda 3 also cut the ac belt and omg I dunno why mazda don't do it from factory no more lag and we're I put my foot the throttle gose it's in insane difference
Why'd you cut A/C 😭
Excellent info bro! I recently bought a 2008 mazda 3! it's automatic, will it work too?
Yep!
I wrote a comment on your last throttle body ground video recently, but I'll also write one here for anyone who hasn't seen that video.
I can 100% confirm it works, I did it to my auto 2nd gen 2.5 about 3.5 years ago and noticed a big difference straight away. A few weeks ago I also did it to my recently-acquired manual gen 4 Legacy 3.0R, and it's made it much easier to drive, especially considering this is my first manual car.
A lot of cars these days, including the NA Mazda 3s and my Subaru Legacy, have plastic intake manifolds, meaning they're only relying on the factory ground wire which is often ineffective. On a car with a metal intake manifold, this won't work as they're already properly grounded through the manifold.
Thanks for the review!
I'll be giving this a go! Wire is a single copper wire with coating? Or did you use the many tiny twisted strands with coating?
Wire, not cable!
I ended up getting a code about bank 1 being too lean, could this have anything to do with it? Also I definitely noticed a difference!
Only thing I can think of is if you removed any part of your intake like MAF sensor. Double check everything is tightened again properly and is routed correctly.
Would this mod do anything for 2024 Mazda 3 Hatchback? I actually just purchased a Roar Pedal but haven't installed it yet.
I don't think so, I'd like to believe it has been dealt with over the years.
mazda3 2010 2.0L sedan and this was my second mod, makes shifting faster and saves gas and gives so much power
So stoked it worked for you 👏🏻
i was wondering if i can do that on my BL and then read your comment, hell yeah
If i use a thicker guage of wire will it affect it positive or negative
I recommend using 8AWG as it's been tested & proven with.
yo this may be a dumb question but where would you get replacement parts? like if i need a new front bumper or hood? i drive a 2007 mazda3
id say look online or if there’s junkyards that you can pull parts from near you, i got a 07 mazda 3 aswell🤝🏼
Wreckers for used parts, or Mazda directly.
@@ColtonRichter thanks bro
Does it matter if the wire is OFC or CCA?
It will work on A/T too ?
Yes
Will this work on a 2012 mazda 3 skyactive
Yep!
Anything thicker than 8 gauge should be fine if the delay is because of the resistance or ohms
I would recommend 8AWG as it's been tried and tested.
Hey everyone can I swap the 2.3 into my 2.0 first gen or no? Haven’t found much online about it and I wanna do a full restore in my Mazda 😝 I did this late last year from your old video!
If you're swapping a bigger motor I recommend the 2.5L! The 2.3 is notorious for oil burning issues and throwing rods.
@@ColtonRichter the 2.5 is why I asked I’ve seen a lot in making the Mazda 2.3 a 2.5 from the ford fusion, but I wasn’t sure if the 2.0 was able to I know it’s not a huge difference but you never know!
What is your intake? I’ve been wanting to put a cold air intake that isn’t short
It's an OEM MazdaSpeed accessory intake, otherwise known as the AEM Cold Air Intake
It does not work on the 1.6L they got an cable powered throttle body
Thanks for sharing!
Do you have a community for all Mazda 3 users just to keep in touch where we can be frequently active with some questions and interactions?
Lots of large pages on Facebook, but we're a big community here!
Will this work on the speed?
I think it's grounded properly but you could try it for sure!
Does work did this Mod in my Mazda 3 it’s definitely a different
Heck yeah 🔥
I think imma just ground everything to mines lol
Safe to do on a 2016 BM 2.0?
Worth a try!
Does it matter what gauge connector i use? and what size did you use?
I used a connector based on the size of wire I used being 8AWG.
Slap a throttle body spacer with that and your set. I also did those hacks as well lol 😂 🙏🏻🫡
Good idea!
would this work on the automatic? (2010 mazda3 i sport)
Yup!
where did you get the wire from? autozone?
Autozone should have it!
Work on 17 mazda 3??
Potentially
Will this help on a 2013 skyactiv 3? Definitely would give it a try.
Yep it should be similar!
This work on my Mazda 6 2012 , 2.5L ?
You may notice a difference!
I’m a lil scared of doing anything else to my car because it randomly use to shut off when trying to accelerate from a red light
😭😭😭
@@ColtonRichterI did it with a subwoofer antenna wire 🤣 car got faster fr
No more throttle delay sheeesshhh
Cut that delay away boyyy ✌🏻
i got a 1.6 and it does not have an electronic throttle body
They are cable actuated?
broo I wanna try this so bad but I don’t know 😂
Harmless, had it over 5 years and cost $5.
HECK IT
@@ColtonRichter weekly project up !
This mod is complete bunk. I've felt a before and after and it did absolutely nothing
Can't say the same 👋🏻
