I've said it before, but you have the most pleasing and uplifting voice I've ever heard in a tutorial video. I'd watch these even if I didn't learn anything. :)
The reason I use Garment Tool is to make easy cloth-geometry through Bezier Curves (the add-on has some really nice symmetry options and so on), and there’s a neat little button you can press to convert that into a mesh that’s very optimised for Cloth Simulation. Simply Cloth I use for just pure simulation, while Garment Tool is used to create just the cloth, if that makes sense. However, Simply Cloth just came out with a similar update where there’s now this «library» of presets you can use. I highly reccommend it, it’s absolutely brilliant! 🙌🙌
@@POLYCOSM yeah! I wad silly enough to buy it then ask you the question. Somehow the simulation in simply cloth is faster than garment. Thanks again for this tutorial!
I know right! An absolute beast, I don’t understand how he does it! However, I feel the UI is a bit difficult and the tools aren’t as intuitive as I’d like them to be. Simply Cloth is an excellent example of having best of both worlds! 🙌
Great video! Marvelous Designer is amazing, but having used it professionally as a character artist at a major game company, I can say that it's equally slow when dealing with animation and/or high-poly characters. Simply Cloth is a great tool. You should also check out Modeling Cloth. It lets you "tug" the cloth during the simulation - exactly like Marvelous Designer - so you can resolve overlapping geometry issues without having to sculpt them out.
Thanks, Steve! ☺️ Huh, is that right? That’s good to know that non-MD people aren’t really missing out on much then! Ah, I love that feature, and if I’m not mistaken, I believe Garment Tool to also have that very same option. 😁
Perhaps you could make use if the new time stamping feature of youtube. That why when we scrib over the timeline we see the subject titels in the scrubber :)
Nice one 👍 . Hopefully blender cloth sim will get some love and will be optimised one day! In terms of cloth for game a fourth option is to actually use the cloth sim included in the engine 😊 takes the blender pain away.
Ahh, I hope so too! That would make Blender like a full package deal. Almost too powerful, haha! That’s a great point, though! Although, I’ve never tried anything like that so I wouldn’t know where to start 😅
thank you so much for this video, it help me a lot lot!!! , i have only one small problem its after i export my animation to blender.. how to IK rig my character? because once you import the animation to blender you can no longer IK rig the character
Awesome video! Can you show how to import hair? When I use Daz to blender add-on from diffeomorphic they're here and clothing Imports automatically but for some reason I can move the character mesh but not the hair. I tried parenting in different ways but for some reason the hair still won't move with the body. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Eddie! I never really import models with hair and almost never work with hair in Blender (I just paint it on in Photoshop), so I won’t be of any help, sorry! 😕
HI, thanks for this videos, i do have an additional questions per example lets said i work my animation on Blender but i wanted to transfer to daz3d, is there any way? i men by using the transfer of the character from daz3d to blender, then animate in blender and then opening the character exported from blender to daz3d
The Animation doesn't work for me. I'm using Diffeo 1.5. I imported the pose as an action and then after that, I moved the imported to around keyframe 15 and then when I play the animation, it doesn't transition from T-pose to the imported action/pose.

Hahaha, I do keep hearing that from people 🤣 Thanks, man :’D
Where has your channel been my whole life? This is gold.
Hahaha! Aww, so glad you’re enjoying our content! 😄☺️
A warm and happy voice. Nice.
🤣🤣 Thanks Phillip 😁
I'm happy to hear your friendly voice and thank you so much ! haha
Aww, you’re welcome! 😄
Finally! I've been wanting a tutorial like this for a long time! Thank you!
Aww, glad you found if useful! 😄
@@POLYCOSM i have a question, is there a reason why you use both garment tool and simply cloth? i'm curious :)

No problem at all! Glad you found it useful 😄☺️
Thanks a lot...it helps me. Could you please make more of these videos, they're very helpful.
THat developer form the cloth addon has amazing addons, He's really king of Python to me :) His hair tool is also amazing

Dont the newer version support GPU now, that should make a huge difference i believe
Newer version of what, Rombout? 😊
PPS you should look for addon Modifier Tools which will allow you to apply, delete, expand and collapse all modifiers much faster with 1 clip.
Hahah funny you showed FlippedNormals, they have same intro sound as you ;) If i recall that intro properly
Haha! They were the main inspiration for our intro. (It’s not the same, just similar,) As a fellow norwegian, they’re a huge inspiration to me. 😄😁
can you make a updated video for v1.5? I seem to have problems with morphs, facial expressions with it, would love it if u cover them in that video!
We have a backlog of videos we need to make, but I’ll certainly consider it! ☺️
Perhaps you could make use if the new time stamping feature of youtube. That why when we scrib over the timeline we see the subject titels in the scrubber :)
We have time stamps on all of our videos :)
@@POLYCOSM ow weird I believe I didn't see them, I do now. 😎

@Polycosm! Very good video! Thank you very much! very impressive how you work with the addons intuitive :)
Thanks, Vjaceslav! ☺️ So glad you’re enjoying the tutorials! Simply Cloth is so amazing, by far one of the best addons for Blender. 🙌
HI, thanks for this videos, i do have an additional questions
per example lets said i work my animation on Blender but i wanted to transfer to daz3d, is there any way? i men by using the transfer of the character from daz3d to blender, then animate in blender and then opening the character exported from blender to daz3d
Thousands of likes !
I cant get the official daz importer to work, the file isn't showing in the app data folder for blender, how did you get the official version to work?
I haven’t really used the official DAZ/Blender bridge, so I wouldn’t really know, sorry 😅
The Animation doesn't work for me. I'm using Diffeo 1.5. I imported the pose as an action and then after that, I moved the imported to around keyframe 15 and then when I play the animation, it doesn't transition from T-pose to the imported action/pose.
Have you tried version 1.4.2? 1.5 is still unstable, so that might be why.
@@POLYCOSM sorry, the mistake is on my part, I didn't keyframe the T-pose to Frame 1.
No worries, glad you figured it out!
when i try to do the cloth sim my Daz model just sinks down through the floor
That’s weird, it shouldn’t have any physics on it other than collision?
Finally, it's the 17th.
Haha! Hope it was worth the wait 😄
@@POLYCOSM Totally worth it! I tried your tutorial right away. Thank you!
Thanks dude 🙌 Hope it worked well for you! 😄
