I am happy with it, for now. the thing is .......does it work? Will everything fire up and work correctly after I clean it up and connect it" We'll see, I am concerned about it...time will tell.....
Very nice Todd!!! I remember the 8 tracks and vinyl records. That is definitely a great find. Have a wonderful evening and happy holidays my friend!!!😊
Hello Todd. Congratulations! I had a similar system when I was in my 20s. Very nice cabinet with all the components and speakers. I honestly don’t remember what happened to it. I’m sure when I was moving I sold it at some point. I actually may have given it away now that I think about it in 2001 when I just kept a few of my items and loaded up my Chevy Beretta and moved to Texas for the first time. I do remember that I gave four crates of vinyl albums to my mailman for free just because I knew he would take good care of them. He was thrilled.Best of luck with it friend.
Vinyl will always be the best, and people have realized it, hence the outrageous prices of the old systems. I don't get why Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood, etc. don't start up production again. They are very much in demand. I hope your recovery is going well Dennis, I look forward to your updates my friend.
Hey, Todd. Nice find! Have fun dusting, sneezing, and crawling around on the floor with cables hung all over you. I remember hooking up all those stereo components. I liked Pioneer, too, but it was their headphones I bought. In price point they were closer to Panasonic and Sony, but the sound quality was much better. I tended to do most of my listening late at night with my Mom just down the hall, hence the importance of good headphones over good speakers. I like your little Tammy tour bus Christmas treat! For my birthday in November I knocked myself out at some good online sales: audiobooks and Isotoner slippers. So my Christmas treat was modest: two big crunchy apples (CARB RIOT!!!) from Sprouts Market, while I was there buying eggs and tea.
Thank you MsLeenite, for watching and for very engaging commentary. I had some interesting tea today, made from youpon leaves. It will be included in an upcoming video about 1800's Texas.
I like D-I-V-O-R-C-E, I think it's a great song. It's sad, but it makes you think, and 'feel'. It's on my Alexa favorites playlist that I listen to most nights. I have hundreds of songs on that playlist, but it comes up periodically. I first heard it at my friends house when was listening to it on his mom's 45rpm. I also have "Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad" on my playlist. Now that you mention it Dennis I am going to add "Stand by your Man" to my playlist. great song!
Good find Todd and good vid. Party on Garth!!!!!!😄
That was a great find! It will be fun setting it up too.👍✌️
Yes, big fun figuring out where to plug all those wires in! What was your maiden stereo Calvin?
That's a very nice gift you bought yourself. Good job

Thank you for coming in AA. Vinyl will always rule!
You didn't do a bad job on your video. Nice finds. Now to listen to some tunes.😊
Thank you, I actually "shot" it four times. Sometimes I just get tongue tied, or prattle on, or say stupid things....lol. Start over....
@ToddSaw I have lots of out takes. My tongue has a mind of its own.
