Oh man you gotta try the Saber Edge next. For me, this one like you suddenly fight Steven or your final Gary, and Saber Edge? You fight Red, or just maybe Cynthia man
Now they just need to implement it into their games lol. I did think it was a game changer for video game music when I heard that in FE. I can't imagine it anymore without it.
@Zaneu Well VerdantBlue I can understand. But olololololo wasn't really saying anything unnecessary. just that he'd preferred if the original one was in the game. lol
If she were in KH3 she'd just be abrasive but not an outright bitch, just kind of cold but of course with it being KH she's have this really sweet side she'll only show to certain people.
13 was an amazing tech demo, but suffered from being *way* too linear among other playbility issues (paradigm availability, saving, side quests, etc.) . I'm replaying 13-2 and that by far is the best game in the series, and honestly I'd go so far as to say one of the best FF games period.
Hey I've been playing Final Fantasy for over 30 years and I remember the hate 13 got. I played FF13 to completion when it came out and to me it was a good game and solid entry. Not GOAT level but still good. Most of the hate at the time was due to the linear nature of the game having corridor-like maps, no towns to visit, and nothing to explore which at the time was a large deviation from previous entries. At the end of the game there is an open world but it was rushed towards its ending and somewhat unfinished and lacked polish. Other complaints are it had an unpopular cast of characters that was just there from the start with little character development and no memorable meetings. The entire cast aside from Lightning was very unpopular and is why they were scrapped in FF13-2 and Noel was brought in. The Paradigm system and stagger mechanics also got some hate too but it was mostly just when people hate one aspect of the game they then rag on everything. But then eventually FF15 came out and it was so much worse than 13 the same 13 haters were like, "Wait maybe 13 was actually a decent game?"
@Zaneu i dont know about extremely. i think it has a regular pace. but w.e its just my opinion you might just see the game more intensely or something.
I dont think they'll change her personality if she's included in the game since her personality is similar to Clouds. She'll probably end up being less abusive towards others
I... genuinely forgot about all the VII follow ups, because none of them actually had you playing as any of the original cast (which technically Vincent isn't part of since he's an optional character, like Yuffie).
@zexionfan15 since when does being recent void the right to remix? i'm not saying it's good or bad but they probably didn't wanna just leave it untampered since all the other main numbered battle themes were remixed too
lots of people are like "this is shit". Am I missing something here? Where is the part where this sounds sooo bad? All that was added was a fast techno beat...it suits Dissidia - puts more energy into the already excellent orchestration.
I agree on the story, but less so on the gameplay - I dislike how little customization is possible, until your first Espers are obtained. And even then, to have good customization, you pretty much need to take great pains to not gain levels unless absolutely necessary, a la KOTOR I/II (which ironically came out 9 years later).
@daviddaaannggg Well, the recent songs have the same quality. Doesn't VOID the right to remix, but it's not as necessary. Look at Dissidia one, almost every song from FFX wasn't remixed, and NONE of the FFXI or FFXII songs were (and the FFXI still isn't in Duodecim). Now tell me why they felt a need to remix a song from a game MORE RECENT than the ones they DIDN'T REMIX last time.
@undead50 You're not going o get yelled at, but I'm going to say that hollow bastion's music sounds nothing like this. Hollow Bastion's. Scherzo di Notte has a much lower tempo, and doesn't really sound like a modern tehnoesque orchestral remix.
Jin Kazama appeared for the first time in Tekken 3 on summer 1997, Siegfried on december 1996 ... Cloud appeared on january 1997 ... Do you think Cloud is a copy of the other two ?
FFVI being as unpopular as it was aside, VII got Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, the one that came out on the phone focused on the Agents, several guest appearances in other FF games and it's own movie so technically, that particular portion doesn't count. FFXIII did disappoint a bit, true, but it's no reason to diss on the games or call it poor~quality. But then, some people can never be pleased.
She's too badass for Kingdom Hearts games. And I agree. If they were to put her in one someday, they would have to heavily alter or even ruin her character to have her fit in
It sold well enough to make 2 sequels... but FFVI and VII did not? And X did also? I didn't like XIII, because I did find it linear, and I wasn't a fan of the combat. The story was also a little confusing for me. I loved XII comparatively, however. But no one should ever deny that all of the Final Fantasy games have enjoyed the best graphics and the very best in music, hands down. I love Lightning, and I love her theme. Gamers will complain because they're entitled, that's all there is to it.
I love the 12 battle system, it was not for everyone though. I'll have to admit though I didn't care much for any of the characters other than Balthier... and the plot was mediocre... and the soundtrack was mostly forgettable... but it was still a fun game! =)
I can hardly see how this is a poor-quality game... there are PLENTY of poor-quality games out there. The graphics at time were of highest end, the battle system, was while flawed, still very intuitive, and much better than the garbage 12 had, had a great score, and a few memorable characters. Yes it was extremely linear, but I don't see how that makes it poor-quality. It just makes it boring to some. Boring =/= poor quality. It obviously sold well enough to make 2 sequels.
You're entitled to your opinion, but Final Fantasy is dissapointing. The other FF's had more....well...there was more to it than what 13 had. It's hard to explain, especially coming from a guy who barely knows the franchizes. You'd have to be a hardcore fan of all genre's to understand why people don't like 13.
Nah, Squall is pathetic, Sephiroth, very unimpressive, Cloud? Meh, he's ok, to say he's just Jin Kazama and SC's Siegfried combined, with some memory mix-up bullshit.
It sounds.... awful. The violin part feels like it just randomly jumps in (and sounds a little flat and off tune to me with the background beat) and the just cuts out. It doesn't fit well with the fast paced remix IMHO. I guess I'm so used to the original version of this song I just can't bare to listen to this remixed version.
Actually sales of Final Fantasy in general have been falling rapidly since FFXIII. In my opinion, this one song is the only good thing about that game or it's garbage sequels. But that's just my opinion, what isn't my opinion is that FFXIII made a lot of people stop liking Final Fantasy.
3 people were blinded by the light and aciddently clicked the dislike button instead of the like button
Shut up shut up shut up these comments are so annoying. I’m glad TH-cam fixed this.
Violin part is just wonderful. Really embodies so much emotion.
i can feel the "fight" here in this soundtrack. i am getting the goosebumps!
I like that the intro percussion is from a different XIII song
It is actually, called Defiers of Fate
This feels like I’m battling a crazy strong looking Legendary Pokémon . Honestly gives me Ultra Necrozma vibes.
Oh man you gotta try the Saber Edge next. For me, this one like you suddenly fight Steven or your final Gary, and Saber Edge? You fight Red, or just maybe Cynthia man
This game was my final nudge to get FFXIII.
This is still my favorite version since the psp era.
Ikr. Still coming back just for some nostalgia
I wish this would have been an option for FFXIII! I mean I like the original but having this also would have kept it fresh for the "urban" areas. =)
"You're toast!" :D
@Trevor Kashton damn bruh lmaooooo
"This is gonna sting! SEE YA!"
Let's finish This!! Bullseye!
It still blows my mind that Blinded By Light got a Dissidia remix before Let The Battles Begin and FFX's battle theme.
Blinded By Light rocks.
FFX had one the weakest battle themes in the series so they clearly made the right choice
This version is my favorite! Thanks for uploading! :D
This is my fav track off of this game second fav is the world map music on lighting's story
so far this is my new favorite BGM for DFF012
Blindness>Every argument.
this songs' 2 versions are kinda like how fire emblem handled their map and battle themes.
FF13 version:Calm
Dissidia version:Storm
Now they just need to implement it into their games lol. I did think it was a game changer for video game music when I heard that in FE. I can't imagine it anymore without it.
i believe they do so to make the game (dissidia) feel more fast paced than the original ff13.
1:00 BEST!!!! PART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The best things to come out of Final Fantasy XIII:
Lightning
This theme
And Dissidia has both of those things.
0:58-1:46 AWESOMENESS!!!!!
I love the original and this version equally. ❤️
who are you watching? have some more!!!
SHEER AWESOMENESS
Blinded by darkness... >_>
So it kinda mixed with Defiers of Fate ~ Palamecia Assault version.
That intro kinda sounds like worlds collide
I dunno... Lightning's gonna have her hands full with Caius AND Noel.
Soldier and miss pauling and spy vs two mecha spy
i love it! :D
Stay down!
They aren't in Final Fantasy 13, and Squall is my favorite Dissidia character.
Wait did you just...
Squall's my fave too. :)
Perhaps they will in Kingdom Hearts 3. I mean Cloud and Squall teamed up in KH2 so why not have Lightning join the team as well.
I wish man i wish
3 people were blinded by the light.
So glad people don’t make these spammy comments anymore, now that well… they can’t.
na nana naa nana nanana nananana na nana na nana nanananana (1:00)
Ever heard of Squall and Zidane?
@Zaneu
Well VerdantBlue I can understand. But olololololo wasn't really saying anything unnecessary. just that he'd preferred if the original one was in the game. lol
My nigga. Kefka is too, and I haven't played either 8 or 6. I really want to, but I never find the time.
If I knew any better, I’d think this comment was made in 2022 and not 2012.
Awesome? The people hate this game(FFXIII) and hate his music, and hate Square-Enix, but they buy his games... xD
Blinded Defiers Of Fate
@Zaneu I'm probably going to get yelled for this, but this almost sounds like its from Kingdom Hearts, Hollow Bastian
Whatever.
As a laguna main lightning was my biggest opp 😂😂😂
@Roxas935 Have some more!
lol ok now i know it's engrish, all my life i wrote english. Thanks bro lmao
If she were in KH3 she'd just be abrasive but not an outright bitch, just kind of cold but of course with it being KH she's have this really sweet side she'll only show to certain people.
I don’t see how Final Fantasy XIII could be such a hated Final Fantasy game. I saw gameplay as a teenager and thought it was cool
Final Fantasy fans are mentally challenged that's why
13 was an amazing tech demo, but suffered from being *way* too linear among other playbility issues (paradigm availability, saving, side quests, etc.) . I'm replaying 13-2 and that by far is the best game in the series, and honestly I'd go so far as to say one of the best FF games period.

The video got Blinded by Light in 2:10 , now the screen is dark..
FF8 is a great game. trust me. you won't regret playing it.
8?
Blinded By Light Blinded By Light ^_^
whats that noise at 0:03 and repeats alot. its like a really low pitch hum ...really odd.
does that type of noise have a name?
I dont think they'll change her personality if she's included in the game since her personality is similar to Clouds. She'll probably end up being less abusive towards others
I... genuinely forgot about all the VII follow ups, because none of them actually had you playing as any of the original cast (which technically Vincent isn't part of since he's an optional character, like Yuffie).
Not Vanille?
@crazypikachulol i said that in general cuz some fans don't even let others try it out
I know. I've heard alot about it. I'm more curious about 8. I've heard it's lame, and I've heard it's good.
hahahahaha "yadda yadda yadda square enix"
AWE to the SOME
Not even close.
@zexionfan15 since when does being recent void the right to remix? i'm not saying it's good or bad but they probably didn't wanna just leave it untampered since all the other main numbered battle themes were remixed too

Snow wasn't in this game!
@undead50 it does not sound anything like hollow bastion....

@VerdantBlue
... why does everyone gotta make something sound so fucked up when a simple "I think it sounds bad," would suffice?
Well... We are Fucked
@undead50 You're not going o get yelled at, but I'm going to say that hollow bastion's music sounds nothing like this. Hollow Bastion's. Scherzo di Notte has a much lower tempo, and doesn't really sound like a modern tehnoesque orchestral remix.
The only thing I like about FFXIII is the paradigm shifting. XD
Jin Kazama appeared for the first time in Tekken 3 on summer 1997, Siegfried on december 1996 ... Cloud appeared on january 1997 ... Do you think Cloud is a copy of the other two ?

really dude? you reply on a year old comment? wow bro
@knightforce01
You know that nobody knows what you are talking about right ?
if she does enter KH 3, then they would have to edit her out in a way that she cant punch a guy. hell her attitude might have to be changed
She's too badass for Kingdom Hearts games. And I agree. If they were to put her in one someday, they would have to heavily alter or even ruin her character to have her fit in
FF6 is a great game despite it's crappy GBA graphics. The story's great and very dramatic. :)
It sold well enough to make 2 sequels... but FFVI and VII did not? And X did also? I didn't like XIII, because I did find it linear, and I wasn't a fan of the combat. The story was also a little confusing for me. I loved XII comparatively, however. I love Lightning, and I love her theme. Gamers will complain because they're entitled, that's all there is to it.
I love Lightning but I don't like Squall all that much. :c
I don't hate him but he just is not in my favorites of Final Fantasy characters. :/
What? Light is awesome, Squall... dunno, he seems pathetic, Cloud is actually kinda cool.
@Pawgressive that didn't make any sense =/
the pity made me respond your recent comment from a year old comment. What's your excuse?
I love the 12 battle system, it was not for everyone though. I'll have to admit though I didn't care much for any of the characters other than Balthier... and the plot was mediocre... and the soundtrack was mostly forgettable... but it was still a fun game! =)

@SynthWoof Is it really necessary to be so demeaning just to correct someone on the composer of a video game?

@Shadowhero43 not trying to bitch but i actually thought ff13 was an amazing game. if my opinion counts ahah
To me, Lightning > every other ff character
Nah, Squall is pathetic, Sephiroth, very unimpressive, Cloud? Meh, he's ok, to say he's just Jin Kazama and SC's Siegfried combined, with some memory mix-up bullshit.
Just doesnt even remotely sound close to kingdom hearts hollow bastion
Kingdom hearts soundtrack is so good
Then you are blind
which kinda shows how much they've given up on developing new character ideas..., just rehash the same old shit
i admit i didn't bother with 13-2...10-2 was bad enough and i was already disappointed with 13
Such a good song for such a mediocre game. Ff13 not Dissidia.
It sounds.... awful. The violin part feels like it just randomly jumps in (and sounds a little flat and off tune to me with the background beat) and the just cuts out. It doesn't fit well with the fast paced remix IMHO.

Good but yeah, It could be better but ah well. I enjoy it still so who cares *shot*
