Many older Kirby vacs can be converted fairly easily to twist style paper/hepa bags. All that's needed is a mini-emtor from the Heritage II / Legend and a cloth outer bag from the Heritage.
I just converted my 561 to a Tradition Emptor with Heritage top fill adapter by using plumbing reducers from top end of fill tube to adapter. No 3D printing required or modification to Emptor. Using the Charcoal HEPA as you suggested in other vids. Setup is working and looks better than typical mini Emptor conversion IMO.
Personally I like the shake out bag a lot better than the disposable bags, however for someone wanting the disposable bag while keeping the original bag, this is a great option. The only issue I can see with this is if you are going to use the original bag for the machine, and not the aftermarket one, you would have to remove the outer bag completely to get to the inner bag to replace it? They only have a little zipper for the Sani-Pocket, and do not unzip all of the way! It seems like that would be an issue, especially for someone who does not want to/know how to completely remove the bag.
@@VacLab Thanks. So nobody makes repro cloth bags? But, if I understand correctly, it sounds like I can get a mini-emptor and a Legend/Heritage style bag that has the disposable bag “filler” tube already in it for my Classic Omega?? On another note I used your videos to rebuild my Compact C-6 so I appreciate that video series as well!
This is exactly what I need, I want to keep everything looking original. Where can I purchase the adapter? Was this just a one off part or are they made for retail?
Thx for posting. We are going to get this bag/filler tube right!!!! Darn. Was a little bummed at the cfm ratings compared to the Heritage legend mini emptor’s numbers....really thought it would be closer ...especially woh he larger sized fill tube compared to the H Legends. 🤔 alright Ted , lets get to those changes
The mini emtor forms a better deal around the exhaust. Where bag connects. Have you thought about putting a little bigger tube at the begining and tapering down.
@@les2998 no because the /our purpose is to design an upgrade that keeps the original Sani-emptor in place with a designed, secured, and dependable system using modern Hepa bags. oh, yes, the tapered fill tube was considered....ran into some undesirable side effects with it....
1911beauty I did this to my classic 3. Bought a tradition emtor and a bottom adapter for a heritage 1. Had a seamstress install a long zipper in original bag. Added the fill tube and top of a heritage 2. And voila heap filtration and the machine looks original.
The ability to use a disposable bag while being able to retain the original look, very nice!

Did look at something like this for my Kirby classic 3 , but then just used the legend 2 bag and emptor as colours worked well

That is what I have been wondering about. It was nice to see how it works. Much cleaner way of dirt disposal with removable hepa bag. Great job!
Can’t wait for a product like this to go into production
Hopefully, the creator will have the final product soon.
I modified the setup I make. The Kirby fill tube when in cannister mode kinds the fill tube.
Kirby vacuum and collector did a review of mine.

Who/where creates the bag you mentioned being "custom" in the video?
That manufacturer decided not to produce this item.

So where does one acquire the adapter 3D printer part?
This product was never manufactured.
I have a 3d printer and would like to do this conversion, can you give me a link to the file
This is not my product; hence, I have no file.
Are these available for sale
Not yet. The final revision has yet to be evaluated.
Check my page. I have final version for sale.

This remains in development due to COVID.
I have to ask where did you find the emtor adaptor. I would love to convert my 560 to this. Love you’re channel Btwy.
This product is still in development and is not available for sale yet.
Thanks for the answer. Let me know if it manufactured as I would be willing to purchase one.
