      ​@melbguy1 yeah Godzilla took some beating ..but it was Godzilla 4WD that made the difference on race day. I think they both put out around the 700 horses.

    I don’t know how he manages such a clean lap in a car that is so under tired and so low weight with such power… they say in qualifying these made 500kw….

      is it that much of a surprise? The Gibson skylines had boost restrictions AND extra weight called 'success' ballast placed on it. So they were down on HP and had increases in weight.
      Dick johnson no surpise had a big part in it. Johnson has always been a sook when he cant win. He's the first to complain and try to get his opponents penalised. He does it to this day.
      It was extremely rich coming from johnson considering he had the fastest sierra in the world. His car produced less than 100hp without the turbo and 600 with it and he wanted the only car that was able to beat him penalised. Pathetic.
      As it turns out, he lost and had yet another sook on the podium. Dick johnsons legacy. Having a cry about it.

      As said above. The GTR had power restricted and ballast added for 92 season. Sierras were super fast in qualifying trim but fragile in race trim.

      I beg to differ, he parked that thing right between those two trees like a boss. Even timed it so he could get a free ride back to the pits with Brock.

      The Sierra was very old by the 1990’s. The first cars were sold at the end of 1995. Rudi Eggenberger created the RS500 evolution in August 1987 . And they had a few homologated parts for reliability with the Johnson / harrop 9” diff , the European eggenberger diff and the 6 speed Holinger.
      So it was very old especially when the same time Holden brought out the VK BROCK . VL BROCK. Walkinshaw VL and the VN which only 302 were built , but CAMS let them race anyway.
