    I purchased one with the 3.6 which is a very reliable motor. It can also tow more than the diesel.

    I found a used 21 Gladiator Sport S with the ecodiesel. I'd chose it any day over the pentastar crap motor. The power available is amazing and the fuel milage more than compensates for the added fuel price. I can't believe Stellantis is so stupid as to discontinue the ecodiesel in everything else. This is the best motor availabe in my opinion.

    Buying the diesel for 'fuel milage" is a joke when diesel cost $1.50 a gallon more than gasoline....lol

    • @fiftyshadesofurban
      @fiftyshadesofurban ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Until you realize that $1.50 more for $3 is only 50% more and not double the cost, but your MPG is actually double in the diesel Gladiator, so you're paying 50% more for fuel but getting double the fuel efficiency. Math is fun. Also I just completed a 3000 mile trip and trust me stopping for gas every 2 hours REALLY SUCKS.

    • @okienightstalker3145
      @okienightstalker3145 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@fiftyshadesofurban My Mojave averages around 20.5mpg from OKC to Dallas and diesel is $2 a gallon higher now. Do the Eco powered JT's really get 40mpg? How long does it take the average Eco diesel owner to recoup the $4k up front cost over the 3.6? Eco just seems to be a good deal if you plan on keeping the JT for along time and not upgrading vehicles every few years.

    Probably a bad time to mention that Jeep decided to make the lowest point under the diesel Gladiator's, other than the differentials, the housing for the fuel pump. Nothing quite so fun as crawling over some rocks in your off-road Jeep just hear CLUNK that should have been a skid plate and then dump a whole tank of diesel on the ground.

    I'd love to have the econo-diesel for the tork and pulling power; but, I think the pollution of diesels is a real problem.
    I hate getting behind a diesel truck with the toxic smell. I know it is a necessary evil for the big rigs for load capacity
    but for the general public we need to change.

    • @jasondavis4421
      @jasondavis4421 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Except they dont thats why they rig the statistics and broden the term of pollution too include things like particles..but as far as green house gases go diesels produce less. And when they say per gallon of gas keep in minde fuel economy witch the allways neglect too factor in..so when you compare two engines of the same size and add fuel consumption you will finde diesel have lower green house emmisions..of course a 2.3 liter gas engine emmits less the a 6.7 diesel engine but it doesnt emmit less then a 6.7 gas engine
