My opinion has changed now that I'm in my 40s and married. I think once u love someone unconditionally and he or she knows this, that's the time he or she starts to lower their efforts and even self care. It's sad but it happens.

I just wanted to say that I was in a relationship for 6 months and this guy never opened up to me and I didn’t pressure him or anything I always waited for him to trust me and tell me when he was ready and he never did and the day we broke up was the day he finally told me what was going on. I was like why didn’t you do this before all of this mess and he said he didn’t feel like he could trust me before and I wasn’t good at comforting people I dont know...
Oh that is a lie definitely. He did open up at the end, so it was not your fault that you didn't comfort him. Don't put the blame on you. I had one bf for one year and he didn't open up at all, and it's not that I was the problem because I know many people that trust me enough to open easily. People have their issues and that is it.
Watching this made me feel more grateful that I ended my latest relationship. My boyfriend just seemed distant, and wouldn’t want to get in a call with me. So watching this made me realize, that he wasn’t interested in me anymore.

I still don’t regret having my relationship and we made it work for 2 years. Eventually, the issue came up again and it was just the end of the line. I think at the time I was so willing to look past it because it was my first ever boyfriend and I’m ngl, I was desperate in some ways. Now, I’ve grown a lot and I’m no longer in that relationship. I’ll definitely keep this mindset when I enter my next relationship and be a bit more cautious when deciding to go into one.
I think appearance doesn’t matter because in order for someone to want to start a relationship they have to be attracted to you (doesn’t mean u have to be pretty means they have to be attracted to you) but it should not be the main factor in a relationship

Here's a tip people if a guy is closed off move on, it's a waste of time because he hasn't gotten over his shitty ex who cheated on him or had a addiction problem or ruined their credit. Just be yourself, don't waste your time, let guys know you're looking for something serious if you are and trust me they will give up quickly. Find something you love and are passionate about and run with it, life's too short to be chasing people or trying to make anyone fall for you. Someone will love you for you and you won't need advice or hacks, if it's meant to be it will be. Tom makes a lot of good points, just my take on it.
