    Hi Bob, nice tent ya made there. Been watching many of your videos lately, great job. I see you have a Fat Bike, you gonna do any Fat Bike overnight camping trips, or does that belong to one of your daughters? Take care.

    Hi there. I was wondering if you get any condensation problems in your tent when you’re using your hot tent and stove in colder conditions??
    Thanks.

    • @thenewfoundlandoutsider6354
      @thenewfoundlandoutsider6354  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, if the stove goes out it sweats up fast like an old tent without a stove but with the stove going its dry

      @@thenewfoundlandoutsider6354 Okay, good to know. I like the canvas hot tents, but crazy amount of $. I was also considering canvas drop cloths as an option. Not waterproof, but rain isn’t an issue in Sask. in the winter!!

    • @thenewfoundlandoutsider6354
      @thenewfoundlandoutsider6354  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually drop clothes are water proof if you was your tent after it is done and hang it by the wood stove to dry, I've done it before, but when you rub the tent on the inside during rain it will come through a litle

      @@thenewfoundlandoutsider6354: That’s a very good point.
      A lot of us actually waterproof our tents every year, because of that.
      Soak it down good in the summertime, on a hot day, and let the fibres shrink in the hot sun as it dries, for a really nice tight leave. Then waterproof and seal any seems that need extra.
      It means no regrets when a torrential deluge hits.
      By the way, it’s a pleasure watching you do this and learning from you.
      It’s not hard to figure out why you use an older machine like this: the newer machines, you have to use one certain kind of thread in the bobbin, no matter what you’re doing with it, Or you end up with hundreds of dollars worth of damage to delegate electronic parts.
      These nice old machines, you can use upholstery thread it if you want, or almost any other kind of thread, add as long as you use the right needle, you can pretty much so anything. Although I think I’d draw the line, maybe at heavy leather, just out of an abundance of caution.
      Thank you again for sharing your natural genius.
