@@TfGamess I wouldn't say this is robbing, Tesla is selling the vehicle, it's not some kinda rental or lease. The first sale doctrine allows the owner to modify their owned property as they wish. The one complication is whether this applies to the software part of the equation, since that could be based on a "software licensing" business model, unlike the rest of the car, and that puts this whole thing in a gray area, I'm not sure where one would draw the line there. Tesla should be in the right when it comes to warranty or lease terms, folks who modify their vehicles should accept forfeiting warranty coverage or getting their leases adjusted accordingly. Tesla could also exercise their software licensing terms against features that are supposed to be behind a paywall and getting bypassed, as that may kinda fall under software piracy. I think that would be a fair middle ground, but maybe Tesla's trying to be lenient on these kinda issues for PR reasons, opting instead (for now) to just play whack-a-mole with disabling some of these hacks whenever they perform their software updates.

0-60 in 0.5 sec
Lmao
I heard they lock your super charging is this true?
Yup
Nope.
I’ve supercharged with this module installed probably once a month or so since we did this video - no problems.
Will this work on 2020 M3 SE+?
no must have 980 motor for 150hp these are only in 2018-2019 dual motor m3 BUT u can instead do the 50hp increase
Wish we had an update with all cons! I’m still skeptical.
I’m going back and updating comments on this. I have no cons after 15k miles. And now the Ghost module is plug and play - no laptop steps needed.
@@joetripp123 Have you had any issues using Tesla Superchargers? I read somewhere Tesla won't allow "salvaged" Tesla's to use their machines.
@@kilacorpsmofo I’ve had no problems Supercharging. This performance module has nothing to do with Teslas marked as Salvaged. Also if a car is marked as salvaged this module won’t change that and allow it to Supercharge.
Do they work with the 2022 Model 3s?
Does it work on Tesla model 3 rear wheel drive?
… no
Tesla will figure a way to stop other performance company down loads. Great post loaded with good information. I just have to ask what’s up with the non- Tesla mask?
Been years. Still nothing quit being a downer 😂
I don’t think so
I didn’t have one available
Does chill mode still work and what will happen if you get the acceleration boost package for the long range versions with the ghost module
Chill mode still works just fine. Buying the 50 hp boost from Tesla wouldn’t do anything. Well it would but you wouldn’t notice it unless you removed the 150hp Ghost module and compared it to stock.
When you order your ghost module you select if you have already the Tesla boost
do you get better range when you keep your mask when driving
This voids the warranty right?
S
Mr.beat?
How much? $
The link is in the description. $2,395 for the Ghost upgrade, $1,100 for the Boost 50, and $450 for the Bonus. Use code 'OutOfSpec' for a 10% discount.
Hi All Any chance to have this on Dual-Motor-Performance 2020 ??
Can your dongle or module can boost my teslaP3D inverters by adding 50 or 80hp OR more ??
I'll pay $$$ dollars for that module, that I can easy take it off and easy and fast plug it in at any time ??
OR even better can you add to your module some kind of switch that way I can power off or power on on demand and that switch will be locate somewhere around my steering wheel will be awesome to have that magic switch or button I would call that E-NOS on demand
Men, I was asking Elon for about 6 months now on tweeter to push more power to P3D 2020 for couple $K or ludicrous mode or launch mode or push 30 or 40 more H.P and guess what Nothing from him at all 0 !! Of course ppl will look for 3rd party options..
Also we have to keep in mind that all other tesla model 3 performance competitors are getting faster and faster and stronger.
It should work
@@sportsworldrecap4442 no it won’t work it only works for the 2018 Tesla model 3 long range don’t get it twisted. The 2018 Tesla model 3 long range is the fastest model 3
It will not work on the performance models
This only unlocks the AWD to the same as a Performance. It won’t do anything for a Performance 3.
This still work?
Just installed mine today
@@IReahpZz ordered what I thought was a 2018 model 3 Performance from Carvana but they actually sent me a long range dual motor. They honestly don't even know the difference. I confirmed the 980 motors by snapping a photo like they show on the Ingenix website. I really wanna become a Ghost rider. Let's say you have to remove the module for a Tesla appointment. Does it immediately go back to stock? Then do you need Ingenix to do their reflash of the 980 motor to unlock the magic again or can you just install the module and it automatically picks back up in Ghost mode?
@@enterconnection no it doesn't you need to have the car reflashed to stock. I wouldn't worry I've had several appointments with the flash on no issues. 100% worth it in every way car is an animal. No issues 60k miles in.
If you are concerned you can unplug the module in just a few minutes. The car goes back to stock. Then plug it back in after and it goes back to Ghost performance. No re flash is needed.
So I purchased my model 3 with acceleration boost...I assume ghost module won't be affected by this?
I think u can get the ghost module for cheaper if u already have the acceleration boost. I’m not sure however
Nope they'll ask in advance. Nothing different though and same price
The performance boost from Tesla adds 50hp, same as Ingenext Boost module. This adds 150hp. It’s a huge difference. You can also add this to a 3 that has purchased the 50hp boost from Tesla. It won’t make it any faster than one that hasn’t bought that 50hp boost though.
Have you had any issues with the ghost upgrade?
No issues so far. I still love it.
Does Tesla allow this?
No. Tesla is trying to fight these people. This isn't legal and Tesla can see all these cars with third-party hacking devices.
Here's my comment I wrote: "This is not cool. You are supposed to buy that from Tesla, not from third-party. This is basically paying a robber, for these modules.
@@TfGamess thanks for the response
@@AllanSustainabilityFan Thanks for a well thought out reply. In the 2.5 years these have been available Tesla has not once disabled them. They did detect them last year but the car still worked the same. There was a notice on the screen saying 'incompatible module detected'. Ingenext sent an update out within a week.
As for warranty Tesla has told me that they would have to prove a modification was the cause of any damage. This goes for aftermarket trailer hitches, power lift gates, body and suspension changes, or things like this.
I"ve watched this video and I'm a bit confused. I didn't see anywhere you removed the 12v neg cable nor removed the main battery plug however on this video from Ingenext, they are showing this to be done. What are the thoughts on this?

Ok, after reading the description, this is for any 2021 model 3/Y where you are going to install just a normal non ghost module.
my advice would be to just buy the M3P, but if you do this please don’t upbadge lmao
There is a reason the camera person does not talk, esp if they aren't using mics on each person. The volume difference is so large its unbearable and unnecessary
You should take it to the drag strip to get the 1/4 time.
We planned on doing this but didn’t. Good idea though, I’ll talk to Kyle. We did trap the 0-60 and it was the same as the performance 3 - 3.1 seconds. I would assume the 1/4 mile would match the 3P’s 1/4 mile time or maybe a tad faster, but not much. It seems to get off the line a touch faster but then the rest would be same as a P.
Nothing for the performance model??
No. Cars already maxed.
@@IReahpZz So this was just unlocking power that was held back and not actually tuning?
@@PrecyseStylez Yes, some of the LR have the same motor as Performance models and software was holding it back.

Tesla knows everything that happens with these cars. Good luck with your warranty and super charging.
Im a bmw certified technician and I was saying the same thing to myself… If the battery fail there going to scan the car and find a piggyback on it then void the whole claim
Technically Tesla could do the same if you installed an aftermarket trailer hitch, power trunk or frunk upgrades, 3rd party brake or suspension parts, basically anything you’ve changed. Per a Tesla service rep - if there was a problem Tesla would have to prove the failure was due to the upgrade.

On the other hand, you already got the hardware, so manipulating the software will probably void your warranty, but I don't think it's illegal.
Probably as illegal as jailbreaking your phone.
Also, Tesla has detected these modules through firmware-upgrades before and disabled them, so they'll probably do it with this one too.
