First time I heard this song, especially after hearing the DJ (Yep, way back when radio stations had real, LIVING DJ's) say it was the Mighty Clouds of Joy...my mouth dropped open. My jaw literally HIT THE FLOOR....cos I knew all about their Gospel roots....but man, this song...THIS SONG...let's just say, if you're feeling down, for any reason...THIS SONG picks your butt right up and puts you in a GREAT place to be. ADDENDUM: I can actually recall being three or four, and these wonderful men came to our church to sing. They didn't sound as "pop" as this, but I swear, they had voices from Heaven. Beautiful harmonies and soul when singing God's word...who could NOT want to hear it and believe?
I met Joe Ligon & The Mighty Clouds when I was working with Robert Blair & the Violinaires back in `89/90. We did shows from Atlanta to Cali. This is the 1st time I've heard this song. I guess it wasn't "Gospel" enough.

The pastor of the church I went to a child gave this song, and Andrae Crouch as well, the side-eye. No one listened to him. By the 80s he wised up!
