Levers and Bolts are fine. Im sure a single shot as well. The idea is to not eliminate folks not owning "hi dollar" target RF firearms.

Several years ago, a machinist friend milled a Weaver style rail for my BL-22. He milled the rail as thinly as possible to keep the scope quite low. I mounted a Burris 4x-12x, but the objective bell is considerably smaller than your Tasco. My scope setup is still higher than I would like, but quite tolerable
I don't like scopes on levers, but as I get older, just can't see those sites very well. This one's going back to open sites. The scope is just for this challenge.

That is a beautiful Browning BL-22! You dont see many of them around. I hate putting scopes on levers, cuz it changes their handling so much, but as age takes my eyes, I have no choice. Let's see how she shoots! Thanks for sharing!

During the great 22 shortage of 2013 when every old man in the US was plundering Walmarts and reselling crumby ammo for $80-100 per 500 I ordered several bricks of Eley for about the same money. I had just had my Stevens favorite recrowned and was looking to see what it could do.
I have a Favorite. Its ancient. Its not labeled even long rifle. So altho I have shot it its been with old long and short ammo. Its bore is blk! It was my Grandfathers as a boy. So made about 1900 ish

@@cw2a When I put a scope on my Henry X I bought an ammo cuff and put a section of furniture pad under it before I tied it down. Works pretty well.

I know its not a pic rail on top, but i wonder if anyone made a cantilever solution for this type of situation
There is conversions but they raise things up higher than they are. So this is just for the challenge so it's gonna work out fine.
I like those Browning Grade 2 BL-22's. But that SHORT 33 degree Lever throw caused Me to break mine. Wish I still had it. 😁👍🦶🪶🇺🇸
