Martin probably already knows this but when I've seen manifolds fabbed they usually run the merge collector/flange on the turbo and tac a rod from the turbo flange straight to the manifold. This way you can position it beforehand.

Maybe, every chassis and build is different so it's very challenging to make a universal exhaust manifold. We'd be more likely to make you a custom one to fit your car.

We've talked about it, problem is to be financially viable we'd have to sell it for close to $1000 and didn't think the market would be there at that price.
Martin does back purge for a lot of stuff (especially intake pieces). However, the way Martin builds custom headers back purging is extremely time and money inefficient so what we do instead is use something called Type B Solar Flux. It it wiped along the inside of each welding surface. It is a proven technology and while it's not quite as pretty as back purging, functionally it preforms the same.
All depends on which material you use. 304 tends to be the cheapest. 321 increases cost a lot. Even with 304, a one-off custom header will likely cost a few thousand dollars.
@@omd_sd Yeah definitely going to cost a pretty penny. Really appreciate all your content and for the reply. I plan on ordering your mounts, drive shaft, and throttle body/adapter very soon. Hopefully if your not too busy maybe even a vband turbo manifold. I have an altezza on the way but my plan is to get either an s15 or 180sx next. Then going to 1jz swap the altezza and put the beams in the s chassis so i can be KOOL like you 😂.

Is he not back purging those welds? How is it not crusting over on the inside?
