The part on the ship when they are arguing was because being around the mind stone messed with their head.. it’s kinda foreshadowing the powers scarlet witch gets from it. That’s why they were fighting and arguing.
You guys need to do Harry Potter after this And Nick needs to host And Cool Greg needs to be on KevCam And Greg needs to be McGonagall And Tim and Kevin need to stay beautiful
SHIELD started off as a Coulson show with his team as secondary characters, but since then it’s been the entire team primary characters. Anybody looking for more Marvel should check it out, the last couple of seasons especially have been spectacular.
I wish people wouldn't sleep on Agent of SHIELD. I will admit that I fell out of it also, but once Winter Solider hit the show became MUCH better. Now it's one of my most favorite shows of all time. There is not ONE bad episode in the show. And the way they handle 20+ episodes is how EVERY show with a 20+ episode season should do.
In interviews the showrunners said that they knew that the Winter Soldier twist was coming and was just stalling for time so they can do what they REALLY wanted to do. They get to read the scripts so they incorporate it in some way. That is why there is a steady increase in quality since Turn, Turn, Turn.
Marcus Brothers nah keep him suspended. Loved him but he didn’t do well with the plot and seeing him throw a fit bc he liked thor more than hulk was annoying
I love the scene when Iron Man and Cap are trying to fix the engine, and Cap opens up the panel and says, "It seems to run on some form of electricity!" with a little smirk on his face... so great.
Did they really say they don't get how they started arguing? Do they not remember the staff glowing. Everyone getting angry. Banner ending up holding it......come on guys
This is so nerdy but at 15 minutes you guys are talking about when all the Avengers are arguing with each other, it was literally a conflict forced by Loki's pokey stick. Loki's plan was to give the staff to Banner so it could manipulate the anger out of him so he could become the Hulk and kill all the avengers- which he tries to do. It's visually told, not with dialog, but that's why the camera turns upside down and centers on the Loki pokey stick, because the Mind Stone is in there and it manipulates people's minds the way the holder wants. That's the point of the upside down shot.
I love the MCU movies and I always look forward to the next episode of MCU in Review. Keep up the great work Kinda Funny!!! Here is my new ranking so far: 1. Avengers 2. Ironman 3. Ironman 2 4. Captain America: The First Avenger 5. Thor 6. Hulk Avengers is still just as awesome as it was back in 2012. I saw this movie 4 times in theaters, and it was such a great experience that took superhero movies to the next level. - Zanfare
I’m going back and watching all of the MCU films. Up to “Avengers,” my current ranking is: 1) Marvel’s The Avengers 2) Iron Man 3) The Incredible Hulk 4) Captain America: The First Avenger 5) Thor 6) Iron Man 2
I must say, and I don’t know if it’s been stated below or if anyone will actually see this, but when Nick is discussing them bickering and arguing with each other it’s the mind gem that’s causing them to get heated. The slant on the camera shot shows something almost hypnotic. They are under the influence and therefore allows for that over dramatic sense. Anyways :P Great episode again!
Yes! Just don't let Andy do it. I argue for it because they tend to also mention small (but great moments) from various scenes that typically don't get mentioned in an overarching review.
Logan Ferguson I also enjoy the analysis and dissection of the plot too, i like getting the different perspectives of the plot when they are going over it.
Not sure who suggested this series internally and organized this but what a coup de grace; really enjoying this and your all’s perspectives and investment
An additional fun fact about this movie. RDJ always hid food around the set (much to the chagrin of the staff), hence why the "Blueberry?" line is in the film as well as seeing him eat in various scenes.
"I miss Coulson." "Then watch Agents of SHIELD!" "No, thank you." Well, then missing Coulson is your loss. 3 million people are still loving him though.
Same here, IMO better than all 5 netflix marvel shows. Each season tops the last one. I really hope we get a 6th season because this one is been pretty nuts.
I recall really liking the hulk in this movie, especially as Banner. I think my favorite line was after he goes on about them wanting him in a pressurized container, and then it starts to lift off and he says "oh no, this is much worse." It was super nonchalant and a nothing line but I found it pretty hilarious.
They were fighting with each other because they were drugged by the septor. I guess you guys forgot about that while watching it this time and that's why you thought they were just arguing because of their egos. Loki's whole plan was to turn them using the septor. It's little things like this that make the movie so wonderful.
They seriously can’t judge agents of shield as undermining Phil coulson’s death, the show adds a lot more to his character and in a rewatch of the avengers, made me appreciate the beginning shield scenes that were somewhat lackluster before.
I hope you guys still do Black Panther for MCU In Review in order of all the films or it'll mess up the structure of this great series! + I hope when you get round to DCEU In Review you wait until there are more movies to do for a weekly series, maybe wait for Cyborg or Green Lantern Corps to be out? But with that being said great video, great review and stay awesome Kinda Funny!
Just make the plot recap like 10 mins. No need to cram it down so only people who actually know the plot will understand the recap, and no need to make it like 75% of the vid.
Voicing my opinion as liking this plot description more than last week's. We have already seen the movie, I prefer the discussion rather than a huge recap.
Bryan Lonsdale wtf, the wording of this is terrible. If a show takes multiple seasons to get good then it’s probably a bad show having a good season. However I’ve seen shield and it gets good at the fall of shield twist which happens halfway through season 1. It’s been improving constantly bettering itself since. So I’d say it takes a couple episodes not seasons or you’ll never get anyone to watch the show.
The Iron Man/Cap move where he shoots at Cap's shield is actually from a video game! Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. It was awesome in the game and when I saw it in this movie for the first time I freaked out.
I felt the same way in Incredible Hulk when he rips the car in half and makes boxing gloves out of them. That is straight out of Hulk Ultimate Destruction.
These suspensions are clearly just building up to the MCU In Review Civil War where we get two Reviews of Civil War, one with Kevin, Andy and Cool Greg and another with Greg, Nick and Tim.
Don't know if you guys will this, but just structure it like games daily. Just have a 5-10 minute plot if its really complex. Don't rush it, but the plot isn't the whole review. Then gregway to the next segment. And so on. Thanks for working so hard to please your audience, we notice.
I agree with Nick that Iron Man 1 is more fun than Avengers. Iron Man was a much more character-driven story and since the character in question is RDJ as Tony Stark, it naturally lends itself to more fun times. Also, Iron Man would be in my #1 spot of movies so far, if Avengers didn't do such a good job with basically everything it did.
Tim, I’m surprised you don’t just have all the information on an iPad instead of a piece of paper. Save the rebellion, save the trees. All jokes aside, Love the reviews!
I personally agree with you, it is definitely one of the top MCU Movies. But after 6 of these Kinda Funny Reviews......I'm afraid that may not be the case.
TheOlympicHero1 I honestly think all their reviews are good! And i’m pretty sure they’ll change some stuff along the way. It’s just the beginning. And it’s THEIR Top MCU films, you can have your list and I can have mine. To be fully honest, they’re not making good points from nothing, they’re making actual great points.
Ryan Amoudi I appreciate that it's their reviews, and their insight is always good as it often opposes my own. But there are some things that are misinformed and a lot of comments that straight up come from a lack of film knowledge. Like crediting the hulk/Loki moment to being something "films don't do". When what they really meant was superhero movies specifically had yet to surprise and counter expectations. The Avengers is the best written blockbuster in the last 10 maybe 20 years. I personally think the film is held too highly as a film. As a superhero film it's top tier, but on the grand scheme of cinema it's probably not top 100. I know the guys are probably looking at this in the context of other superhero films only, and that's how I enjoy it. But some comments make me think the guys consider these films some of the best in all cinema. Which to be fair, is a perfectly fine opinion to have, it's why I watch, for the opinions, it's just a point of disconnect for me personally.
For the plot, you guys should break it up into acts 1, 2, and 3 with each of you able to review your parts from those sections. Each act is a broad strokes recap.
"Tony is the main character of all these movies AND FOR GOOD REASON!" Critics said the same thing about Wolverine when X-Men was coming out, give it time.
To me, Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner in this movie was much better than he was in _Thor: Ragnarok_ and is my #2 in the entire MCU, right behind _Captain America: The Winter Soldier_ .... this movie holds up really well.
1) Iron Man 2) Captain America: The First Avenger 3) The Avengers 4) Iron Man 2 5) Incredible Hulk 6) Thor RaGu BaGu: 1) Loki 2) Red Skull 3) Justin Hammer 4) Emil Blonsky 5) Mickey 6) Obadiah
yeah nick is a better host than the others and the kinda funny guys have more interesting opinions about movies than they do about video games. great series!
Lucas Sarquiz I think that’s true. I honestly think most people didn’t catch that myself included when the movie came out so i think it’s fair to say they didn’t do the best job fleshing out that bit of plot.
16:18 The synchronized cup pick up and put down was beyond perfect. I cried a little
Damn. lol
I noticed that too. That was great lol
Can tell tim wanted someone to make eye contact cause he knew what was going down
#AndyWasRight about Thor being better than Incredible Hulk
Greg recapping in only 2 minutes just made me want him to recount the entire movie. Just have Greg do it every time from now one, I say
The part on the ship when they are arguing was because being around the mind stone messed with their head.. it’s kinda foreshadowing the powers scarlet witch gets from it. That’s why they were fighting and arguing.
Officially Scarlet Witch now!! And they showed her fucking with the mind stone just like you predicted!
"There is no Zack Snyder cut."
This did not age well.
Nick also says "They have Solo coming out, that will make Disney money" lol
This is only 47 minutes? I am surprised by that. I thought for sure it would go for at least an hour.
Owen Johnson same
You guys need to do Harry Potter after this
And Nick needs to host
And Cool Greg needs to be on KevCam
And Greg needs to be McGonagall
And Tim and Kevin need to stay beautiful
55meds that'd be Amazing 😂
This is a bad idea...
Please!
This man knows what needs to be done.
55meds this right here.
SHIELD started off as a Coulson show with his team as secondary characters, but since then it’s been the entire team primary characters. Anybody looking for more Marvel should check it out, the last couple of seasons especially have been spectacular.

There is not ONE bad episode in the show. And the way they handle 20+ episodes is how EVERY show with a 20+ episode season should do.
I especially like how the show's plots change with the release of Winter Soldier. So good
In interviews the showrunners said that they knew that the Winter Soldier twist was coming and was just stalling for time so they can do what they REALLY wanted to do. They get to read the scripts so they incorporate it in some way. That is why there is a steady increase in quality since Turn, Turn, Turn.
Just let Greg do the plot, give him a longer limit if you’re gonna time him!
Keep the plot longer and keep Andy on the panel!
#FreeCandyAndy
Marcus Brothers nah keep him suspended. Loved him but he didn’t do well with the plot and seeing him throw a fit bc he liked thor more than hulk was annoying
Andy is sick, him being suspended was a joke.
WHERE IS ANDY??!!?? WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO RAGUBAGU?
Chris Evans had a prosthetic in the shawarma scene to cover his beard for Snowpiercer
2 minute review is the worst change you could have made. Listening to everyone discuss each scene was awesomeeeee.
#ShutUpKevin
Fun Fact: In the original script for the Avengers, Red Skull was going to appear alongside Loki as the film's primary antagonists.
I love the scene when Iron Man and Cap are trying to fix the engine, and Cap opens up the panel and says, "It seems to run on some form of electricity!" with a little smirk on his face... so great.
Bring the Plot back !
This movie is ten years old and still gets me pumped up to watch it.
whenever i rewatch an mcu movie i always rewatch the in-review too to hear the guys’ reactions. love this shit
Didn't like the plot description on this episode as much as on the others!
No Andy :(
That synchronized sip at 16:18 though.
connorrobles1 Tim definetely joined in and smirks at it lol
Did they really say they don't get how they started arguing? Do they not remember the staff glowing. Everyone getting angry. Banner ending up holding it......come on guys
The shot literally turns upside down to signify that the scepter is turning everything on it's head.
That's the point of the upside down shot.
I am really surprised that all of them missed this. Also I can tell you're a Kevin Smith fan by the use of "Loki pokey stick" ;D
I love the MCU movies and I always look forward to the next episode of MCU in Review. Keep up the great work Kinda Funny!!!
Here is my new ranking so far:
1. Avengers
2. Ironman
3. Ironman 2
4. Captain America: The First Avenger
5. Thor
6. Hulk
Avengers is still just as awesome as it was back in 2012. I saw this movie 4 times in theaters, and it was such a great experience that took superhero movies to the next level. - Zanfare

I’m going back and watching all of the MCU films. Up to “Avengers,” my current ranking is:
1) Marvel’s The Avengers
2) Iron Man
3) The Incredible Hulk
4) Captain America: The First Avenger
5) Thor
6) Iron Man 2
This show has become part of my work day every Tuesday. So good.
Man, Andy's absence speaks volumes.
Also, bring back the scene by scene!
He wasn't suspended, that was a joke.
Man every new review gets better and better than the last one. Again keep up the amazing work Greg and the KF crew!!
A crazy fact is the guy playing Galaga is the voice of Rafe in Uncharted 4.
9:05 Tim's Face
I had to rewatch his reaction multiple times :D
Not enough Andy and not enough plot recap
No more short 2 minute plots. The long ones are way better and kind of the highlight of these videos. Still a great video!
Hilarious how the three take a sip of water at 16:18 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Keep the plot section longer please!
Yes! Just don't let Andy do it. I argue for it because they tend to also mention small (but great moments) from various scenes that typically don't get mentioned in an overarching review.
I agree. There are different ways they can try to do it
Logan Ferguson I also enjoy the analysis and dissection of the plot too, i like getting the different perspectives of the plot when they are going over it.
Andy practically read the script for captain America, Greg's iron man 2 plot is the perfect example of it done right
Not sure who suggested this series internally and organized this but what a coup de grace; really enjoying this and your all’s perspectives and investment
From now on you better make this show at least 90 minutes because I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW AND I WANT MORE OF IT! DO IT!!!
Loving the deep dives on these because it brings up things I didn’t realize either!
My rankings so far
1) Avengers
2) Iron Man
3) Captain America
4) Thor
5) Hulk
6) Iron Man 2
Another awesome one! Ey you don't have to rush thru the plot! Half the fun is how you guys tangent during the recap! Gimme more! Hahaa!
Great work guys! And shout out to Kevin for his attention to detail. Loving it can’t wait for the next one.
My favorite series on this channel, can't wait for next week
Best part of this review is the simultaneous sip at 16:19.
Can we talk about the synchronized sipping at 16:18?
An additional fun fact about this movie. RDJ always hid food around the set (much to the chagrin of the staff), hence why the "Blueberry?" line is in the film as well as seeing him eat in various scenes.
Nick the scepter in the room caused the anger and fighting in the room between the heros
Hands down one of my all time favourite movies. Saw it 40 times in the cinema. I was obsessed
You guys have missed a big opportunity in the post credit scenes with a "civil war" type break up between Ragu Bagu and Chillin' with the Villians.
"I miss Coulson."
"Then watch Agents of SHIELD!"
"No, thank you."
Well, then missing Coulson is your loss. 3 million people are still loving him though.
Coulson is great in the show. The show is tough to watch.
And the rest of us are still not interested lol.
Peter Korman I disagree completely. I really enjoy that show
Same here, IMO better than all 5 netflix marvel shows. Each season tops the last one. I really hope we get a 6th season because this one is been pretty nuts.
Did anybody else notice the three of them take a drink at the same time once Nick starts talking, or am I going crazy?
I recall really liking the hulk in this movie, especially as Banner. I think my favorite line was after he goes on about them wanting him in a pressurized container, and then it starts to lift off and he says "oh no, this is much worse." It was super nonchalant and a nothing line but I found it pretty hilarious.
Everyone complaining about no Andy. They state he is SICK
Don't like the timed plot, would prefer the old format :)
I still love: Genius, Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist - Robert Downey Jr, rocks it as Tony Stark
Best plot recap yet. Manic Greg is best Greg.
They were fighting with each other because they were drugged by the septor. I guess you guys forgot about that while watching it this time and that's why you thought they were just arguing because of their egos. Loki's whole plan was to turn them using the septor. It's little things like this that make the movie so wonderful.
I do love the plot synopses.
Order so far:
1.Avengers
2. Iron Man
3. Captain America: First Avenger
4. Iron Man 2
5. Thor
6. The Incredible Hulk
slightly disappointed we didn't get a post-credits scene with you guys all eating shawarmas
MaximLight269 they did something similar for the first kinda funny live
did anyone else catch that at 16:19 ...they all drank at the same time! lol
Also, I loved the free wheeling plot discussions. Please bring it back?
They seriously can’t judge agents of shield as undermining Phil coulson’s death, the show adds a lot more to his character and in a rewatch of the avengers, made me appreciate the beginning shield scenes that were somewhat lackluster before.
Thank you for doing this gentleman. I absolutely love this. Keep it up!
Where's my boy Candy Andy.... Someone about to catch these hands.
Just had a great thought watching this review :) You should rename the channel from "Kinda Funny" to "Excuse Me While I Interrupt You"
Just got some wisdom teeth pulled, and this just made my day. 😅
The Avengers, what a fantastic movie. I forgot Ashley Johnson was in the movie, and every time she appeared, I got way too excited about it.
I actually kinda liked how you guys recapped the film. Great humor most of the time so I enjoyed it even though I watched the film before
No Mention of "I have an army. We have a hulk."
Shout out to Colson in Agents of Shield. That show got really good after the first couple seasons
Jeremy H Jesus, was it really in the first season? I guess the first half of that season just dragged on forever then. Lol my bad
Galaga was fore shadowing of the aliens coming down later in the film. :)
Tony also says “Clench up Legolas” to Hawkeye
I can't think of too many movies I was more hyped to see in the theatres than The Avengers.
I know you can't please everyone but I loved the plot breakdowns! Bring them back!
These suspensions are clearly just building up to the MCU In Review Civil War where we get two Reviews of Civil War, one with Kevin, Andy and Cool Greg and another with Greg, Nick and Tim.
Best line in the movie: "You and I remember Budapest very differently."
Plot recap by Greg was great, but too fast. Maybe 5 or 10 minutes.
Also, 007 in Review hosted by Nick would be awesome.
Loving the drinking in sync at 16:19
twitter.com/ShabeRaven/status/961026552451313664
Much better for me, is mcu in review no mcu recap, amazing work btw love you guys and miss andy
Don't know if you guys will this, but just structure it like games daily. Just have a 5-10 minute plot if its really complex. Don't rush it, but the plot isn't the whole review. Then gregway to the next segment. And so on. Thanks for working so hard to please your audience, we notice.

new rule. If andy doesnt make it to the show, take the day off..
Only 47 minutes?!?!!!?!!
I guess that’s fine. Awesome content as usual guys.
Tim, I’m surprised you don’t just have all the information on an iPad instead of a piece of paper. Save the rebellion, save the trees.
All jokes aside, Love the reviews!
Did y’all watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D? Coulson is still alive. He saves the day in Age of Ultron.
Black Widow has a lesser Russian knockoff version of the Super Soldier serum. It was one of the final things they do to their black widows.
Not in the MCU. Widow is not powered in the movies at all, she's a regular human. She's only enhanced in the comics.
Calling it. Winter solider is the best marvel movie.
You and I know that, but I'm not confident the guys will reach that conclusion.
I guarantee at least 2 of them don't rate it. They seem to have really bizarre points that they gravitate towards and others they breeze over.

Maybe make the plot walkthrough 5-10 minutes?
"Tony is the main character of all these movies AND FOR GOOD REASON!"
Critics said the same thing about Wolverine when X-Men was coming out, give it time.
To me, Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner in this movie was much better than he was in _Thor: Ragnarok_ and is my #2 in the entire MCU, right behind _Captain America: The Winter Soldier_ .... this movie holds up really well.
1) Iron Man

5) Incredible Hulk
6) Thor
RaGu BaGu:
1) Loki
2) Red Skull
3) Justin Hammer
4) Emil Blonsky
5) Mickey
6) Obadiah
i think capt beard was for filming Snow piercer (2013)
Aww I thought they would sit at the table eating lunch like the shcwarmuh scene
yeah nick is a better host than the others and the kinda funny guys have more interesting opinions about movies than they do about video games. great series!
You should totally do DC in review, but do all DC movies starting with the first Superman film
Don't they get angry at each other due to the scepter being there? or loki's mindfuckery?
Lucas Sarquiz I think that’s true. I honestly think most people didn’t catch that myself included when the movie came out so i think it’s fair to say they didn’t do the best job fleshing out that bit of plot.
They were at each other’s throats in that scene because the staff was fucking with their heads. Cmon Nick
This makes my whole week
Yooooo, avengers came out May 4th and Infinity War will come out on May 4th, that's pretty cool
Dgripper Not anymore lol - April 27 (today!)
