1. So when we book thru points, suppose St Regis for 85k for 1 night.. what extra do we still need to pay?
2. What’s the deal with food? Since I don’t see complimentary B’fast.

Do they give you a suite automatically? Or you have to keep requesting for one at checkin ?
I am also platinum , but i end up having to fight for an upgrade to suite everytime i visit a hotel , JW sahar (asked but not upgraded), westin kolkata (had to talk to a duty manager who got a suite cleaned up , allotted a room after 6 hours) , both hotels just gave me a normal room on a higher floor (which a gold is also entitled to)… otherwise i do agree , lounge access and free breakfast is one of the best features of being a platinum

1. Ambassador Elite Qualification has been reduced from USD 20,000 to USD 14,000 for 2021.
2. Cobalt Elite Status is secret status above the Ambassador Elite Status. This is an Invitation only status.

Mine is till december 2022.
Once you get a status its valid for another full calendar year.

No, booking should be made via marriott bonvoy app or website only.

Yes you have to sign up on marriott site. You'll get the membership number that needs to be put on amex site when you intiate transfer
As you need to stay 100 nights in hotels to get ambassador card, first 100 nights every year ? Or just finish your 100 nights in one year and will get ambassador card with lifetime facility ?

If one gets Gold Elite status with Platinum charge card, they still have to stay 50 nights to get to Platinum Elite status right or is it 25 nights?
Still have to complete 50 nights. Because the status you get is not via staying but complimentary

My annual spends are almost 15 to 20 lakhs mainly business expenses so should i get a business card infinia is it ok to get a personal infinia card and show business expenses on that
Noob question but new to credit cards only use axis ace although a great card but doesn't have that louge access and i feel rewards in infinia are unparallel specially when you have to travel.
Firstly its not that big of a deal to put business expense on infinia, but yes if someday they audit you can loose out on points, hence id suggest if you do get, dont keep points for long durations.
2ndly you'll have to waiT since at the moment HDFC is not issuing new cards.
For lounge access there are many more cards you can go to. Not only infinia. But yes since you are new you'll have to do a bit of research

Using continously for business expense can get the account flagged. There have been instances of account flagging and points been taken away. So be careful
