That looks like so much fun!! 🤩. Just meandering around windy streets in a beautiful setting. Your wife and mother in law did really good!! 👍🏻. I enjoy watching these videos 😊
It is amazing that those ancient villages still stand! AND wonderful that you take us along to see them! Antique hunting is fun, and exciting when you find a special treasure! Love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻 30:33
I think that you are correct about the thrifting part. I have been doing it for many years and as time goes by I have gotten a bit more choosey about what I actually buy. Over here we have quite a few YT thrifters and that is what is driving the prices up at the stores where you can't even get the bargains much anymore. It was good to see all the places you went to and get a good look around though. Have a great day
I love Domfront, saw the solar eclipse there early 2000's from the chateau gardens. I used to stand at that vide grenier selling English linens. I had a house just outside of Lassay for 21 years.
Love having Sam and her mom join you. They know you well and ensure your needs are met! Great finds. I find that as I get older, I am fussy also. Now before I buy, I think, do I need that? I still love it when I can treat myself just the same. You may not have found anything, but you had a great walk and coffee.❤
Wow! Those Beautiful Ancient towns. You have to admire the French how they want to preserve and invest in these old towns unlike the UK where they knock the buildings down and rebuild with flats (forget the history). Thank you Sean lovely video ❤
I think you should rent a table at one of those festivals with your chopping boards and other items to sell like everyone else does. Thanks for sharing your travels with us :) Do you have a dragon weathervane? Rosieres has one on their cottage would be sweet if yours did. Not sure of the folklore or reasons people use them but fun to have. Zinc and copper ones on antique sites online. Maybe the other cottage or barn you can make a shop that locals can come and see your wares at your property. What about a reclamation yard always different stuff in there either that or going further afield. Funny you found a weather vane an owl one is cool. Great finds Sam :)
Ignorance is not bliss! I am 80 yrs old and would have or could have not known the beauty of your Country and the peoples, their ways, their understandings. Bless you for sharing with many of us whom will not remain ignorant anymore!
Love the peacefulness of the old towns, so many antiques, its hard to pick just one. All the nice things your wife purchased are amazing, can't wait for the next trip, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for taking us along. This was a delightful trip and perhaps better wall lights await you Sean, than the ones the other fellow bought. It is so good to know that Sam's Mom is well. Take care.
I see it as a garden feature with a pot of petunias hanging inside. I can’t wait to see how you restore it and what you do with it. ❤️🇨🇦. Hello to your beautiful family, Sean.
Sean, you may be “fussy” when looking for merchandise at vide-greniers , but you have a keen and discerning eye for what you need/want/sellable, as does Sam and her mom! I throughly enjoy these shopping trips as well as seeing the beautiful towns.
😂😂😂 Sean, with your penchant for all things antique, it's just as well you only have a cottage and not a chateau to renovate.....and I'm betting that given your pack-rat tendencies, Sam's glad as well 😂😂😂
The view at 22:57 is magical, and the chateau in the far background is something out of a fairytale. I wish I could have been there, walking along those medieval streets and alleyways.
Hello to Sam and Lynn. I spoke to soon on yesterday's post. Lynn I'm so happy to see you back on your feet again. Bless you and keep up the good work finding all those goodies.
Thats is why I love France they do their displays of flowers dotted around always looks colourful and tidy.A lovely pretty place you went to Sean. Never mind you cant always buy stuff, still you had a consolation prize given to you by Sam and her mum nice😘
Hello Sam, Lynn and Sean!🤗 My Dad and I were watching and Dad saw something at the start of the video that his father often used on the farm. Then Sam’s Mom bought it as a gift!!! We were elated it was saved and what a coincidence!!! The metal spike object was a portable anvil used by a scythe man. My grandfather used one like that to straighten the edge of his scythe after it was deformed by hitting a stone or small stump. You would sit on the ground, plant the sharp point into the dirt between your knees up until the loops would touch the surface (preventing it from going too far down). The top, narrow, flat part would be used to hammer flat the knock or bump made to the scythe by the rock. After this the scythe could be sharpened with a small sharpening stone. My father saw my grandfather use it many times to sharpen his scythe to cut the grass for hay. 🤓😊🤗🤗
Sean could you please tell us why it is better to buy older copper pots versus new ones. Is is something more cleaner in the metal. Just wondering for a long time Beautiful vlog.
You would never know from all of the right-wing leaning politics in France and across Europe that it's only a mere 80yrs since the D-Day landings. People have awfully short memories. Why so many are in such a rush to return to the conditions that led up to and including WWIII is completely beyond me. The young could be perhaps forgiven, but for the older generations, it's still within living memory, and they should know better.

Loved the little trip ❤
Beautiful town 😊😊😊

That was great fun tagging along with you guys!❤😊
Are you going to Paris to watch the opening ceremony on the river Seine. Think it will be something no one has ever seen before. Well done Paris.

😂😂😂 Sean, with your penchant for all things antique, it's just as well you only have a cottage and not a chateau to renovate.....and I'm betting that given your pack-rat tendencies, Sam's glad as well 😂😂😂
I love history and architecture so you can talk about it.
The view at 22:57 is magical, and the chateau in the far background is something out of a fairytale. I wish I could have been there, walking along those medieval streets and alleyways.
I think that small horn was for fox hunting!

Fantastic watch Thankyou all
I have a bamboo steamer. I always say half the fun of shopping is in the chase, the other half is finding some one else to pay for it.

Hi Colette thanks for sharing 👍 that story 😊 now l know what it is that's great
@@SeansUniverse-te5vd Your very much welcome. My father is really pleased that you enjoyed the information.😊😊😊
I loved the pig shaped grill. I wished I was there I would have bought it
Sean could you please tell us why it is better to buy older copper pots versus new ones. Is is something more cleaner in the metal. Just wondering for a long time Beautiful vlog.
People are selling more of their stuff on eBay, where the buying audience is significantly larger, and the prices often higher.
Like the NY hat! I rather walk around that cool town looking at all of the “junk”😂 than the stuff around here!
Loved the video sweet dreams
Glad you enjoyed
Good Video 👍👍👍
Nice draw knife and trammel
😊❤👍🥳🥰
At 20:15 I think you missed a beautiful kettle.
Can you explain what you mean by "over polished " on the copper pots? I would love to understand how to look for quality and a bargain.
Heavily scratched
Where are you? Is this a guessing game.
Iam in my kitchen at the moment 😃
15:58 maybe used to speak to the hard of hearing? An ear trumpet
Since you have so much that you can’t know , maybe you need to have a stall yourself to get more funds from things you won’t use?
