Another rant.. Colored circles in my post image. Watching a movie, I wanted to clarify a common misunderstood "cool guy" way of wearing a holstered side arm with a PTR (pistol thigh rig), leg holster, or any other number of ways it's called. This point is only of these type holsters, not cross draw, IWB/OWB, back worn or vest strapped, etc. It started bc operators needed another place to carry their side arm aka extra gun aka pistol bc their combat belt, duty belt, etc was cluttered with gear, hence the thigh holster. But anyone that actually used one knows that it'll be bouncing around back n forth while walking and esp when running. It's not optimal and needs to be really secured in place with extra straps n such. Ideally it's to be worn as close to hip joint as possible which will minimize such movement. A hip/belt holster is best as placed in green circle, or at least as high on leg near hip as possible in blue circle, and not or rarely worn in red circle under docile circumstances of no action and simply walking around base, station, detail, etc. Esp if it's an all metal full size gun like 1911, be flopping like a fish. Easier managed with weight of a polymer gun, but many guys, not really needing to, would wear one to look "cool" with their gear. So if gonna wear one, try to get it worn as high as possible clear of belted gear not impeding your draw and anchored with needing only 1 strap around your leg/thigh. It'll likely bunch up your crotch, but you'll figure it out. Or even wear/holster one on plate carrier or combat vest. It's funny how many misunderstood tactics and wearables are out there, esp one of my fav seeing people send some shots at paper target down range, then look side to side half ass, simply going thru the motion. But that and those are of another time/topic. A better image could've been used, but this is the low budget movie that sparked this. Anyone gonna correct me, or have better explanation/reasoning? For someone who intends to walk vigorously (hunting boars), which model of holster should that person look to? I want my 4" backup revolver to bounce as little as possible. Is the chest holster the best option?
@@Neomalthusiano its a great option, as long as you can quickly reach to it without issue, perfectly viable option to use. just be sure to practice drawing it in the case you have a rapid draw situation, esp if it has retention locks.

David Coelho esse tipo de coldre não é o ideal fica demasiado em baixo, e quando começares vai andar a “dançar” na perna a não ser que apertes muito as fitas e isso também não é bom

How you guys drop the gbbs mags on the floor abd don't simply crack em' up? Even the maglips survived?
The floor had a piece of cardboard to protect the mags we are not crazy but if need to do it in game we will drop them on the floor
