This was a great video. I love seafood. I worked on my Dad's shrimp boat when I was young. I Love me some senior discounts too. At 70. I've saved some change. 😂😂
I've been binge watching all your videos. Makes me hungry, especially for seafood! Lived on the gulf coast of Alabama for many years but landlocked in Kansas now and one thing I can't find is stuffed flounder. My favorite. I was so disappointed not to see it on this video. 😢
Thank you for watching, and I'm glad you enjoy our content. I would have thought they would have stuffed flounder, too. I can't really say that I remember seeing it on the menu, because we didn't order it. But you would think that would be a thing with any seafood restaurant.
I've always wanted to check out the seafood in that area. Lived in Wilmington for several years , but never made it down to that area. When you come back up to Waynesville you'll have to check out the "Low Tide" seafood restaurant going toward Maggie Valley. The man that opened up this restaurant is from the Calabash area. He also opened up " The Buttered Biscuit" Which is back toward Lake Junaluska .
Yes, this is a great area to eat seafood. One of our favorite places. Just made a quick last minute trip down there, to check out my mom's property. Don't know if ya'll have been to Calabash much, but there is a street that you can go down, with numerous seafood restaurants on it. And all of them are good.

Dockside is my favorite! Have been eating here since I was 16-years-old. My family’s favorite too!!!

When I visit family in Calabash we eat at the Waterfront seafood shack. Also go to the Bagel Dock.
Our family tradition is to eat at Dockside every year on our annual beach vacation! I'm 68 now and began going there when I was 14!

Yes, I've seen the Buttered Biscuit right there along the highway. I think it used to be Granny's Chicken.

That would be fun to charter a boat and go see the dolphins. Is the Mahi a mild tasting fish, I don't like a strong tasting fish.
It's not strong tastng at all, in my opinion.
