I did the same thing when I was looking to buy a used home in the Raleigh area. Went to a National builder alone get to see what comparisons there were in a new construction without my agent.
I just told them I was walking away from the new home if my agent wasnt allowed to represent me. They changed their tune very quickly.

We almost had that happen to us with a builder not asking about having representation, but between myself proving that their virtual tour sign up never asking AND their realtor never asking, plus our realtor copying his attorney, we ended up good and represented

A friend of mine just closed on a new construction home in a new neighborhood located in Wayne County, NC. She then found out that there are no services, internet, cable etc available in the neighborhood. Is there anything she can do? Thanks

Great video Chris! Can you do something on "For sale by owner" vs "Agent listing"? Pros and cons, what to watch out for, etc. Thanks Chris!

Thanks so much. Very Helpful. Will be moving to NC from Southwest US and will be using your helpful information over the next couple years.

This is good stuff. Builders are canceling contracts and putting it back on the market for more $$$. My contract got canceled after 2 months.

Yes this has been happening and it's highly unethical. Which builder did that if you don't mind sharing?

@@LivinginRaleighTV thank you very much for your honesty. I might be stuck with them.
Love the value that your videos bring. I think this area will become the Silicon Valley of the east coast in terms of valuable jobs in the next few years. Keep shedding your light on good things to come!

So sorry to hear that. I sincerely hope you have a good experience, but we have yet to hear of a client have a positive experience with them. Make sure you get your own inspection. If you need an inspector, we can recommend one. Thank you for the nice comments! Yes, we are seeing a lot of jobs coming especially with Apple and other companies moving here.

I'm planning to relocate to the Raleigh area within the next couple of years. I guess it might be to early to start search for a new build.

You want to start planning 6-12 months out depending on what type of home. It's good to be getting a feel for what's out there in advance though.

Yes, a new home finished today will no longer be a new construction home in 2 years. 🤣
