I’m glad you threw in there “if you can afford it”! Both my TCs are paid for and I just can’t justify taking on a new vehicle payment. As for technology, I came to the realization that technology is expensive and has a limited shelf life. It’s a lot more cost effective to upgrade my smart phone, that does all the things that infotainment system can do, and I can use it in my other vehicles. Just my 2 cents worth!
2017 Street glide Special is as new as I need. All the rest are twin cams and evos. Just picked up a 2005 Dyna Low rider. Love the Twincam engines. But I am happy with my M8 as well.
Love my twin cam 88 roadking!! Wish I could afford the new road glide but have a family to provide for . So I'll keep riding it until I can get a newer bike, but I love the smiles and ride of a paid off bike.
I'm still riding my 2003 FLH standard. Upgraded the engine of course put a thunderheader on it mikuni carb port and polished heads bigger valves woods cams suspension upgrade Pm breaks a baker 6-speed saddleman seat and then I went all out and bought some carbon fiber BST rims for it. Wow! It is so fun to ride now . Still only has 14,000 mi on it. I drove it down to the Harley shop last summer and test drove a new road glide but really wasn't that impressed if you could believe it. I have just as much fun on my tc.
I will not be upgrading to a 2024 but went from an 05 Ultra to a 21 ultra and what a difference. I agree that if you have a pre Rushmore bike and you can afford to upgrade you should
I have a 2019 Fatboy and recently got a 2016 StreetGlide. I love the M8 on the Fatty, however my 2016 Street only has 9k and is mint. She also has the good stereo and some nice up grades. Imma hold off til’ 2026.
I agree, if you own a TC, the change to an M8 is mind blowing. Never believed it until I got my M8. The interesting question is, and you navigated skillfully around it, do you go for a reduced 23 or new 24 (which has a lower base MSRP than the 23). Or do you take advantage of people trading in their =
Just got a 23 cvo street glide and really am enjoying it. Went from tc 110 that had stage 3 so it had good power but the m8 is different. I also decided too go up to cvo to get extras that come on it plus got it used real good deal. So I agree get a new one but I do miss my old one wish I could have kept it but I'm not rich enough to have both lol.
Ordered the 23 Street Glide CVO in Whiskey Neat and got it deliverd December. Still have my 13 Anniversary Ultra Limited TC, but the difference is night and day. Love the TC, but the 121 M8 and upgrades are so worth it. However, cost to upgrade is high, so keep that in mind. For me with tour pack, passenger floorboards, maintenance plan and warranty it was close to 60K.
I bought a cvo road glide limited in 22 and im seriously thinking about trading in for a 24 street glide. I do like the new look and all the technology. Just not sure if I want a 1st year change over. Probably wait a year and see how they hold up
I looked at the new street glide and was surprised to see that they're actually cheaper then the 23s, the rough work up a dealer gave me was like 28 ish out the door. Now that's with everything perfect but really not horribly priced
A week b4 Christmas i bought a 2019 indian chieftain for 19k otd. I just spent $2600 getting it painted gloss white. This is my 1st bagger, im 30 years old. I kind of regret not waiting for the new hd's but regardless i still think the thunderstroke looks better.
I bought a SG in 2022. Riding the 2024s was interesting; the extra power and handling were good but the all-digital panel didn't impress me that much. I only have two bikes (OK, a bike and a trike) in my garage as opposed to the 6 that I had at one point; at this point for me 2 is enough and I have no urge to buy a 2024.
I’ve got about 42000 miles on my 2021 Road Glide Limited that I bought new in April of ‘21. I’ve gotten prepaid maintenance on it since I bought it. I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth out of it, getting maintenance done every 2500 miles, including the big ones. If I wasn’t putting on that many miles, they wouldn’t be worth it, but it’s worked out well for me.
My 08 Street Glide got totaled in October. Went to my local dealer to look at good slightly used bikes. In November I purchased a 23 Street Bob in Industrial Yellow. I live in Wisconsin so havent been able to ride it yet.
There’s one thing that someone brought up that I am curious about and that’s the one thing that I’m nervous about getting a new Harley. Is that infotainment center. I wish someone would do a demonstration of what happens to the bike if that thing craps out on you, and it’s going to happen sooner or later. But I want to know what kind of situation I would be in if that happened.
Just an added note about the service plans. Pending on the dealer, you can go have them do the services whenever. Put mine in for the 10,000-mile service at about 7,000 miles right before the plan expired.
Just because you asked, I'm rocking a 2003 Low Rider. Bought it used, and sought out a 100th anniversary with the silver and black paint job. I have been wanting a 100th in silver and black since I first saw one in person in 2004. Is the tech stuff cool, yeah, but paid for is the best part to me. Will a buy a newer bike one day, I'm sure I will. Eventually I have to buy another one for my oldest daughter who LOVES riding as much as I do.
I have a 06 street glide. Only reason I want a new is for the 6 speed and cruise control and getting hard to get parts. I’ve been checking out the 24 but haven’t rode one yet.
My H-D prepaid maintenance is: six services (every 5,000 miles) plus six oil changes (every 2,500 mi) between services up to three years. Additionally, there are a bunch of other things like one dyno, one hr free labor, T-shirt, etc. I saved 50% of what it would’ve cost on my 2020 RGL so I bought another one for the next three years. Also, it’s transferable to the next new bike I buy from my dealership.
I have a 2012 Ultra Limited. Bought it “on accident” 😂 Long story short, I’m looking to up grade but I’m going to wait another year or so to pull the trigger. 1. I want the bugs worked out or at least a solution for them on these new bikes. 2. I’m waiting for the Ultra Limiteds to get the face lift. Heard from a reliable source that it’s happening. 🎉🎉🎉
Eventually, Advanblack will make a body kit for a 2024+ and then you will have one. For me, I don’t think I would consider it for a few years until the issues are worked out. The big screen is pretty fancy though. Thanks for the content.
I love my ol 02 sportster n she’ll NEVER leave me for the $2,000 i stole it for but i AM gunna get my ol heads 02 road king with work n it paint matches his 69’ GTO JUDGE that’s the 13th one EVER MADE🤤🤙🏼 one day ill have a newer bike… jus old fashioned at heart but dont have that shovel/pan/flat head money lolol
After putting 3000 into the suspension on my 2014 Street Glide. It rides as good if not better than a new street glide. Yeah the screen is nice but i like the look of the gauges yet. And yeah the power is better than my 103. But i am happy with my Twinkie. Plus she only has 16k miles. Still plenty of riding left.
I love the one I got, don't really need another as it does everything that I need it to. If I was to get a new one, probably be the Heritage Classic in Alpine Green.
I looked at the '24 Street Glide and it looks like it'll be a pain to change the bars, but the '24 Road Glide the bolts are just right there, like on a Road King so changing bars would be a dream.
Hello sir nice video. I think wait a bit and you might get a better deal for those who are going to buy one. The dealers are going to have to eat the 2023s because most people are going to want a 2024 so they will inflate the pricing on the new ones. When the 2023s are gone things should be somewhat normal.
Don’t know about 35k , I saw one the other day at our local dealer , $25,800. Not sure about all the add ons but the base price is $3-5k less than the 23s. I’m not sure how they’ll sell any of them .
Hey brother. Just picked up a 2024 Roadglide. Prices are not that bad year. In fact Harley cut prices. As you said I got the warranty and wheel and tire yards yada. 28 out the door. Not bad. FYI , the software is still kinda glitchy but overall a nice ride.
Traded my 16’ RK Twinkle loved it BTW for 23’ RG last June, love both. I liked the way my Twinkle rode and sounded. Yes, new infotainment on the 23’ RG is sweet and sounds sweet after pipes of course. 🤙
I have a 2008 Road Glide and a 2014 Street Bob. I'm considering selling them both to help offset the cost of a 2024 Street Glide (base) or a 2023 Road Glide Fast Johnnie.
Water pump on the new 117 is behind the timing cover and hit the rear head first it does make a difference with the heat. The suspension and the seat is much better than the 23 touring models
Question concerning the 2024 M8, Have you any first hand knowledge from your resources regarding what HD has done to improve the issues with crankcase pressure and blow by? Any information you give us would be appreciated
I think you being a TH-camr should definitely trade in a bike for the 2024 and do some changes to your liking and get the views and the attention. We've seen you customize everything under 2024 refresh models and that's great! Love the content. But should capitalize on this time of new streetglide or roadglide and show us what you'd do! Have a great day bye 👋
Always enjoy your videos. It is time for me. I sold my Street Bob a few months ago and that money is going to the down payment on a brand new Street Glide (Special). I'm just recuperating from a surgery a couple of weeks ago but once I'm fully on my feet I will be making that purchase. Super excited. And I'm glad I watched this video because I did not know that they changed the storage compartment on the 2024 Street Glides. I was looking at some 2023's that were still in stock. Now I will take a close look at the 2024's.
@@paineys3341 Yeah I was only looking at the 23's. But I spent some time today looking at the 24's and they're very nice. Especially the price. A nice savings over the 23's.
According to HD the New 117 is a revamped from the previous and is producing just a little more HP and Torque plus the new liquid cooled heads and how they redid that starting with 2023.5 CVO's.
Yup. I'm bike poor. Traded my 16 RG Special for a 17 Heritage, then traded that for New 22 Triglide ultra for the wife. Then bought a a 22 Road King Classic for myself.Only kept I 1 yr then just traded it in for a new 23 RG3 trike.
Don't mind admitting the 24s have caught my attention. Maybe it's time to sell at least one of mine and have a new one. I dunno. I'll be watching what you do though.....Hopefully you ride one and give us your honest take on it.
Having the same debate with myself… current bike is a 2014 Street Glide Special (Blackened Cayenne) 103 with a Stage 3. Bought it used a couple yrs ago from a guy that seemed afraid to ride it (only has 17000 miles on it today and nearly 10k of those are under my butt). Anyway, spent the last couple yrs doin all LED lighting upgrades (a mix of CD and Ciro), sequential blinkers, razor tour pack, etc… got it looking just the way I way I want and I hate to part with with my efforts… but dang those new bikes look good!! Not a fan tho of the basic colors of the new stuff… I miss the older colors of Blackened Cayenne, Mysterious Red Sunglo, Billiard Blue and so on… the new stuff is just kinda plain. Ah well… like most of yall, could go on n on like this. As always, appreciate ur perspective Monkey!! Ride easy man 🤙🏼
I am that guy. I only have 1 bike, 07 RKC. I don't see myself trading it in because I am slowly make it a bagger bro show/ bar hopper. However, I am looking at that 2024 street glide for touring and rallies.
Dude, I love all the new bikes. Wish I could afford it my financial decisions right now or I’m going to keep my old 05 bagger the king that’s all I can afford right now but later on in life, I do want some new tech in the try the new technology, new motors, I’m tired of roasting my nuts that back cylinder head. That’s why I call it the nut roaster lol.
I have a 2003 Heritage Softtail Classic 100th Anniversary Edition with only 18,000 miles. I would trade it in but my oldest son has claimed it lol. I'm pushing 70 years old and liking into a new trike.
I don’t remember the year of “The Old Man’s” Tri Glide, but would you maintain the same criteria for us Tri Glide owners? We have a ‘23 stepped up considerably from stock, so we’re not in the market. However, what about those with a 2016-2019/20 Tri Glide? We love the green/black color for ‘24. Thanks for the great videos!
BIG G'day Mr Monkey family from Down Under 🇦🇺🖤🧡🖤 I'm happy with what I got with my "17 FXDB Dyna but the pricing on any NEW HD have priced me out of the game especially with the Aussie HD Tax added😭😭😭 May all your days be Harley days Safe travels 🙏♥️🐾🐾🇦🇺🖤🧡🖤
Watching a year old episode with your Crossbones...Do you still have that tractor seat set up you planned on changing out? I may be interested if so. Video is a year old, seat set up probably long gone. Just a longshot question. Peace.
CVO ST with that suspension all the way bro. I wish they would do a CVO with no radio/ gps. Lighten that best up. Haha I Bluetooth to my helmet and never use mine on my 22 st.
My new 2023 Road Glide was delivered to me on 12-23-23, what a Christmas gift. 😁 kind of wish I’d have waited for the 24’s, not that I’m disappointed with my 23, I can’t wait to ride it.
What people don't understand that new infotainment system controls everything, ecm,bcm ect. If it goes bad its trailer time. Never buy something 1st year. I quit with EVO'S but really like your channel, been here since day 1.
just added the carpuride to my indian (that doesnt have infotainment) its my tour bike. so i have a Garmin zumo and the carpuride as a backup and spotify controller.
would like to hear your take on the stability recall on the new ones. Fix was ecu updating and front ballast i believe? did they detune? why wasnt this caught prelaunch?
It would be nice but NOT in the financial cards for me that is WHY Iam currently getting arm deep into a 2003 Road King she will be a 95ci with the fueling 525 cam chest kit.
I love the look of the 2024s and all the bang for your buck features the bike has, but the Infotainment system terrifies me. If that thing takes a dump on you, you literally can't see speed, RPM, Fuel, any diagnostics and I can't imagine what the cost would be to replace it if the bike is out of warranty. I would have liked to spend more time looking at the bike, but the sales guy was up my butt and even followed me to the clothing area of the dealership until I decided to leave with nothing.
The correct number of bikes is N+1 where N equals the current number of bikes you have.
I like that degrees of freedom calculation 😂
Excellent equation!
😂😂 I like that!
Sounds like I need #2
I’m glad you threw in there “if you can afford it”! Both my TCs are paid for and I just can’t justify taking on a new vehicle payment.

2017 Street glide Special is as new as I need. All the rest are twin cams and evos. Just picked up a 2005 Dyna Low rider. Love the Twincam engines. But I am happy with my M8 as well.
I have my dream bike. 2020 Roadglide special patriot edition. I’m keeping it forever. This doesn’t mean i won’t get more. But this one is beautiful.
Best thing about my old twin cam it's paid for 😁
2010 Electra glide, have owned it for 4 years first Harley and love it! Going to be a few more years before I jump into the M8 category
The tour layout on the screen and the drawer are nice!
Best advice is don't ride something better than what you have unless you're ready to buy it. Newbikeitis only has one cure. And it ain't cheap.
I just bought a 23 street glide on the 10th Feb was super smooth ride upgraded from an 08 EGS
I traded my 19 RK for a 24 RG about a week ago and love it! New suspension feels great!
I haven’t priced the SG with any extras or taxes. But I did get a good price on SG out the door… my 16 is probably going up for sale pretty soon.
I had a feeling 👍🏻
You did get invited and attend the Drag show. 😎👍. We cannot do much for the 24’s yet but we are going to have the inner fairings very soon!! 😊
I was surprised how cheap the matte inner fairings look compared to the rest of the bikes!
I got a 14 street glide special upgraded rockford Fosgate sound system and stage 2 and still love it
Spot on and great advice. Harley loaded up the RG & SG with all the options and underpriced it at $25K.
I have a 2019 Fatboy and recently got a 2016 StreetGlide. I love the M8 on the Fatty, however my 2016 Street only has 9k and is mint. She also has the good stereo and some nice up grades. Imma hold off til’ 2026.

I have a couple of 02 FXDWG twinkies. Because they are 02, I can't bring myself to get rid of them.
Old one ain't worn out yet. Would love a 61 model in my garage though ❤😂
Love my 2016 Street Glide Special
Not done fixing all the factory screw ups on my 2018. I'll get it bullet proof, then a friend will buy it. Always happens.
Just an added note about the service plans. Pending on the dealer, you can go have them do the services whenever. Put mine in for the 10,000-mile service at about 7,000 miles right before the plan expired.

I'll probably buy one and add to the stable...can't seem to sell any of mine....1999, 2007, 2014, 2021....yes I have a problem......
😂😂😂 No you don't
I don’t see the problem. All I see is that you have choices when you want to go for a ride.
I have a 06 street glide. Only reason I want a new is for the 6 speed and cruise control and getting hard to get parts. I’ve been checking out the 24 but haven’t rode one yet.

You are hilarious... I only need one. But it is fun watching you work on a garage full of bikes :-)
Lol I want a twinkie or sportster or both lol.
I have a 2012 Ultra Limited. Bought it “on accident” 😂
Long story short, I’m looking to up grade but I’m going to wait another year or so to pull the trigger.
1. I want the bugs worked out or at least a solution for them on these new bikes.
2. I’m waiting for the Ultra Limiteds to get the face lift.
Heard from a reliable source that it’s happening.
🎉🎉🎉
Yes and the limiteds may come with 117 VVT
Eventually, Advanblack will make a body kit for a 2024+ and then you will have one. For me, I don’t think I would consider it for a few years until the issues are worked out. The big screen is pretty fancy though. Thanks for the content.
Maybe ready for another but not a new.. I'm all evo or older... maybe an 02 or earlier twinkie if it's carbed
I just upgraded from a 1995 ElectraGlide to a 2022 RoadGlide and I haven’t stopped smiling. (Not selling the old one but damn the new one is smooth) 😂
Love the later evo touring bikes!
I love the one I got, don't really need another as it does everything that I need it to. If I was to get a new one, probably be the Heritage Classic in Alpine Green.
I have a 2004 RK that’s my first bike and would love to buy a new bike. Just not time yet! 😢
Yes, I should. Currently only have 1 Harley and it’s an ‘06 Deuce. Probably buy a Road or Street Glide in the next year or so.

Great color!
I love my Evo, but if I had room and money. I'd add a new street glide. I really like the new fairing.
I just see the new hydro glide love the old school look
Ride easy man 🤙🏼
I'd wait another year. My 2 cents.
I am that guy. I only have 1 bike, 07 RKC. I don't see myself trading it in because I am slowly make it a bagger bro show/ bar hopper. However, I am looking at that 2024 street glide for touring and rallies.
I ride an 09 Electra glide. I’d love to upgrade but can’t right now
lol I want out of my 23 rgst!! and in to the cvo st I got 400 miles on mine
Well I’m sure it can be done, just about what it’s worth to you!
I traded in my streetglide for a 2024 roadglide and love it
Dude, I love all the new bikes.
The 2024 CVO is very nice! Only in Whiskey Neat.
Whiskey neat was 23 paint Whiskey Fire is the 24 color..
BIG G'day Mr Monkey family from Down Under 🇦🇺🖤🧡🖤
I'm happy with what I got with my "17 FXDB Dyna but the pricing on any NEW HD have priced me out of the game especially with the Aussie HD Tax added😭😭😭
May all your days be Harley days
Safe travels 🙏♥️🐾🐾🇦🇺🖤🧡🖤
I have a 2006 88 twin cam road king and I'm looking at getting a 24 road glide or street glide if I can make the money work.
The money is always the problem, right?
@@ProfessionalMonkey yes it is.
Watching a year old episode with your Crossbones...Do you still have that tractor seat set up you planned on changing out? I may be interested if so. Video is a year old, seat set up probably long gone. Just a longshot question. Peace.
I thought the new 117 also got the new throttle body and aluminum manifold. I really like the headlight area of the new Street Glide.
Your 23 is golden. You have the newest motor basically and the same frame so nothing to worry about!
The 2024, good lord they need to improve on paint option colors, BRING BACK THE CANDY COLORS!!!!!!
Wait till you see the 2025. Yuppy
On the floor in tn 26k for a street glide. 47k for the cvo
I’ve had friends ask me why I have two bikes. I always answer because I can’t afford seven of them. So yes, it’s always a good time to buy a new HD.
I agree Monkey the new Street Glide is a great looking bike. I love the look of the batwing.😎
What people don't understand that new infotainment system controls everything, ecm,bcm ect. If it goes bad its trailer time. Never buy something 1st year. I quit with EVO'S but really like your channel, been here since day 1.
Already got mine !!!
just added the carpuride to my indian (that doesnt have infotainment) its my tour bike. so i have a Garmin zumo and the carpuride as a backup and spotify controller.
would like to hear your take on the stability recall on the new ones. Fix was ecu updating and front ballast i believe? did they detune? why wasnt this caught prelaunch?
I hadn’t heard that one yet.
Completely agree.
It would be nice but NOT in the financial cards for me that is WHY Iam currently getting arm deep into a 2003 Road King she will be a 95ci with the fueling 525 cam chest kit.
Dude! HD Corporate dropped the ball by not inviting you to the Vegas trip 😤
I have a 2010 ultra... I will be upgrading to a 2024 sometime around 2035 or so... :)
I m still crushing miles on my 95 Ultra. I will upgrade eventually, maybe after vvt becomes standard
The money not working for me right now. I'll be sticking with my 2103 RGU. Slowly making upgrades. Planning a cam upgrade soon. Maybe down the road.
Wait before you buy!
Rumors are stirring that there is/are recalls on the new 2024 H-Ds.
