Also saving excel files on usb, or folders on your hard drive. Or emailing files. Sheets only saves to your google drive and you can “share” or allow access to a file if you want to send it, but it’s not the same thing. The sheets files only lives ok your Google drive. It’s a huge limitation for computing to restrict programs and files as web only.
It’s too slow for my use. I have a blazing fast internet connection and it still lags at times. It’s not completely working on your PC - a lot of processing is done in the backend cloud. However the WORST part is you can’t save a sheets file and let’s say save it to a folder on your hard drive like you can an excel or a numbers file. It’s stored on Google drive. Can’t save it to usb or email it or anything. You can either share a link from sheets, otherwise the file lives in your Google drive. Google should have just made a desktop operating system instead of trying to do everything out of Chrome and online. Online computing has some severe limitations.
@@bogxd 228 mbps download, 45 mbps upload. It's not about the speed, the coding for the sheets program on chrome is poor... it's inefficient. The menu drop downs have a palpable lag as well. A spreadsheet is a very lightweight program, should not be slow ever. My computer is an i7 and blazing fast with pretty much any software I throw at is. Even chrome is snappy, just google sheets and docs is really annoying to use.
@@YouGotPropofol I see, I have definitely noticed the slowness in docs since I script my videos there and yeah that's annoying, but the slowness didn't really get my attention in sheets for some reason
Tbh google is welcome to sell my data (as long as its not my incognito search history), these tools gotta be funded somehow
fuhhin amazing. I know this will come in very useful in the near future. Exceptionally well done content.
Thanks! 🫡
I still don't know if I will switch from Excel. Working offline is a big plus.
