Maybe you can explain to me why on photos the people faces search doesn't work anymore? I have tried it numerous times trying to confirm additional photos doesn't work. it says that there don't appear to be any additional photos of so and so... when I have at least 50 new fotos. what can I do to fix this? or is that gone forever. please reply ASAP
Hey @Tecla Veldman! I have the same exact issue as you! Here is what I suspect and here is what I have found personally... When Apple updated it's software to iOS15 for mobile devices and also the new Mac OSX Monterey, it had Apple Photos rescan the entire library to analyze the faces. Silly, I know! So on all of my devices it still has the message of: "Photos will continue scanning your remaining photos when you're not using the app and your Mac is connected to power" This happens on my Mac, iPhone and iPad....Now what i've realized is that on all three of those devices, I have my Photos Library set to "Optimize Photo Storage" in the iCloud settings and it's taking FOREVER to rescan the whole library....literally weeks and weeks. Now on my other laptop where I have it downloading the originals of all the photos in Apple Photos, it finished scanning the photos after a few days and was recognizing new faces after it finished. So this has been my experience that it seems depending on the "optimize" settings a device has turned on or off, it will speed up the process of scanning the photos for faces. This is my theory at least! How many photos do you have and how many devices do you have? I hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching! If you haven’t already, please support me by subscribing! It helps more than you know and is greatly appreciated! If you know someone who may benefit from this video, feel free to share it along!

For me the by far biggest wish: In the photo app moving photos to albums and folders instead of copying the photos. Now it is only possible to copy a photo to an album or folder and always there will be one in the library. Not one of the frustrations, it is THE BIGGEST FRUSTRATION. Why Apple don’t let you the choice •to move or to copy•? Is there a way to copy the whole photo library on the ipad to the folder app for example and from there copy photos to albums and folders?
Hey @Patje Kluivert! I agree, it does get a little confusing! I would like to clarify a few things though. When you import photos into Apple Photos or take a picture with your iPhone or iPad, the original file gets saved to the "Library". Now if you add a photo to an album, it does not copy or move it. It's merely referencing the original photo that it's the library. Therefore if you try to delete a picture from an album it gives you two choices. 1: To remove the photo from just from that album. 2: To actually delete the photo from the album which would also delete it from the Library. If you delete a photo or video from the library or or any pretty much any other location like the categories under the "Media Types", it will delete that file from everywhere including the manual albums you created. So just know that if you put a photo/video into a manually created album, it does not duplicate, move, or copy the file. It's just referencing it to the original one in the library. I hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching and the continued support! It helps more than you know and is greatly appreciated! If you know someone who may benefit from this video, feel free to share it along!

I understand your preference for Google Maps. It’s always nice to have choice. But the model I use to evaluate Apple Maps vs Google Maps… Which one would I rather teach my mother? I think over time, I think Apple is going to redefine what it means to use a map.
Hey @geek mee! It is nice to have a choice! I do believe the the UI and overall design with Apple Maps is simplified and easier to use, especially if I were to recommend to teach to my mom! So i totally agree there! I think Apple is for sure building their map data and if they continue to add more features I may be enticed to switch! Thanks so much for watching!
