  • In this video I go over the Tesla Model Y Seven seat option. I have a 2022 Model Y long range that has this option and I discuss whether or not it's worth paying an extra $2,500.

    A lot of ppl dont know....if u get 7 seats...ur middle row gets 1.1in more leg room and 0.2in more hip room as well vs 5seat. The manual shows it in dimensions. The trunk double pocket area is actually reduced in 7seater vs 5 seater. Head room reduced by 0.7in for 7 seats. So whats happening is the rails for the 7 seats model actually allows u to sit further back which gives u more leg room and hip room because the car is wider towards rear. Then the sloping glass roof reduces headroom a bit. Worth it to me. Good job buying the 7 seats.

      Thank you for this information! I am looking to get a 7 seater and wasn’t sure all the differences. Definitely seems worth it for the price.

    I think your pronunciation is very clear that I can understand most of your talking even I am not good at English. In addition, you choose very common words so it also helps understand your speaking easily. I think you will be a really good teacher if you teach English in Korea. Thank you for video. Have nice day.

    Do the 2nd row seats lay all the way down, same as the 3rd seat.

    Love Tesla, however Franz the designer came from Mazda and the moment I heard there will be 7 seater I knew it was lifted from Mazda 5 the compact mini van. The Mazda 5 3rd row is tight for a 10 year old basically no leg room. In a pinch one kid could. Got 5 seat instead till they come out with boxier wagon or minivan, the X is still a niche unaffordable option for most…there is a reason model y 5 seater outsells every single EV.

    6:56 That mechanic report was written by someone with a 5th or 6th grade writing level. You're exactly right, they shouldn't be blaming the customer for a design flaw.

    I'm in agreement. When I bought my Y, the 7 seater option was $4k, so I didn't opt for it. However, at $2.5k, it's much more appealing. That's a significant difference in price. Had it been available for $2.5k, I would've bought.

    I’m looking at purchasing a 5 seater… but finding 7 seaters. Does the third row *remove* a lot of useful space?

      In the 3rd row? No. I have both 13 and 14 year old boys they refuse to sit back there because it's so tight, so my 7 year old usually will go back there

      I have three kiddos 7, 5, and a 7 month old. Going back and forth from Highlander, MDX, palisade, 2020 model x, or Model y? Any personal advice for a girl dad?

    • @CarGeek360
      @CarGeek360 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@larryruffin4546I would personally go for a 2020+ Model X Long Range or 2022+ MDX Advance Pkg (I don’t recommend the Type-S trims bc of the low-profile tires that go flat easily and I would avoid MDXs built in 2021 as those were all early units) but it’s ultimately your choice

    Never safe to keep kids in third row, it’s just “knock the wood” what if rear end happens , you don’t leave a single dangerous element in any car, overall just a bad bad option design. No.
