  • I thought we'd have some fun today and give 6s lipo a shot. It was my first time driving anything as scary and powerful as that monster! For a power plant it's got a Castle Creations Sidewinder 8, 90A ESC and a 1515 series 2200 Kv 1/8 scale motor. It has also got the Proline Shockwave tires mounted up which are a pretty nice tire IMO. This truck on 6s lipo is so insane that I blew up a carrier bearing in the process of making this video. Enjoy!

    I threw the VXL-4s in my brushed emaxx, let me just say this is the mid point of my long journey but this is my favorite truck so Im going to keep it forever

    Currently building a 4s Emaxx, seeing you rip this on 6 gives me hope it’ll last lol. I did pick up the CVDs for the center shafts funny enough, lucked out

    I noticed in the video something did you loose the drive to the front wheels ? You might have a broken drive shaft or something

    • @Hwy49RC
      @Hwy49RC  ปีที่แล้ว

      As I recall, yes, the short driveline to the front diff popped apart

    Can you turn a dual motor emaxx into a single? If so does anyone know if it requires a different chassis or can the same chassis be used?

    • @Hwy49RC
      @Hwy49RC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah. just bolt on one motor instead of two and cover up the extra motor mount hole with something so that rocks and such don't get in there.

    You should get a UDR

    • @Hwy49RC
      @Hwy49RC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I considered it but worried it was going to turn out too much like my Yeti. Though knowing traxxas, they wouldn't build something that breaks so easily. We'll see. I think I would revisit the Yeti before getting a UDR lol

    Nice, but you drove my X-maxx on 6s, although its probably relative as the power to weight ratio on the two trucks is much different.

    • @Hwy49RC
      @Hwy49RC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ooh wait did I? Oh yeah I did... Oops oh well lol. Yeah the ratio is different for sure. 6s on the E-maxx would probably be like 8s on the x-maxx you figure

    I have a Traxxas e-maxx actually I have a supermax also that I race and one brushless emax far from stock and I have a Traxxas Max stock with exception of the wide Max kit in the tires and then an x-max that I haven't taken out of the box yet because I don't have batteries. When I race my supermax I only use 4s because 6s is just too uncontrollable and all it does is melt my slippers and differentials and make it impossible to steer because I can't keep my front tires on the ground. When I started racing the problem now is the exact opposite way too much power. But I would rather have that option than not enough
