Once you loose the Traxxas cone tire you got a solid setup man! With those volts maybe an xt90? BIG Emaxx fan and have a brushless as well as several first gens. :-)
Your boy at the end "Dad can I...please drive it?". I just converted a brushed Stampede to run on my Ryobi batts. Works great and runs an hour on a 4Ah battery. How long will yours run on the 5Ah Milwaukee battery? Does it still have good torque-will it climb?
@the reality Yep. I've got a ton of those batteries too. I converted a snowblower and a lawnmower to run on them also. Inside most power tool batteries regardless of brand they are just various adaptations of 18650 batteries inside.
Issue is those batteries simply aren’t rated for the current. Neither are the connectors. As long as you don’t care about the lifetime of the battery go for it
I was sitting here thinking working on one of my RC cars tonight. I had a Lipo battery blow up on me yesterday. I work a lot with DeWalt tools on a daily basis. To manage this I was wondering if I could do this with my eight scale 6S Kraton and my team associated MT 10 3S. I wonder if I should do a 12 V battery for the 3S and a 20 V battery for the 6S.
I did a similar mod on my emaxx with a 6 amp battery and yeah, it works well for just driving it around but as soon as u start jumping it, the extra weight really messes up the shocks real quick.
It sounds like a good idea but it doesn’t work the best and it’s not worth it because most of power tools batteries are 1C which means the discharge rate is too low to run full speed, rc cars run very slowly and shut of at full throttle. Meanwhile Lipo batteries have discharge rate above 25C, much faster. Anyone has this idea, don’t bother to try it, waste of time.
Pure man of genius award. You sir have earned it
Do you have a how to video just to see what wires you connected

If you go 6.0 & bigger milwaukee they have 21700 cells and can output higher amp rating along with more mah
How is the people saying this battery is going to overload but it’s less than a 6S battery, which you would run with the castle system?
This is awesome
Hell yeah
That’s the first time I ever saw somebody ever did that man that’s pretty smart man that’s using your noggin. That’s pretty smart.
😮no limit to to rc hobby ❤
That’s pretty sweet bro. That was like me taking my broken trimmer and using it to power a wooden rc boat 😂😂😂 reuse reduce recycle 😅😅
Decent
The battery is cool just very impractical

Please show us how to do it!
No, still works!

Warrantyyyyyy
I want to do this to my sons clodbuster, is there a special motor controller & motor combo you recommend?
Isn’t it kinda heavy
Was waiting to see how many s it was gonna beep😂
If you have a 9.0 battery you should try it
Can you tell me what controller are you using
Get the 12.0ho 🤓
what is that esc name
Must b a better esc than I had cuz it fried 2 of them lol
Mamba monster can run up to 25.2v factory rated
I cant help but wonder what the purpose of the traxxas connector is 😂
Same. Not gonna lie though, I'd of used those if that's all I had. This is kind of a "budget" build.
Look at that poor strut

@@Uno-sj8gi why not go with lipos
Can ur esc handle that dang I'd just get a 4 lipo or something
Yeah it can probably handle 6s.
I have the same esc, it'll take 18v easily, it's meant for 22.2v so it's perfectly fine
did it burn up your ESC or motor?
It’s gonna 😂
@@rykercarlson2131 it’s a 22.2v system with an 18v battery on it… It’ll be just fine
@@TheBlackShadow270 with 4.2v fully charged lipos it's 25.2v

Well that sucked you didn't show us it running!
So I’m trying to do the same thing and I have a couple questions, may I get your email address to send a pic of what I got and to pick your brain?
