The power brick wouldn’t bother me, the monitor seems like it doubles up as a dock which will save some space and cabling in other ways. Only just recently discovered this monitor, I’m thinking it’ll either be this or the G8.
As a g8 user, I’d recommend omen. Almost same but, omen’s glossy screen provide more vivid color. G8’s non glossy is great in dark room. Not that great under light.
The cooling fan is a major flaw on this pricey monitor. It was louder than my HP notebook which have loud fans. It started blowing a substantial amount of heat out the top grill into my small office. Major deal breaker. Firmware update and lighting was an issue but i didnt pursue further as the loud fan and heat exhaust was shocking at this price point and i packed it up to go back to HP after a couple hours of light office work use. If you dont mind loud fan noise, substantial heat exhaust, and insanely large power brick, a weird slippery by design stand, temperamental firmware updates and led lighting, it is a gorgeous monitor.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for and I’m SHOCKED that it’s coming from HP. As a Mac user, it’s great to see the inclusion of a macOS colorspace, more than one USB-C that will allow for daisy chaining, 4k QD-OLED, power deliver on all USBs, and white?! Take my money!!! My only concern is that power brick and using it with my Ergotron HX dual monitor arm. Thank you for this review.
I think that's the largest single power brick, but my MSI Titan GT76 dual bricks definitely take up more space. I've never disassembled a power brick, and I've often wondered why they are so brick-shaped, and why are they external? Wouldn't making it a flat shape and layering it into the device be a better engineered solution?
I've an HP Envy 32 monitor with integrated Bang & Olufsen speakers, 2x 6W according to a quick Google. Surely the HP Omen Transcend 32 integrated speakers are better?
Only thing that kinda sucks is that we can't calibrate HDR in windows on these monitors. I have a Calibrite Display Plus but nope only SDR is doable. unlike TV's which we can calibrate with calman tools etc.
Returned mine for the aw3225qf for the curve and also because of the update constantly failing due to the lighting module for some reason. Tried all usb c inputs and same result.
LG is making a 34-inch 4k ultrawide in the 4th quarter of 2025. The only thing we don't know is the curve. I hope they keep it at 1800R like the previous ultrawide monitors and don't go any more aggressive with it than that. If they keep it at 18ooR I am a buyer.
@@brandonrice9592 UltraWide "4K Equivalent": 5120 × 2160 (21:9 aspect ratio) That one isn't. UW-4K or WUHD-4K Nice monitor though, but the curve is too deep for my taste. Though I may feel differently in person. I like my DWF subtle curve, so that's all I know. Thanks though.
@@fttmvp That's not a bad idea considering the resolution I would be looking is 4k, but I want to keep my PC monitor exclusive. Once I stop splurging on my PC, I will buy an OLED TV 75"+ for movies and sports only. Thanks for recommendation in any case.
Btw it has a gimped DisplayPort 2.1 port. It’s only uhbr10 not the full uhbr20 spec like the gigabyte 4k 240hz oled has. So you still need dsc to run 4k 240 so it’s dumb and redundant. That was the only issue I found with your review.
Where is the Sony Bravia 8 Review??? I keep seeing that tv in stores side by side other tvs and its better than all of them. I saw one store had it in Imax mode and whites were so white, all the colors were excellent. I actually put one on layaway 77" version.
Got this after returning LG woled panel and totally satisfied with mac mini m4 and gaming PC setup. You didn't talk about dac sound support and future Dolby vision support.
Great analysis, thank you! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Useless review as there is no mention of peak brightness at 100% and real scene or EOTF tracking and how this compares to the other QD-OLEDs. A KVM, OSD features and USB-C charging is nice but the best QD-OLED would provide the best image experience, no? Like you mention some color deviation is easily fixed. I mention this, as while you guys are maybe not the gold standard when it comes to data collection, usually in your TV reviews there is at least some mention if HDR is accurate and the screen is sufficiently bright. Some deeper comparisons for monitors would be valuable information too, this felt more like reading a spec sheet.
4k, 240hz, QD-OLED and 32". Those specs 10 years ago would have been myth 😂😅
And in 10 years from now, this will be obsolete.
How? I feel like just how we're reaching moore's law with silicone we are reaching a similar physical limit when it comes to monitors. @@LA_Designer
im so happy that DT start doing their own monitor review i never miss an episode! cant wait for CES next month

Heat and thermodynamics make it easier said then done
140W power delivery is insane!
More B-roll of the products being reviewed and less screen time on the person reviewing it would be better.

Windows HDR calibration tool on windows 11 only
@ we all know that’s a nonsense thing, i am talking about actual calibration
have they fixed the broken firmware updating issue?
Its HP. probably not.
I just returned it for that reason a day ago

Can you guys review this: Hisense U5120GW+
Hisense 7.1.2 CH Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer
Your reviews are getting better & better. Good job
did your sample have the VESA Bracket?
Is it possible to use the stand for HP Omen 32q with this monitor?
If it came in a black option I would definitely consider it.
I wish you guys would do graphs for input lag and such at max resolution, 240hz, 120hz, and 60hz. Maybe another time...!
$1,300?
I wish I could find a 4k Ultrawide monitor.
Buy an Oled TV. Pitch black room ultra wide format content comes on, the black bars just disappear and you lose no immersion since you're so close

Other than the refresh rate at this price aren't you just better off with a TV? Or what am I missing?
If TV was the best option every one would have bought it but that is not the case in the PC World, there is tons of features in a PC monitor.

I was looking at this monitor for my m4 mini as well. You haven’t noticed any issues with resolution or scaling?

Anyone recommend Good 4K 27" 240Hz OLED monitor😊
Every other technology goes down in price over time, OLED says "nah".
They do? My AW34 is now regularly available for half its MSRP

HP is not a company I would rely on for anything let alone a Monitor...
Its HP.
Digital trends is really running their trust thin with this one. 😭😭😭
Say 2 "POINT" 1, freak
jkjkjkkjk you're not a freak lol
No mention of the purple / pink haze this horrible panel has with even the slightest of ambient light in the room?? 👎
DSC is not lossless and "visually lossless" is a marketing scam.
You would never be able to tell the difference lmao
