    Once that front fender is sorted it'll look pretty damn good.
    Look forward to seeing how it turns out.

    The wheels indeed look amazing in that colorway with the rest of the bike. I was wondering why the hearts of the wheels were not chosen to be re-used with other outer rims. Also curious on the costs of the wheels if you don’t mind sharing.

    Um... I wonder if a 3d printed version of the ABS ring would work?

      No, it has to metal since the sensor is magnetic. If you can find a decent machine shop it's not hard at all for them to fabricate it. They charged me 40 bucks for mine.

      @@gonzo221 Yea I work at a machine shop. That's a great price.

      So you had to have that made because the bolt hole pattern on the hub was different?

    • @gonzo221
      @gonzo221  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@3rdaxis649 no, I had to have it made because the ring size is directly correlated to how the bike reads its wheel speed. Which ties into everything else. Traction, cruise, fuel range, speedometer. So with the new wheel size and the original ring the electronics would fail and the bike go into limp mode. So I had to make a new ring with a ring pattern that was adjusted for the higher amount of rotations on a smaller wheel.

      @@gonzo221 Yea i get what your saying. As someone that works in a machine shop I'm now wondering if it's something I should make available to people that are doing the same thing to their 850...

    • @gonzo221
      @gonzo221  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, all the electronics work 100% after making a custom ring.

    you can 3D print a new fender i think. 3D scan the original, modify the CAD and print it

      @gonzo221  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it was out when I bought this maybe. Though the discount I got on this motorcycle was pretty steep. I bought this before the 900XR was even announced.
