Probably the funniest moment of the season, he looks so genuinely distraught at what he's listening to
If I was in front of a full orchestra and they played 3 blind mice that poorly I’d keel over too. I feel bad for the musicians they had there
Maybe they used stunt musicians.
I've got a dog, his name's Sutekh..
He now killed all lifeform in the universe
The Dream Lord was right about the Doctor having a “purple space dog”. I’m loving all these foreshadowings! 😊
He’s dead… he’s not alive… he’s death…
The fact that Sutekh was traveling with them this whole time
Most long time companion The Doctor had
anyone else wanna hear the full version of “my dog”?
Only if it's done by a rapper 😂
For a "bad" song, it's surprisingly good.
The song was foreshadowing Sutekh.
I'd listen to it on a loop!
That “oh Cilla” at 2:43 is acted so well. The disappointment in his voice.
They basically made "Its okay to leave a dog in a hot car" canon
best Beatles song ever
Should have sung that instead😆
Was the I got a dog "song" referencing sutekh
"My dog is alive he's not dead"
If that's the case, then Russell T Davis is a sneaky bugger
What if it was referencing Paul McCartney being dead replaced by Billy Shears.
Apparently there were some crazy foreshadowing in There's Always A Twist, so I wouldn't put it past them
Well, the Actress who played Susan (not the granddaughter, but Sutekh's pawn) was always listed in the credits as "Susan *Twist*," and she was there at the end...
@@TheMadwomen that’s the actress’s real name
These feel like previews they forgot to release before the episode came on
Nah, this is standard, they always release snippets after an episode airs.
I'm not the biggest fan of this episode but the fake deliberately terrible 60s songs were a highlight that always make me chuckle
And foreshadowing for Sutekh.
It's a great way of showing, not telling, that something is terribly wrong in this timeline...
I'VE GOT A DOG 🗣🗣
Unpopular opinion: "I've got a dog" could be the best dang children's song ever.
Is it a sign that i am musically deaf that I didnt get that the dog song was supposed to be bad until we got to the second song?
1:40 We’re making it out of the TARDIS with this one 🔥🔥
At the end of the episode i had maestro doing the megamind meme pose with text that says: no music? Appear in my head
bruh someone NEEDS to make that a real meme
1963 i wonder if the Doctor and Susan sensed the New Doctor and Ruby and thats what let him know he had to leave Susan in Safety
The Doctor wasn't in 1963 when he abandoned Susan as they were in the 22nd century when he left her
What really startles me is how the villian in the episode is actually terrifying.
That scene where the doctor and Ruby are trapped inside the instruments had so much suspense it was amazing
And that she's the Toymaker's daughter? Who would've guessed that the Toymaker had offspring? Let alone one that makes music boring, and the people who make it tone deaf.
@@alextucker5819The Maestro uses ‘they/them’ pronouns. They said so in the episode.
@@knightofarkronia9968 Sorry. My mistake.
The villain in this episode is an ugly man dressed as a woman. Of course its terrifying.
I know what happened to music: Murray Gold became so half-arsed, he stopped writing new music and just records the old one in reverse.
i loved the devils chord!!
This is my favourite scene from The Devil Chord
''My dog's alive, he's not dead.''
Was that a Sutekh reference all along?
Hey man, i could say my cat is alive because shes not dead.
would you like to read into that too?
@@Blazedlevelbort
But Sutekh evolved into his d0ggy ztyle, seems intentional.
RELEASE THE SERIES 10 SOUNDTRACK
This is my favourite episode from Series 14! The Doctor and Ruby were fun, Maestro was terrifying but fun and the overall happy vibe from it makes The Devil’s Chord a 10/10 episode for me 💙💙
Loved the beatles in this awesome scene
HONESTLY, really like the dog song
The way Paul is holding his Hofner 🤣
MY DOG! MY DOG! MY DOG! MY DOG! I'VE GOT A DOG! I'VE GOT A DOG! IF YOU WANT A DOG GET YOUR OWN GET YOUR HANDS OFF MINE YOU LITTLE SH-
Here before the ‘doctor woke’ and ‘doctor who is dead’ comments.
Ignore them, they are Bowlestrek fans.
Trolls gonna troll, haters gonna hate. But I feel sorry for them. They don't really understand the world, or themselves. They create their own unhappiness deep inside themselves and then want to spread that unhappiness around.
That songs catchy won’t lie
My reaction to what I was listening to can be summed up by the Doctors expression.
1:39-2:07 Funniest song in the entire episode. 😂
Those Beatles had been hitting the gym
"I've got a dog" is a good song, make me think the opposite
I thought for a second that they were about to explain the hidden song in Ruby's soul 😕
Bravo Bravo Doctors
The past has already happened.
I’m picturing My Dog with the face of Sutekh.
finally u guys publish this clip 😭🙏
The reactions of the Doctor and Ruby hearing the songs are pretty much a representation of those who had high hopes for the series but weren't happy with the end result.
Really glad they posted the funniest scene of Season One as a full clip...😂❤🌈
This episode was kinda stupid. Mostly because "The Beatles" weren't relevant at all. You could have easily just replaced them with any historical musical figure. If it was Elvis, Beethoven, Jimi Hendrix, or even Grug (the neanderthal that realized if you hit two rocks together repeatedly it makes a fun noise) the plot would be the same.
Other than, they wanted it to be in the same time period as the Beatles. By this logic, Fires of Pompeii is stupid because Ceaser isn't in it.
I think you missed the point. The main focus weren't the beattles but music , that's why a lot of the stuff happenned at a recording studio.
@@Emulcool I think the writers missed the point, the episode should have been about the wonders of music and not had The Beatles in it at all.
@@benjammin5328 It's spelled "C-A-E-S-A-R."
The future has not happened yet.
"The future is what we make it..." - Sarah Conner
Or has it? Is the future the future when you've got a time machine?
2:11 what?!
Maestro is a god who damaged music. That’s why the pet dog song was horrible. The pet dog was also a god. The dog’s name was Sutekh.
I'm probably a bigger Beatles fan than I am a Who fan. Imagine ('scuse the pun) if The Beatles really did sound like this is our world. 😭
As much as i enjoyed the new season church on ruby road and space babies and rogue empire of death were a miss for me im a bit skeptical for the new Christmas special and the new spin offs and the new season next year
DrB I'm a vet
I liked this episode this year.
Always fun to have real references

Is the Doctor wearing a wig, so that he fits into the time better?
(I haven't seen any of the new Doctor's shows.)
he said "I have wigs galore" during the scene where he changes clothes
@@_smerte42 thanks.
If you hadn't noticed, I said that I haven't watched any of the new Doctor's episodes.
Few black dudes were wearing afros in 1963.
Early. Loved this episode
I really want Paul McCartney to sing I've Got A Dog at some point.
I have a cat. Her name... is Ennui
My cat is a girl, not a boy.
Give me the lovin ❤️
❤
good scene
Costume department totally screwed up in this episode... NOTHING was from 1963 (not even John Lennon's glasses).
unpopular opinion: this episode is good
It's not unpopular except for trolls on TH-cam. It's actually a very popular episode.
Still better than 'Now and Then'. JK, JK!
Huh? Do you mean "GOOD OLD JK!" from series 3?
What's happened to music???
More like,
What's happened to Dr. Who??
Have some cheese to go with that whine. Poor baby.
@@Sunshine-zm1fx LOL!!
It’s changed overtime and sometimes change is the best
@TobySmith-wk9bf not since Peter Capaldi left.
XD
Why do the colours look so washed out in this video?
The music in this Dr Who clip really struck a cord. It reminds me of some of the music I hear on some pop radio stations, soulless, and incipide. It makes me think, where did it all start going wrong.
Probably when you chose the kind of music you listen to.
“The Beatles if they were a good band”
🤮
The worse episode of Dr Who ever. It was pathetic in every way.
How?
Did you get triggered, little flower? Did the nonbinary villain hurt your feefees?
@@Sunshine-zm1fx prick
@@Acknowledgerofdoctorwho How? It finished on a song and dance routine for god sake. And being a Beatles fan, that was just awful,
@@alithealienYou mean a episode about music end with a song?
What I want to know is what happed to doctor who this season was absolutely dreadful the first two episodes were 🤮 since when did doctor who turn into a musical oh that's right it never did until the show decided to get rid of the writers who had talent and hire people who know nothing about a amazing show.they only brought one classic villan back whooptey doo basil we were promised so much but got so little basically we just a crumb and not the whole cookie if next season is like this I will cry please stop changing our show and tweaking it just to appease pepole becuse in the long run you loose fans that way
Musical Doctor Who IS NOT DOCTOR WHO. Worst season ever.
There are three episodes of Doctor Who with a song in them which are:
A Christmas Carol
The Rings of Akhaten
The Devil's Chord
Sorry about reminding you of those episodes as it's not new
@@Ellie10009I totally forgot about those lol I like how you know your stuff and it's also nice to talk to a fellow whovian also thank you fir being nice when responding back the internet can be a really toxic place. I hope you have a splendid and safe night or day
@@Ellie10009 Also The Gunfighters and The Greatest Show in the Galaxy in the classic series.
Ncuti Gatwa is a rubbish actor. He can't act. Millie is good though.
He's brilliant and you must be blind and deaf.
I am the I am the last Dr that I'm a vet Darren Robert Brown drb
Worst. Episode. Ever.
Shut up
@@benikisoka4659 Why does this person need to "shut up"?
Possibly the worst Dr Who story in the past 60 years. And trust me, it won't age well. (And on the other hand Dot & Bubble is probably the best episode of at least the last 20 years).
No not the worst
lol , suuure. We all have for favorites and the ones we don’t like.
@@Thedarkknight27474 sure I'm being a bit hyperbolic... but it's up there.
I would say the worst one is that Wild West story during Matt Smith's run. That episode is boring to me
@@benjammin5328 even boring is better than trashy.
