Hey, Todd. You're right, just a perfect rainy day to hang out in the garage and clean old stereo components. I hung in there to see whether any of the media players would actually work, and sonofagun! The cassette player worked! Speakers sounded good, too, at least through the recorder's microphone. I had to laugh about the q-tip looking like you cleaned a coal miner's ear - too bad they didn't have a little Loretta Lynn tour bus instead of Tammy Wynette. With luck and patience, you'll be listening to vinyl and CD's eventually.
You were paying attention!, and the connection of coal miner comment comment was great. Would have been PERFECT if it had been Loretta Lynn tour bus! I'll keep working on it and giving updates. Thank you so much Ms for your support, your comments are always so very thoughtful.
I had CCR albums. One of my favorites is Lodi. Still listen to them on 70s channel Sirius XM. Great job on cleaning it all up. Simple Green is good stuff.
Keep it simple, right...I learned something from you about making YT videos Calvin, and that is don't try to be like an actor, play a role, just be yourself. That is always best. It's why we love your channel, and why I have followed your example.
Good evening, Todd. Hope that weather that came in wasn’t too severe. Speakers sounded really good. I’m wondering if there is a loose CD in the CD player that is out of place and blocking it from opening? I’m sure you will figure it out. As far as the turntable goes do you know if it is getting power? Wondering if one of the cords could be bad? Could be anything amigo. Q-tips fix everything! I hope you had a very good day, my friend. 19:14
On the turntable, the display does light up. Every turntable I have dealt with started spinning when the stylus was pulled off cradle and moved over to album. Not sure what's up. I'll by toying with it............
Sounds great my friend, very nice stereo 😃👍🏻
Looks good once you got it cleaned up Todd!!! Nice stereo. Have a wonderful day my friend!!!😊
