Okay I have to admit something. Sometimes I don't even watch the whole video before I hit the like button. A lot of times I get half way through and Rob says something that helps me make a connection in my brain and I'm like RAM comics you've done it again. Thanks for all you do Rob.
The way you drew that torso made something click in my mind, this was exactly what I needed. Could you also show us how to do the female torso that same way?.... Thank you for not skipping "drawing the torso" part, a lot of creators would've skipped to a completed torso and just showed the shading
I’ve always appreciated Robert’s teaching style. He’s never afraid to show what doesn’t work along with what does. It’s good to see that good pieces go through ebbs and flows on the way to the finish line. Thanks!
When I first started drawing, I looked at people like Jim Lee, Marc Silvestri, Arthur Adams, Michael Turner, Dave Finch and the list goes on. I'm obviously partial to the 80s-90s style. Currently Brett Booth is just amazing me with how good he's gotten. Inks, I think Scott Williams is fantastic. Thanks for taking your time to show and explain everything in the video.
Rob heres some feedback i think youd like to hear. The videos of yours which have been the most beneficial to me are the ones where you draw multiple examples of various angles of whatever the topic is. Like the video of you teaching loomis method, another one would be that video you did of leg poses and anatomy.
This may have helped revitalize my like/love for drawing. I've been at a wall for about a Month and Very frustrated!! Seeing this may have hopefully opened the door back up for me. Sooo good!!
Love this guy, so humble and down to earth. Rob and David Finch are such Genuinely Good humble people. I wish Both ridiculous amounts of Wealth, Success and acknowledgment.
Please understand that what you are showing everyone here is extremely valuable education. Never apologize or feel like you are taking too long to get to the point. It is all the point and there is no such thing as too long when you're teaching in such a way that anyone can understand! This is by far one of the best explanation and illustration of the male human torso 😎👍
Yeah I agree with Toxic Melody, I’ve tried quite a few times to understand the hatch/cross-hatch technique but you explain it very well & the length of the video really helps with slowing down everything for understanding! Thanks again, I had just come across your videos & I immediately subscribed!!
Loved this tutorial and I'm trying to apply it to my studies. I just have one question: is there anyway for us to show you the results? I would like to have some critique or advices :D
Hey interested in taking your courses on Udemy, is it a go at your own pace course or is it timed? I really want to get better at it but my schedule is hectic due to working in the field for 14.5 hrs a day. Thank you for your content!

I was wondering what makes a comic look like a comic instead of just looking like a regular digital painting?
Does the bean technique also work for drawing the male torso?

does anyone else notice how almost every artist, who physically draws on a tutorial, uses their left hand only?
