My experience with the 3126, you won't have to worry about to much power! I used to build grain trucks for farmers and I loved the FL freightliner. Plenty of room under the cab to run linkage for the dump valve instead of cable that seize up and need replaced every 2 years! Some guys will tell you that you can't make a 10 wheeler with a FL70, but we built several of them. Even put a air tag on one to make a trip axle. Just all around nice trucks!

But with commodities being what they are, if the Women don't find you Handsome, they better find you Handy 😂 That's a line from the Red Greene show 😅 And Scott those jeans you are wearing, that you just burnt and wore holes in are now worth about 300 bucks in the stores where teenagers shop. So don't throw them out! Plus spray Rhino liner on the frame for rust protection, would be a good option too.

Could you take the low profile tires off and put larger tires on those rims to give you more clearance.I'm sure you have extra tires around that might not be road worthy but would still be good enough for around the farm. What would determine that would be if there is enough clearance between the bed and the larger tires.

Hey guys. Enjoy the footage. Our farm has always repurposed this stuff as well. For the cage off the trailer, I immediately thought a chicken coop pen. Just a thought

Well for the price you paid for that old freight Shaker y'all made her into a nice water truck for the farm.... Took a little modification but leg arms made short work of it ...

Make sure to run good oil in the 3126. It's a heui like a power stroke. 3116/3126 doesn't get alot of love. Not a bad engine just has its quirks. At least it's got the Allison 😊

As strange as our weather was, lets get really strange and have tons of good crops so you can put some lipstick on the pig deal... yeah, sell those old trucks and get something worse because its the "Welker way". I always had a spot in my heart for old metal. Most old metal is kind of like myself, waiting for a heart attack/LOL

It's a condenser. The evaporator is what cools thee air to cool the cab.

I bet y'all have a few thousand dollars of scrap laying around on the farm. Great video and congrats on getting a Freightshaker!

Sweet deal! Might call Larsons about their KW T800 bobtail with a grain box. Sounds like they don’t really use it. No truck stands up to KW. I’m biased, but the truly are the finest trucks built. They’ earned their name, “Worlds Best”. Your 9370 is a sweet one too.
Glad to see you’re getting some moisture.

I don't think I've ever seen a freightliner from the Era without one part of the grill broke.

I think the broken grill was a factory option

I thought they would have fabricated a new one from the expanded steel they removed from the bed.

she will be a good truck those 3126 are tuff little engines. i did notice she had a long crank before she started it has 2 cam sensors in the back of the front cover behind the air compressor when one goes bad it will cause a long extended crank at start up

Thanks for the heads up on the sensor. I can see about replacing that. It was pretty cold when it cranked then so a good test will be when it warms up.

Condenser actually, condenses the hot gas back into a liquid before going back to the pump. The evaporator is under the dash because it evaporates the high pressure liquid into a gas and absorbs heat making the cab cooler.
