The End of the Catfish Spawn - When Does the Catfish Spawn End - Where Do Catfish Spawn

The catfish spawn plagues fishermen each May and June, making the catfish bite very difficult and slow for catfish anglers. As June moves on catfish fishermen start testing the waters to see if the fishing has improved.
On this trip I was checking to see if the catfish spawn has been improving. I found blue catfish tough to catch, and it appear the blue catfish spawn is still going on, or at least the blue cats are not eating! The channel catfish appear to be past the spawn. The channel cat spawn usually ends first and then begin to eat, followed by the blue and then the flatheads.
