Hi ! Can you please clarify: which should be put to deforming: "fluid" or "interior-fluid" from the drop-down list in the Dynamic mesh zone names? Thank you !

Hi Thank you for the informative video. Helping me a lot. one basic question: why dynamic mesh is necessary in this case. if we give a "moving wall" as a boundary condition is that not sufficient to rotate the fluid domain. & under the moving wall, "motion" should be "absolute" right ? why "relative to adjacent cell zone" is taken also, Can you do a CFD analysis of partial arc bearing and upload it to youtube.
1. From what i know, in here dynamic mesh is to simulate the reaction of deformation of the structural domain. 2. my knowledge to dynamic mesh still limited, so basically i just ran out the default. 3. i cant do CFD analysis of partial arc bearing. Thank you!!
Hi! Great Tutorial and Video! How I see, the New Ansys Meshing Interface is closer to modern soft, In 2019 R1 its very old. So, if i simulate only Fluid flow bearing can i use not static domain, but rotating surface in transient case or not?
Plz, what do you mean, note: for the dynamic mesh, you should input the fluid (volume domain ) to deforming. I didn't show used fluid domain only the wall static and moving, and there is attitude angle or the coupling will calculated it
@@simulationmaster1467 Many thanks for your answer Plz, you mean input it in the setting of the smoothing or no Also, I have another answer gravity mustn't activated this effect if activated or not Thanks again

And dont forget to input gravity!
Yup, already. Tq.

Do you have any course for dynamic analysis of journal bearing to determine damping coefficients and stiffness using ANSYS?
"I completed all the steps, and the simulation is finished. However, I'm unsure how to visualize the results. Could you please explain how to do it?
Thanks for the demo. What is the scale of your geometry (i.e. inner, and outer diameter, and fluid film thickness)?

here, as I remember, I use this parameter in the video. Hope it help you.

Hi, Waiting for the FSI analysis on partial arc bearing. Thank you in advance
Hi, how did you got that shaft fluid and body three separate surfaces in geometry?
@simulation master, how can we plot the graph between theta and pressure. i am facing difficulty in creating in CFD post.
Make a line using CFD post, around outer bearing, make graph, extract graph data to excel.

yup, you can do it, if what you mean is simulate journal bearing with transient FLUENT.
Hello, what is the diameter of the shaft and when is the internal diameter of the bearing?

@simulation master plz, can you answer me
@@potato6100 it means when you added system coupling at fluent dynamic mesh, you should input your fluid volume domain to deforming and click create.
@@simulationmaster1467 Many thanks for your answer

@@potato6100 1. yes i checklist smoothing setting
2. yes the gravity, how can i forget about that, yes you should input gravity.

Hello,
I want to ask, does the end time simulate the real rotation that occur in journal bearing?
hmmm i kinda dont understand your question but here:
if you give 1000 rpm, at the end time it will be 1000 rpm. its not decreasing to 0 or else.
@@simulationmaster1467 owgh, I see. What if I want to get the eccentricity of the shaft on 1000 rpm?
@@padangwulan9306 you should input the eccentricity while you are meking the 3d design
@@simulationmaster1467 thank you
Another question: when doing the transient setup, does the automatic connection are all suppressed?
Hi. Can you please send me the whole project file? Thank you
im sorry i cant, but i believee you can do it by wathcing the video
Hello,
can you please share with me the geometry file only !?
th-cam.com/video/exGgEU1tncY/w-d-xo.html
Here I show you how I made it, eventhough it may not have same parameter :/
can you just make a video to make a geometry file or just sand a STEP file of geometry
th-cam.com/video/exGgEU1tncY/w-d-xo.html
here I made it eventually, but it may have different parameter, I couldnt remember which parameter I used for simulation video. Thank you.
