My Jeep buddy finally removed his angry grill this year and I played it down like “You can’t beat the factory look”. In my head I was doing celebratory backflips and thanking the Jeep Gods!!
I second that wish ing videos were 20-60 min long!! I am cancelling my motor trend àpp can't believe the dumb shows on there and to take away dirt er day is why I will cancel subscription. I think we need to pumble Fred and Dave with messages until we get more longer videos 😀
The only aftermarket grill I like is the JK Gladiator conversion kit. Looks like an old Gladiator. Thanks for continuing to do these, Fred! Gonna miss DED..

I'm a big Jeep guy and none of my friends are. They all (myself included) mock the angry eye Jeep grilles RELENTLESSLY because they're just so darn silly. To each their own, but I will judge you lol
One great thing about a Jeep is being able to personalize the way the owner wants it. Do I like the aftermarket grilles, not really, but I don't mind if someone else likes them on theirs.
I feel like the angry bird grills kick-started the Tacti-Cool styling that's morphed into making rigs look like they came out of a transformers movie clashing with a call of duty game scene.
Glad you started your own TH-cam show, been watching dirt everyday since the beginning. It inspired me to start building a project of my own. Solid axle swapping my 89 gmc. Just don’t have time for it right now, I haven’t touched it since 2017

Its not a hard process. It would be annoying if he made this 90second instruction into a 20 minute video. He made this one 4.5 minutes and talked for 3 minutes of it
Funniest grill removal (and the fastest) I've seen was at Pismo. Big lifted 2x4 street truck on big 24"+ wide "offroad" rubber bands. Dude gets out, straps the truck up himself, and yells at his home-slice to gun it. Wack!, and the grill landed in the bed of the puller. HiF*kinlarious.
I love the three minute rant about how much you hate aftermarket grills. I feel your pain, i hate angry bird grills too. The only aftermarket grill i would put on is the doetsch grill, it looks like the old gladiator style (m715). The gladiator should have come stock with that grill.
Big fan of your work and loved your TV show. Wish your videos were a little longer with more things accomplished, maybe 15-20 minutes. Regardless you have my support and keep it up!
Just bought my wife a 2020 4d Shahara and the 1st thing i put on was a new bumper/grille. She wants a batman looking vehicle. I agree though, to each their own when it comes to looks
on our newish JK I threw on my old Angry Byrd grill simple because it has the mesh molded into the openings, after the new grill inserts come for the OEM grill I swap them back, wonder if theirs a poll some where on who like which grill better ? glad the new JL has the mest already
Hey Fred, can you believe it, plastic held on with plastic! Just out of general purpose, I would put metal self-tapping screws where the top plastic fasteners are!!! Let's get some real metal back into this Jeep!!! Thanks for listening!

I am that way on Chevy truck grills. Stock ones look the best. Some year models better than others but stock all the way on grills. Bumpers you can change. 🤣
Totally agree about the "Angry Birds" grills, but hey, it's not my stuff... Meh. Fred, did you change a Mic or something? Your audio levels seemed to have dipped the last few videos, like the general audio level is kinda on the low side... I'd get it if you were outside or something, I dunno
My neighbor has a pretty rad Bikini Blue Rubicon that they built up for mall crawling with one of those angry eyes grills. Makes me want to puke every time I see it. Makes you wish there was something like human services you could call to report the abuse of a vehicle. I'd call vehicle services on those people.
When it comes to people modifying their vehicles purely for looks, the best examples are lowriders. those guys know that their Impala or vehicle of their choice is not going to be faster or more powerful or able to pull a tree stump out just because they put fancy rims and a lowered suspension and pinstriping on it. The worst are the off-fauxed people who put giant rims and non-existent tires on badly lifted vehicles that smoke more heavily than their grandma and think that they do anything other than make them less capable than stock on both pavement and off-road.
I agree somewhat. I will say that some of these big wheel guys are starting to go fast. 8 second quarter mile with a 26 inch rim is pretty impressive when you think about all the reasons those boats with zero sidewall shouldn't go that fast.
@@picklefart I would liken it to being proud of a 40 meter dash time, while wearing Crocs with the strap in the forward position. To me it's just another example of why it should be harder for people to borrow money.

Angry grills are the best! Somebody put one on the jeep and now I have a garage art! It’s a win-win for me.
