Hey man how do you like that black rose rod from the kayak? I’m really thinking about getting one for frogs and swimbaits. Is it a pretty lightweight setup? I can’t find much info on it.
The Black Rose is the best rod for both frogging and Swimbaits in my opinion. That’s what I mainly throw on it. Frog and Punch in the summer. And then Swimbaits during the fall and winter. It throws up to 3oz. It’s pretty light for a Heavy+ rod. I’ve had some heavy rods before and I’ll have to say, The Black Rose is pretty light. I can throw it all day long. You won’t regret it if you get one. I also have The Moongazer and I love that rod too. I have it paired with the Steez Limited. That rod combo stays in my hand most of the time.
