It was not just four points, it was Marriot as the mother chain which has many other hotel brands under it.
Almost every major hotel brand has its own reward programme - Taj, Hilton, Accor, Trident and so on...

So by this logic, we need to hold membership at 5 star hotels to avil point buying facilities if this is not for first time user , 🙄
Membership is free for most of the 5 star (infact for all that I am a member of)
When buying a room through points you need to pay taxes which you have completely missed!
No Taxes to be paid. I booked a room worth 35000 a night in less than 17000 worth of points with no extra tax. Simple 50% savings!!!

But yes I just checked it for india…it seems no need for taxes.
