Watch how my special friend Chris spent another Anthrocon, meeting his beloved lifesized plush animals, featuring stars such as Jib Kodi, Strobes, Kitwana and Kijani Lion, Cinder Collie and more! While I love to be in fursuit myself, my other favorite thing to do at conventions is to capture memories like this with my camera!

I am a wheelchair-bound fursuiter and this is so amazing I can't even for, the words to how this makes me feel it's just so yes! I am a huge proponent of getting the differently-abled being more in the fandom. Really guys. I really want to see more of this in the fandom, you have no idea what this means for the disabled community. I always try to promote more handicapped people to get involved with the furry fandom as there's no limits as to what you want to do in the fandom, even though it may be a bit different to achieve the end goal a little bit different than everyone else. You can do anything you set your mind to.
Disabled + funny = The best furry fandom
I'm wheelchair bounds for cons too, though I unfortunately don't have money for a suit -too many appointments to pay for...-
I wish i could come on by to my first furry con and interact and be involved with suiters. Looks very fun from what I can see.
I am special needs as well, actually. Feeding tube and related side-effects. Your words mean a lot to me. I don't let my condition stopping me to have fun!

I know I'm asking for it but what's the story behind Chris?
One day, he had discovered the fandom activities of me, Kijani Lion and Tycho Aussie online. In 2016, his mother Lynn fulfilled him his dream of attending his first-ever Anthrocon, where a private surprise meet & greet with some of our community's most well-known fursuiters has been arranged (there's video of this on my channel under "Popular Uploads"). Chris fell in love with the fursuiters and can't wait to be back at AC, year-after-year! If you're asking about his condition, it's called Cerebral Palsy (CP). Along with that goes a hearing and mobility disability.

Thank you for this video. Really. I'm what you'd call a closet furry, meaning that I don't own a fursuit (YET) nor do I look/sound like what a "typical" furry is. This video, among others, has really given me a push to become involved in the fandom more, as before I was a bit insecure of what ya'll would think about me to be honest. This is because I became a furry fairly recently, as before I was a furry hater. I thought you all just promoted bestiality and I said awful things about furryism that no one should hear. I'm deeply regretful for these actions. Anyway, with any luck, I'll be at Anthrocon next year. Thanks again and be well!

There's no "typical" Furry. As long as you're interested in anthropomorphic characters in some form, you can consider yourself a Furry. Owning a fursuit is absolutely optional and not required in order to have fun or enjoy a con. The fandom is what YOU make of it. Be a good Furry, do good things, surround yourself with good people and share good things you do with thw world around you.
We can't wait to welcome you at Anthrocon once the pandemic is over and cons can be held safely again.
@@KitwanaLion Gotcha. Thanks for helping to clarify some of the finer points behind the furry fandom. If there's no "typical" furry, then I'm assuming people from all areas of society and backgrounds participate in it. Cool. While I do not have a fursuit at present, I am currently making an ARF clone trooper uniform (Star Wars). If nothing else, I'll just wear that for now. After all, stuffed animals and action figures share the same toybox! I also am thinking about a couple of furry OCs.
Now for a question I have for you, if you don't mind. Why did YOU decide to become a furry, if that's the correct term to use?
@@jakekaywell5972 Absolutely, we've got people from all walks of life and all over the world in the fandom. I even know two Furries who are right at the forefront in developing and quality control for the Moderna vaccine, which will hopefully help to end this horrible pandemic.

You'll find my "Kitwana's Toys" playlist, a little show I am running where I feature my diverse toy collection. And yes, I have featured one Star Wars toy so far, the 31" Luke Skywalker Big Fig by Jakks Pacific.
I've found out about the Furry fandom by discovering the TH-cam channel of my good lion friend Kijani Lion and his public fursuiting videos. I had no idea the Furry fandom even existed until then, but I always enjoyed sports mascots and Disney theme park characters.
This makes my happy but sad cause I miss it
