Once you put set your brass embossing plate under the heat plate, you need to bring the handle down so that your brass plate touches the bottom. Then you have to adjust each spring. I used a caliper to make sure the heat plate is exactly the same at each spring. Once you’ve done this you will get even stamping all around the heat plate. Good luck!
I used to fight a square plate and fat flatwire springs often as a press operator. You can't trust them to stay right, they take some experience and vigilance to maintain, also lots of spares.
I wanted to see how to get the desired lettering/wording or design programmed onto the machine to then get it to be imprinted onto the leather, but that bit wasn't shown. I'm new to this so don't have any other reference videos yet. Thanks for sharing.
cool video, thanks for taking the time to share!, I think you were getting uneven results because your platen was not level. You can adjust the heat platen using the 4 screws.
thin card and Leather only, works great, tried to do it on thick cardboard and didnt work, tried on a jiffy bag, didnt work, tried on a laminated document, didnt work
@@ashleighdeck3429 so I got it working, basically, place thick card under and set the temp to below 100 like 95ish and each press hold down for 1 2 sec release 1 2 sec 2nd press and then lift and it comes out perfect :) hope yours comes out well too!
Thanks for the question, it doesn’t come with letters, but I highly suggest leatherstampmaker.com link in the description. You can get a letter set or custom logo made.
Not much can go wrong with them it's a heating element and a thermostat regulator. The rest is mechanical. I ordered a model but it doesn't have the digital readout and does have a thermostat reading. I want to possibly make my own dies. But I've been searching online for antique and bossing dies for hot stamping and can't find anything. Anyone know where I might find antique embossing dies? Thx
Nice review! Your samples look great. Would love to see a follow-up one year on. Would you recommend it? How has it held up? Do you use it as much as you thought? Have you had other dies made for it? Are there any tips you’ve learned that you could pass along? Would be good to see see how the die is installed.
How is this working? I have the same machine and I see that your springs are already mentioned more than mine. I press mine down hard and still can’t get a good imprint.

really helpful walkthrough. I'd be keen to get your updated thoughts on it 2 years on.
I’ve since then shift gears, but it did great while I owned it. It’s hard to beat for the price!

With the foil 130°C is too much. At least with mine that's similar. I use about 100°C with tapes.
That’s good to know! Unfortunately some equipment and different brands of tape act different. Thank you for sharing.
Hi, great video, Could you tell me what is the diameter of the slot?

This model just has a single slot to bolt the stamp die too, but I get everything from LeatherStampMaker

I’ve since sold the press since I don’t make leather goods. I did have to use a lot of pressure to get a good impression.
Thanks for showing the details! I think I will get one of those.. I am a papercrafter and this one might fulfill all of my needs😊
I need this. how much will be the cost including shipping to Australia Sydney i need 3-7cm?
Do you think this would be good on lens and temples for optical acetate or metal?
I wish I could help, but unfortunately I’m not familiar with that. I do apologize.
