  • Hey, kings n queens!!
    Intro: 0:00
Timelapse of Painting and explanation: 1:24
    'We're not really strangers': 16:25

In this video, I talk about the second piece of art I have created from my collection of artworks called ‘Finally Seen’. This piece is called ‘Holding Myself Capable’ and it's about finally becoming emotionally self-empowered and swapping my 'inner critic' voice for a kinder, more maternal voice.
At the end, I answer a 'We're not really strangers' question that I encourage you all to answer too! Let's make this a safe and vulnerable space for besties!
I want to reiterate that I am not a qualified psychologist and everything I talk about in this video is my own personal experience and things I have read from books and come to understand from other types of content. If you are interested in this type of work, I would highly recommend reading anything by @theholisticpsychologist (Dr. Nicole Le Pera), or following her on social media. Her work has helped me immensely!
I hope this explanation of my painting interests you, and if you’d like to see more of my work please follow me on my social media platforms. I also do commissions and hope to exhibit my work in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam this year!

I also have an online course on Udemy called ‘Expressing Emotions through Painting’ where I guide you through the steps to create a piece inspired by an emotion. I personally find this process very healing and validating. I find that with ‘negative’ emotions, using that pain to create something beautiful that others can relate to feels so good. Below is the link to that course. Buying this course supports this channel so I can make more content!

Let’s start a vulnerable conversation below and spill the reali-TEA. “When was the last time you surprised yourself?”

Awww thanks so much, queen! Glad you enjoyed it! I feel like I'm not able to express myself in words very well, but I can paint something to express myself hahah!! So, I guess I've been gifted with imagery, but handicapped with words!
