I shared my little knowledge to help others. Just as simple as that. And support me if you want more content.
Solidworks ModelMania 2021 2xspeed
This is how I model the challanges of ModelMania 2021 had given back at December 2020. I hope it can help you understand on how to model it. Thank you and please discuss anything about the model on the comment down below.

HOW TO MAKE JOURNAL BEARING FLUID with Solidworks16
มุมมอง 2.4K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Im sorry for late post, I should have been post this last year. Here you go. How I make the fluid inside of Journal Bearing. I hope it can help. Thank you!
SIMULATION of JOURNAL BEARING with FSI by using ANSYS 19.5

From the previous Video, I had given tutorial about simulating Journal Bearing without FSI (Rigid Body). Now is the continuation of the previous video. I hope this video will help you, and THANKS :D
HOW TO SIMULATE JOURNAL BEARING NON FSI with ANSYS 2016
มุมมอง 7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Journal Bearing is one of the most important element in mechanical Engineering study. Here i give you tutorial on how to simulate Journal Bearing ignoring the effect of the structure (non-FSI). Hope it will help your study and your problem. You are free to ask me anything in this particular topic. THANK YOU.
hi ,in inlet boundary condition you take zero and also outlet ,,but if i take in my simulation ,,it gives error ,,
Hi can I get your email id? I need some help for my project (2 way FSI for Ball bearing (Mech-Fluid) ) 😑...Please help me out if possible
Do you have any course for dynamic analysis of journal bearing to determine damping coefficients and stiffness using ANSYS?
Bro can i get the files
"I completed all the steps, and the simulation is finished. However, I'm unsure how to visualize the results. Could you please explain how to do it?
Like very nice
Thank you very much for the great video. Can you share the CAD files or can you give us the dimension of the geometry? It will help us to follow this tutorial. (you can put the link for the geometry in the description) Thank you
what are the boundary condition and governing equation
if the material that I use is lubricant, where do i have change the properties? At the reference value or at the material properties itself?
"Update failed for the Solution component in System Coupling. The coupled update for system Transient Structural threw an exception. Mechanical Units preferences have caused a problem. Before attempting to solve System Coupling again, edit the Mechanical Setup cell and set Analysis Settings > Analysis Data Management > Solver Units = Manual. This change will ensure units are communicated correctly between Mechanical and System Coupling and will avoid a dependency on the preferences set for the Mechanical Units" This error is showing
Hello, where can I get the measurements for a 325 mm diameter bearing?
Hello, what is the diameter of the shaft and when is the internal diameter of the bearing?
thank you fro your the video i hope to apply for 4pad journal bearing case. how to make boundary condition. there is gap between pad and pad
Hi, how did you got that shaft fluid and body three separate surfaces in geometry?
can yo send me your contact details... i need some help regarding my simulation
yes, you can contact me on my email. muhammadbagir97@outlook.com I would like to help your problem :)
Thank you for the clear video, very helpful. Can we find bearing characteristics like load bearing capacity, critical damping frequency and friction factor some way through this?
yes you can calculate Load Bearing Capacity or Load Carrying Capacity in post processing in ansys by calculating integer of Pressure at area of static wall (the wall that had a contact with bearing)
about critical damping and friction factor, I have no idea how to calculate it
@@simulationmaster1467 okay thank you!
After extruding, didn't it become like a hollow shaft. In journal bearing there is space between inner shaft and outer bush.
yes exactly, you are drawing the gap between it, the clearance, the fluid it self.
Oh! Got it. Thank you!
Thanks for the demo. What is the scale of your geometry (i.e. inner, and outer diameter, and fluid film thickness)?
th-cam.com/video/exGgEU1tncY/w-d-xo.html
here, as I remember, I use this parameter in the video. Hope it help you.
Could you please share the model file of this on my mail id. ranavishwajeet1@gmail.com Thanks!
@simulation master, how can we plot the graph between theta and pressure. i am facing difficulty in creating in CFD post.
Make a line using CFD post, around outer bearing, make graph, extract graph data to excel.
can you just make a video to make a geometry file or just sand a STEP file of geometry
th-cam.com/video/exGgEU1tncY/w-d-xo.html
here I made it eventually, but it may have different parameter, I couldnt remember which parameter I used for simulation video. Thank you.
Hello, can you please share with me the geometry file only !?
th-cam.com/video/exGgEU1tncY/w-d-xo.html
Here I show you how I made it, eventhough it may not have same parameter :/
Hi! Great Tutorial and Video! How I see, the New Ansys Meshing Interface is closer to modern soft, In 2019 R1 its very old. So, if i simulate only Fluid flow bearing can i use not static domain, but rotating surface in transient case or not?
yup, you can do it, if what you mean is simulate journal bearing with transient FLUENT.
Hi Thank you for the informative video. Helping me a lot. one basic question: why dynamic mesh is necessary in this case. if we give a "moving wall" as a boundary condition is that not sufficient to rotate the fluid domain. & under the moving wall, "motion" should be "absolute" right ? why "relative to adjacent cell zone" is taken also, Can you do a CFD analysis of partial arc bearing and upload it to youtube.
1. From what i know, in here dynamic mesh is to simulate the reaction of deformation of the structural domain. 2. my knowledge to dynamic mesh still limited, so basically i just ran out the default. 3. i cant do CFD analysis of partial arc bearing. Thank you!!
Hi, Waiting for the FSI analysis on partial arc bearing. Thank you in advance
Nice. Similarly Can u show us how to do CFD analysis of partial arc bearing
Im sorry, i cant, its just smply because i dont know how to simulate it yet.
This video is also FSI??@@simulationmaster1467
Great work Can you mail the model to saigeethander32936@gmail.com please ?
im sorry i cant,
Plz, what do you mean, note: for the dynamic mesh, you should input the fluid (volume domain ) to deforming. I didn't show used fluid domain only the wall static and moving, and there is attitude angle or the coupling will calculated it
@simulation master plz, can you answer me
@@potato6100 it means when you added system coupling at fluent dynamic mesh, you should input your fluid volume domain to deforming and click create.
@@simulationmaster1467 Many thanks for your answer Plz, you mean input it in the setting of the smoothing or no Also, I have another answer gravity mustn't activated this effect if activated or not Thanks again
@@potato6100 1. yes i checklist smoothing setting 2. yes the gravity, how can i forget about that, yes you should input gravity.
@@simulationmaster1467 many thanks
If you have the video of how to model, dimension, mesh it etc.. please share it.. thank you..
Thank you for your advice sir. Maybe im going to do it in shor time.
note: for the dynamic mesh, you should input the fluid (volume domain ) to deforming. Thank you. And dont forget to input gravity!
Yup, already. Tq.
Hi ! Can you please clarify: which should be put to deforming: "fluid" or "interior-fluid" from the drop-down list in the Dynamic mesh zone names? Thank you !
@@padangwulan9306 could you please share the model of it. ranavishwajeet1@gmail.com Thanks!
Hi. Can you please send me the whole project file? Thank you
im sorry i cant, but i believee you can do it by wathcing the video
Hello, I want to ask, does the end time simulate the real rotation that occur in journal bearing?
hmmm i kinda dont understand your question but here: if you give 1000 rpm, at the end time it will be 1000 rpm. its not decreasing to 0 or else.
@@simulationmaster1467 owgh, I see. What if I want to get the eccentricity of the shaft on 1000 rpm?
@@padangwulan9306 you should input the eccentricity while you are meking the 3d design
@@simulationmaster1467 thank you
Another question: when doing the transient setup, does the automatic connection are all suppressed?
