While both franchises make fast food their approach differ greatly McDonald’s is focused on quantity while chic fil a is focused on quality. If the ratio of restaurants is 5-1 I. E. Five McDonald’s to each chic fil a then chic fil a can afford to be more selective in their hiring process. If you were applying to both jobs with pay being equal you would probably pick chick fil a unless you want to work sundays. Most fast food managers don’t place value on the hiring process because they don’t believe it’s valuable use of their time. I didn’t tell the truth with that last statement the truth is they don’t value employees because they believe they are replaceable and expendable.

I got an email saying they want me to come in and interview me. Went 2 days later and got interviewed by the director and manager. They said they’d call me within a week to let me know if i got the job. Not even 5 minutes later as i’m driving home they said I got the job and need me to go in the next day to start
Quick tip, when you apply for a job online you should go to the actual store the next day in a nice professional outfit and your likelihood of getting the hood will raise

Since Chick-Fil-A's are free standing units, I would be careful saying that working at any Chick-Fil-A is like this. I worked at one for three years where I was started at 7.25/hr, and we did not get free food. It is all up to the owner of that specific store.

I work at chick-fil-a as well. For about 4 months now. Your work place has alot of simularities and alot of differences. Mine doesnt have its own shake maker. Front counter makes them for each person who orders and the salad prep station makes salads ahead of time when you bring an old salad tray back and always makes a new order of your salad if you dont want bacon on a cobb for example.
