Perfect timing Matt, thanks. I bought Slate last year on a whim, but I strictly do live demos. Anyhow gotta start using my Slate and the tuning is so important. This is exactly what I was looking for. THANKS
Thanks for making this video Matt! I just stumbled across it because I've had a project where the toms sound AWFUL!!! This is a lifesaver, thanks so much! 🙏🏼
Good tip! It saved me trouble as I didn't know how to do it as easily and accurately. Thanks! A thing I noticed, instead of copying the plugin, just have an instance active on both channels and use the "Analyzer: Pre + Post" button on the bottom (usually used to see masking frequencies) and click on the other tom and it will overlay both spectrums in the one instance.
Adding a distortion plugin helps the fundamental of the drum come out and makes it easier to hear. Once you can hear the tone clearer it's much easier to tune by ear.
Great tip.I'm doing the same thing but i'm starting with samples that are closer in pitch to original especialy if they need to be tuned down. They may start to sound unnatural if tuned down below certain point bcs they are also stretched in length
A cool tip I'm gonna adding to my toolbox. I haven't seen any other TH-cam vids tuning sampled drums to the original drums. Thanks!
Thank you very much!
Very cool trick. This is going to be a nice time-saver. Thank you.
Awesome!

@@MattHepworth I put the drum tracks through this process and it sounds HUGE!!! Song going to mastering now! Thanks again Matt 🤘🏼

That can also work, indeed.
Very useful technique. First time I've seen anything like this, but am new to Trigger 2, so it's sure to be a game changer for me. Thanks!
Thanks so much!
LOVE LEARNING SOMETHING NEW! Thanks Matt
Thanks, Jorge!

Valid. You can get away with a lot, so I tend to look for the type of sound vs tuning.
This is brilliant. Thanks for the tip
Thanks so much! This is a killer tip

Awesome thank you
Thanks!
Cool trick. However, you didn't check phase polarity when you brought in the second sample.
True! Phase is so crucial.
Can you trigger to in a live setting with ProTools
Kind of. I believe it does add some latency.
