If you're like me that only plays offline and pretty much just waits for the DLCs that have about 2 weeks of enjoyment, then it's a mixed bag.

@@Juancho-05 I mean, all DLCs are just that, extra content, there are around 70 free playable characters and dozens of quests you could choose.
Ik it's pretty disappointing that you can't play with all the characters but that's how modern games are usually.

Is still say it is. The gameplay is really solid, the character creation is good, the interactions with characters are really nice with many moves to put on your character, and there’s still a ton of content to play. My only real gripe with it is a that there’s SO MUCH DLC
Honestly the next Gen version should have had all the ones but the new ones to reward those who hadn’t upgraded till now.
Saying this as someone who’s bought them all before (Three different consoles) and want new people to enjoy some of the cool dlc stuff.

That's what makes it confusing cause there's so much stuff and some are in Pack A, or Pack B, but if you get Legendary Pack Z you get both Pack A and B

I’m having a blast with it all over. I put over 500hrs into it when it was new, up until the second DLC… now we’re on PS5 and 17 DLCs later I’m having a blast, made a new character and everything

@@osama9501I realized after doing the math, even if you own the game, your best bet is to buy the ultimate edition which has every dlc except for 17, and as long as you catch it on sale (usually between 40-50$) it’s cheaper than buying the dlcs outright. Its almost 100 bucks to get them all. Soo yea starting as a past player now in 2024 is daunting to say the least. But man I’m having a blast with it all over again lol

I finished the main game and most of the DLC but I’ve tried to get back into it a couple times in 2024 and I just can’t seem to get hooked ya know? I like Kakarot a lot and using the mods that have been created for it, just makes it so fun

Xenoverse 2 is one of, if not the most played game on my PlayStation, with over 1,500 hours and counting. I’d say yes it’s definitely worth it in 2024. This game has given me lots of memories and fun times playing. I think personally that Xenoverse 2 is a game that’s slept on. I would recommend anyone who hasn’t played it yet to do so. 💪🏾
Xenoverse 2 and Fighterz will hold me over until Sparking Zero comes out.

I finally grabbed Kakarot after debating since release while i wait for other releases. I’m actually liking it a lot, I haven’t seen the show in forever so it’s kindve a refresher course. I have the demo of this game but I may get it next. Sparking hype
This story DLC alone proved its way worth it.
Love this game, but after repurchasing it on PC I have zero drive to redo everything and repurchase all of this DLC.
I remember being cracked at xenoverse 1 but xenoverse 2 I can't even figure out how to break the lvl 99 cap

I can’t, I have an account restriction to some of the new content the past couple years. I’ve gotten every move I can get, and I just don’t think releasing previous versions of characters we already have is a very good idea. The new story dlc might be nice, but 20$ for first form broly and videl and stuff just really didn’t matter to me anyway
I always come to this game and play it consistently for a couple months. It's not perfect but it really is a great Dragon Ball game. I don't think it gets the credit it deserves because it's lifespan has been so long, which is nothing but a positive to me. Definitely looking for to Sparking Zero tho. I just got Kakarot since it was on sale
Would you say this game will be a good warmup up for sparking? Never played a db game but want to get familiar with the mechanics before sparking comes out.
I've been playing XV2 since 2016, when it came out. The Xenoverse is strange, in a good way though, it's revolutionary.😀

I’m going to be honest, growing up I didn’t watch dragon ball at all but later on in life I’ve found myself getting into it for the first time. Starting with Dragon Ball and going from there. I just found this game and will be giving it a go!
Yes. I bought it last year for my switch(for 16 dollars) and it's amazing, also i love the theme of turles and slug(it's really Turles's theme because it's the Saiyan drums of war)

@@_abzmoe_its easy asf to get platinum. You would get most of the trophies without even directly seeking out to get them. But there are definitely a few annoying ones you would have to go out of your way to get tho.
Yes the content can be very steep especially the pricing but I do recommend it. It just adds hours on hours of extra content especially if you’re a new comer you have endless opportunities to do what you want whenever you want. And on a side note idk about other consoles but ps5 the dlc goes on sale pretty often so definitely wait and get them all at once
if they wanted to they might as well put mecha frieza and 2nd form cell without needing to have DB Breakers. Hell why not the last two forms of Frieza. Lord Chilled, Tarble, ssj3 Vegeta and Broly, and Hatchiyak (i know they're not cannon). Where's Master Roshi😱Trio danger, Rosie and Kakunza, Androids 14/15/13 transformed, Coolers armored squadron, General Rildo and Ledgic.

Its fun for what kind if game it is. I will always prefer, Budokai Tenkaichi 1-3, Raging Blast 1&2, Budokai 1-3 along with which is technically the 4th one infinite world, and Burst Limit those are all far superior.

The dual ultimates have been in the game for years. I can't remember exactly when. It may have been 2-3 years in they added that. It think around the time of SSB and hero coloseum.

I re-download the game but Jesus Christ I can’t win a single game in offline battle . I have 3 characters at lv 99 , and I remember before doing all missions without a sweat, and offline battles where like a walk in the park. But now I can’t even win a battle
They increased the level cap to 140
Idk for me it's actually easier not using ai teammates, cause 2 of them could be fighting one opponent, while 2 of the enemy are jumping you
all the modes are nice but the problem is getting any match making when solo even with some popular things for players to do like the later emergency missions for tp farming

I didn't have to have the PS4 version of the game to download my save file to the PS5 version. The game reads the data and ask you if you want to use it for PS5.
Man I love this game but we have to move on to 3. The game is is now JANK personified.

For official music they have to sell it. Licensing doesn’t allow them to just throw it in game. It’s all different studios that have to be in contact with each other. Rights, legal, royalties, it’s insane with these anime studios. As for the actual audio, that’s different, but the music itself (the good stuff) is never gonna be free

@@bobby_ironman Wrong, there's masters to train with and unlock different skills, theres over a 100 Parallel Quests in the base game, there's also Time Rifts and Expert Missions as well. Plenty to do in the base game

@@GhostNishikisorry, I should have been more specific and said there there is barely any non-repetive content after the story mode, everything you listed is repetitive and becomes boring after a single run, the only thing left after the story is just a meaningless grind
Personally, I was never very engaged when I tried playing xv2. Could never really put my finger on why but I simply bounced off.

I re-downloaded the game when the PS5 version dropped just to get the free upgrade. I forgot how fun the game is. I already got 2 characters to lvl 140. Im qorking on my Majin character now.

it depends on the person I still play this 8 years later and still very popular and i have 2,229 hours.yeah i played it a lot now 1 to 3 times i play it a week for 3 hours max.
The game is 100% worth it, but you'll be grinding a LOT. Hopefully, the devs make the new STP Medals alleviate much of the grinding process. Getting to level 140 is a monumental task as it is, and it seems level 199 is gonna be the permanent cap by the end of the Future Sage DLC.
XenoVerse 2 definitely still worth playing in 2024 yes I know the game has issues but is still fun to play till this day now im just wishing XenoVerse 3 drops soon
As someone who finished all of Xenoverse 1 and had a sufficient amount of time with Xenoverse 2, I need to say it isn't worth it what with the pretty much guaranteed incomplete package due to the overwhelming amount of dlc and prices as well as necessity to grind for countless expensive in game items and moves. This is one of if not the most repetitive game I've ever played in my life. I will choose Tenkaichi 2 or 3 any day over this. Unless you're a diehard fan of DBZ that doesn't care if Battle of Z or even Ultimate Tenkaichi or Jump Force sucked (though I like them) then I would say this will not be worth it for you. This is my least recommended game and what I would genuinely classify as a waste of time unless you're asking for it as a diehard because there are much better dbz games out there and unless you didn't know them first for yourself then you might get fooled into loving this game.

@@junior8239 When I first saw the trailers before the 1st one came out I was thinking it was going to be like how Kakarot turned out to be. Instead it felt kinda like a cheap and plastic version of Tenkaichi with RPG elements. I say this because the moves felt stiff and like hitting a barrier over and over again and it felt like a spam fest of special moves was necessary since they were more effective which is what people were known to do more than ever and got used to because of the grind. I also didn't like the look of the character models and felt like they were a downgrade from Raging Blast. I would've taken a Raging Blast 3 instead any day.
Saying this game is incomplete isn’t exactly like considering the game came out right at the beginning of the goku black anime all the most of the dlc is warrented we all wanted the new stuff after seeing it on the anime
@@snow6644 Not worth it and likely incomplete meaning in 2024 as a response to the title of the video, but even as literally how difficult it is to obtain all the dlc now. Also... when Xenoverse 2 came out it was basically a rehash of 1 with some minor additions for the most part. If I'm not mistaken there wasn't much content to differentiate itself and it was mostly treading on old ground as if it was a standalone expansion. I remember working towards the new content and asking myself "why does this feel like the same stuff, and why does it feel like I have to fish for new content" That game needed dlc and now that it has it, it's overwhelming and not easy to obtain. On top of that it's being milked soo hard it hurts.
You forget about the aspect you can create your own character. I see your points but no other dragonball game lets you create your dragonball avatar in the way xenoverse does. If thats something you love, xenoverse is your game. Thats what brings me back everytime.

Yea, but the only problem is the dam services and the broken ass build issues you might face with some players because they rarely update to Nerf the op moves or skills or broken z souls, but it does offer a lot of content especially with dlc addeding even more content to grind. I've been playing since the beta days in 2018 and still in 2024, so if you are a dragon ball, give it a try overall it not perfect, but it has it moments.

I wish that for the last 3rd of the newest dlc story, had villainous Vegeta kill Frieza in resurrection F, and go on a rampage too spice things up, leading up to tournament of power and ending with goku, then finally tag teaming beerus. Also instead of just one Broly why not both. The second story was the best out of the 3 for me.Why isn't the new Zamasu Goku dlc.

Brutal honesty: if you just want to fight Ai go for it. However this game has some of the worst online I have seen, don’t get me wrong when it works, it works. But it only works 1/50 times 💀
Thats probably why I like it. I dont care about playing agaisnt tryhards spamming some OP moves. I like playing agaisnt AI and fact that I Can make my own character.

I played xenoverse 2 this year it was fun and very interesting in my opinion.
As someone who has been playing the game since the beginning I’d say it’s definitely worth getting into. I’m not saying that just because I’m a fan. It’s an old game but there are plenty of updates made to it so you know it’s still people playing it. It may seem a lot to get into but if you start off with the base game then it’s not really complicated; everything else like online lobby or DLC is for when you finished the base game and looking for more content. The game is often on sale, right now it’s 50% off on XBox. The worst case scenario is spending $10 which really isn’t bad.
I am dissapointed of Xenoverse 2 especially in the category "Transformation" i dont understand why they decided to make Super Saiyan blue evolution a 35% increase w/ high defense buff and low Ki drain how's that fair compared to the other Races? sure you might suggest the Ki drain keeps up for the Damage and Defense buff but it really doesnt you just have to equip a Supersoul with auto ki generation and you'll be good to go. while other Races which definitly need a rework as well such as Frieza and Namekians dont get what they should get.
(Namekians) - Nerf Required.
I wont lie but this Race feels like a combined Race of Male Saiyan and Male Majin due to their insane Damage and health but it literally says on the describtion of the Namekian race that it does lower Damage but has higher health yeah i am sure doing the same combo three times to kill an Enemy isn't supposed to be weak i mean the Left-right-left-right +Ki blast combo it almost takes down a whole health bar because of how broken their Basic damage is even their Strike skill damage is really powerful when it shouldn't. I know there are some Namekian mains who of course wont understand this. sure id feel the same way if i would play that Race and destroy everyone easily without breaking a sweat.
(Frieza) - Buff Required.
The Frieza race is a very unique race of its own it has great Combos but i believe it could be better considering it doesnt have a functional Stamina break combo which either means you need to push you luck and do a random stamina break or you need to use an Move but using a Slot for a move just to break your Opponents stamina feels unworthy. I do believe all Races should get a Stamina break combo that is functional and not luck based on the Opponents connection. oh and they need to rework the Golden form the upper body should not be turning Purple it should be golden just like it says "Turn Golden" i assume that means the whole Character is supposed to turn Golden not just Arms,Legs. yep not even the Tail of Friezas race turns golden it turns Purple just like their chest does in my opinion it really ruins the feeling of transforming into Golden form.

If you haven't played it at all then yeah but if you have then maybe not bother worrying about it.
This is the league of legends equivalent of dbz games. The player base is usually toxic to everyone (there are some okay people who play it), the devs for years ignored players, the game still has basic issues that haven't been fixed, and there is a lot of content that should be in the game that isn't. So why do people play it? It's just stupid fun; there is a ton of custom features, cool moves and clothes, and when the devs actually do add something good it is usually really good. I can only describe it really as a love-hate game if that makes any sense.
Gonna make me download this ish again.

I can’t wait for sparkling zero so I’m playing every Dragon Ball I got I was having made fun with karkarot that also got a PS five upgrade earlier this year, which I feel will be closest to it, but this comes with so much it’s like what if I’m definitely gonna keep this game on my PlayStation five especially if I play remote play this will be awesome. I’m kind of glad it took like that Dragon Ball heroes fan fantasy approach or at least it looks like that I always like this game I just had to dig it out of my closet usually I shelf games when they’re like unplayable I did that with cyberpunk and dying like two for like the first year dying was like the first couple months, but still it felt longer for some reason I might’ve gotten rid of it because it was on PlayStation plus but luckily me I didn’t and I got the free golden ticket upgrade to this bad boy 😂

Is this game one on one mode? I mean you vs computer or is it just "open world"?
It’s more of a “hub-world” where you can interact with other DB characters (take on one or more as your mentor in fact for some) & close-by locals and objects you can interact with that take you into either story or “parrelel quests” that give you an “altered spin” if you will in the entire storyline of DB-DBS & even some of DBGT sprinkled in there as well.
Its still printing DLC. Its the only Dragon Ball game that is worth it.
