Hi Bro I Am Totally New In This And I Am Trying To Learn About this Biz Right From Scratch . Mind Sharing some tips , different types of solutions used ? @Detail Groove
I remember you posted a video last year something about start your DETAILING business in 60 days or less before the new year. & I can honestly say after so much waiting and trial & error I am so close to getting the needed equipment (nothing fancy). You have motivated me to start detailing I've been wanting to do this since I was 15 now I'm 21 with a family. I love your content man I am forever blessed. Nothing is overnight and I had to learn that the hard way. Thank you for your free contagious motivational videos.
Time is money. Saving time is making money. I like the evolution of the channel from you just making satisfying visual videos to how to actually be successful in detailing. You don't over-glorify the chemicals and tools, and give actual realistic advice instead of trying to sell people on whatever newfangled products are coming out.
Not sure if you are still looking at comments, but you are 100% right on with this. I started Ideal Detail years ago because I was cleaning family and friend's cars and someone told me I might as well start a business so I can reclaim some of my cost. My business is only a couple years old, but I have been detailing for 20 years. I started professionally detailing under my own business and started adding equipment, what ever I had money to get. It was a blast! I still had my full time job, but on the weekends I would make money so I could upgrade. I did upgrade chemicals, equipment and skills. Loved the video because it really does apply. Thanks!
I just started my detailing business, I did a Toyota corolla with the Bissell pro heat and it took me seven hours to finish. And the carpets and seats were still slightly damp the next morning with only one pass of extraction. I can’t wait to upgrade LOL Thanks for this video
proheat didn't do terrible the last 2 years without totally Saturating most vehicles cleaned.....but I just moved up to the Bissel spotclean pet pro with twice the suction and only 145 bucks on sale this week. we'll see how it goes
That makes a lot of sense. I just got a small extractor for my car and I have to be stopping and going all the time because the seats and carpets were nasty and the tank is only 0.4 gallons. It gets the job done and I got really good results but it's a very time consuming process
It was perfect, ur comparison to each machine at each specific point in ur business. U always do what u can with what u can afford at that point in time. Thanks Matt
Really appreciate you giving me more confidence to just buy what I can afford and giving me the inspiration to do as best of a job I can with what I have. Applicable advice for many subjects in life.
@@themarcosaguila1 it works amazing! I love the portability for when I go to do jobs and extract the carpet of cars haha it easily does the job a million times faster than a little bissel. And my seats are bright red again!
Fabric and upholstery cleaning = Temperature, agitation, chemical, time AND extraction. To increase extraction means to save time. To increase heat means to save time. Ect…The customer wont explain to you that TIME is a factor
the one tool you need is a constant flow upholstery tool. it's gets the fabric a lot cleaner in a shorter time than any other tool. Mytee sells one. Try it out. I had a cleaning business for 16 years and cleaned a ton of upholstery with a high flow tool.
I really enjoy your videos. I just started doing this on a part time basis. 3 successfull details last week. Currently rocking the Bissell, but I am not doing crazy volume to justify a better extractor for a while. Maybe you should do a video on organizing gear for mobile detailers.
@@Sandiego61999 I think it works pretty well. If you aren't cleaning lots of upholstery and carpets it is perfect. The downside is that if you are cleaning full interior with it you will need to fill and empty a couple times.
Thx bro u answer my question because I’m just starting off and only have two or three clients but when my business picks up you’re saying get the big boy thx Again bro
Thanks for all your work and info you put into your videos, you give people motivation by informing us through most of not all of the steps of the business
can you attach the sapphire hose directly to the mytee extractor? It looked like you have to have the mytee hose if you use a mytee extractor. can you show a video how you Frankenstein hoses together.
It all boils down to productivity. Sure, you can use smaller machines and get the same job done. You can use a larger machine and get more done FASTER. On the flip side, if you have a spot job, you can have an employee throw a small machine in their daily and go knock it out. Having multiple units of different sizes gives you flexibility and productivity.
So, If I have an extractor, whats the point of a steamer? Also, whats the tool that allows you to make stripes on the seats and carpet etc. Love your vids btw!
Yes !!! Hit it on the nail all tools are Equal ! In one off ocasión. But yeah like you’d said and I also felt I’m out growing my bisel spot free It gets great results but now I feel like I’m being slowed down with refills and throwing the waste water
Dear lord! How are you using 7 gallons of water in a single vehicle! I used the Bisell pro for about 5 years and I needed to refill the 96 oz tank once during a detail. I upgraded to a Mytee Lite 8070 this year and have never refilled the 5 gallon tank during a detail. The major advantage of the Mytee is the heat when I have access to 2 power outlets (I am mobile). But I agree with you, you can do great things with even a 100$ Bisell (used that for my first 2 years)... it's just very time consuming
I got the mytee 8070 HEATED 4 gallon carpet extractor. Huge step up from the bissel. The only plus from the bissel is the bissel is small portable and easy to carry/maneuver around the vehicle
I've been running the 8070 since 2015 and even flexed in to carpet cleaning with it. Slightly less than ideal for carpets but will get em done. Was around 800 when I bought it prices really gone up

Thanks for the video. I have been struggling with my brand new mytee for over 2 years.
