One Year Later. Time For A Layout & Trains Update 5-2023

It's been over a year since my last video about the 3D printed trains and the layout I've been hand building. Much has happened since, mostly my arm got broken and two surgeries later we are at today. Before the surgery I was able to get the loop running with the turnout just set to one side as the stepper motors are pretty strong even unpowered. The Mirco-Trains couplers work very well with the FDM 3D printed freight cars. With interchangeable loads, it is easy to make many different looks for interesting cargos. The entire idea of this layout is a glorified Timesaver Shunting Puzzle. Which is why having lots of unique cars to shunt around was a key part of the layout.
