Great talk and so right about Blade. That saved Marvel as a company from Bankruptcy, kicked off modern CBMs, had a crazy influence on The Matrix, the resurgence of Wesley Snipes, became a modern foundation for "coolness" in movies, an early proponent to bringing back martial arts to main stream North America. What didn't Blade do? Blade did for movies what Bullitt did for movie back in the 70s
Roger Ebert was a major cheerleader for Dark City. He picked it as his best film that year. Not a lot if folks got it when it came out, and now it's regarded as a sci-fi noir masterpiece.
You all mesh together so well, I really hope Cody returns as a regular guest. I've watched both channels for years, so this crossover is especially nice!
Great stream, gentlemen. I submit: Action- The Fugitive (train crash) Horror- Halloween 1978 (Laurie escapes Wallace House to the Doyle House) Sci-Fi- 2001: A Space Odyssey (Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite) Drama-Goodfellas (helicopter paranoia sequence) Comedy- Clue (Wadsworth recreates the whole movie)
Great video, guys! Cody is always a great guest! Action: First blood We go from the jail escape to a chase scene to the cliff jump to Rambo, hunting the whole police force down. Incredible every time I watch it. Sci-fi: Predator The end hunt between Arnold and the Predator is fantastic. Horror: Jason lives Jason's Ressurection is so well done and a great homage to Frankenstein. I love the music as well. Drama: Rocky (1976) I wanna be your manager scene where Micky comes to Rocky's apartment, and Rocky unleashes all his fears and anger and reconciles with Micky, and a beautiful friendship begins. Comedy: Planes, trains and automobiles Everything Darren said are my thoughts exactly!! Cheers!!
Thanks for having Cody on. He’s another fav for me. I hope he comes back again. I would also love to see you guys have a conversation with Josh Spiegel from Horror Movie Timelines
I’m surprised T2 didn’t get a mention. Several amazing set pieces. The escape from the mental hospital 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻. Also the LA river scene is a pretty good ‘vehicle jump’ imo
Great discussion! Some good picks in there too. My choices: Action - The Hospital scene in Hard Boiled. Horror - The opening sequence in Zach Snyder's Dawn of the Dead remake. Sci-Fi - The Escape from the xenomorphs in the ceiling in Aliens. Drama - The 'not my tempo' scene in Whiplash. Comedy - The scene where Steve Martin's dog in high heels follows the paranoid Kit Ramsey in Bowfinger.
Brilliant video lads,Getting Coady on was a nice touch because wether you like him or not he really knows his stuff and speaks really well.Loved it 🏴🇺🇸
Fuck yeah dude nice to see ya on here Cody. I’ve been watchin your channel for years. And just picked up on the slaughtered lamb a few months back. Big fan all you guys are hilarious SHOUT OUT FRANK, FRANK, and CODY.
This was fun. Some good chemistry between you guys. One other genre I kind of wish you'd covered, although I can understand why you wouldn't as they probably could be part of action or sci-fi, but I would have been interested to hear everyone's top set piece for super hero films. I imagine Darren, maybe even Frank as well, would have gone with the helicopter rescue from Superman The Movie.
One of my fav set pièces is the Smallville fight in Man of Steel This is what a Superman fight should be. All our imaginations looking at comic book panels manifested Imho MOS is the Superman film but that's for another day
THE OPENING OF STAR WARS… It f*cking draws you in! Darth Vader getting in Princess Leia’s face. Come on! 2nd runner up: JAWS. The nude girl in the water gets attack from below… 3rd: BLADE RUNNER. The Los Angeles night sky with the levitating cars with the factories in the background.
Comedy set pieces is something I’ve never really thought of. Now that I have, I’d go for this. th-cam.com/video/Tu1RZaFnkKs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cdYcWvDUObYbuW88 (pink panther strikes again)

Indeed, thanks for watching

Thanks. Let’s see how the episode performs.
Now this is the collaboration we need 🥳
My two favorite worlds colliding!
Thanks 🙏🏼
"So how many podcasts do you intend to be a guest on?"
Cody: "ALL OF THEM!"

Glad to hear you guys talking about The Exorcist III. Fantastic film!
So excited to listen to you guys regularly, excited bonus to listen with Cody joining as well!
Thanks Laquita
Superb concept for an episode, great having Cody on.
It was fun
For horror the first film that came to me was the opening of 09's F13. It's absolutely brilliant and a short film in itself. Great picks guys 😊💜🐾👍👋
A welcome collaboration. You guys hit it off really well. Should bring him back again or go on his show.
We’ll see. Thanks for watching Matthew.

Never thought I’d see this collaboration, but I’m glad I did 👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers bud!
To me, the best line in Bad Boys II is during the scene you talk about. Marcus: You see that?….Mike: They throwing cars, how I’m not see that?” 🤣
That muthafucker flipped!!!!
Yes! Cody is amazing and you guys are my favorite you tubers so what a perfect combo. ❤
Awesome video, great collaboration!
Thanks buddy
Loved the collaboration ❤
Great show guys!!!

So wonderful to see this channel grow to over seven thousand subs. Keep up the great videos.
Thank you very much!
You are spot on with your choice of scifi setpiece Darren. I get chills when the door opens and Maul comes out.
Terrific moment, thanks
Great video guys!
Cheers Kane, you’ve been around since the beginning, appreciated
This was great! 👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome set piece that immediately comes to mind is the Freeway chase sequence in The Matrix Reloaded 😯😯😲
Brilliant video lads,Getting Coady on was a nice touch because wether you like him or not he really knows his stuff and speaks really well.Loved it 🏴🇺🇸

LMAO I meant to type Frank, Darren, and Cody. It’s miller time ⏰
My cinema I worked at didn't get the Shawshank Redemption . My brother rented it and brought it down to mine to watch. Brilliant film 👍🐾💜😊

Lee J Cobb was the OG Willy Loman in DEATH OF A SALESMAN. George C. Scott played him multiple times.
Thanks Mitch
Great episode fellas 🎉
Good to see you back Johnathan
@@TSLMoviePodcast I never left, I’ve just been hiding in the shadows👀😂
@jonathannichols196 thanks man
Greatest action set piece HAS to be the lobby scene in The Matrix.
Was hoping you guys would eventually colab with Cody
It’s done?!👍🏼
Cody is getting around recently. He was on Pizowell's stream the other night too.
That’s a good thing!
@@TSLMoviePodcast Deffo. I like seeing horror youtubers I like, coming together to collab.
More Cody plz
We’ll see
Dark City is so much better than the matrix imo . Great pick
One of my fav set pièces is the Smallville fight in Man of Steel
This is what a Superman fight should be. All our imaginations looking at comic book panels manifested
Imho MOS is the Superman film but that's for another day
6:18 If they brought Snipes back they could do the original idea for the 3rd film with an older Blade in a vampire ruled world.
THE OPENING OF STAR WARS… It f*cking draws you in! Darth Vader getting in Princess Leia’s face. Come on!
2nd runner up: JAWS. The nude girl in the water gets attack from below…
3rd: BLADE RUNNER. The Los Angeles night sky with the levitating cars with the factories in the background.
Nice list
Enjoyed the Disney Star Wars Rant. Be careful you dont get accused of being Toxic and Grifters 😂
Halloween kills is thoroughly enjoyable 😂 but maybe for the wrong reasons
Yep, lots of awesome Michael moments
Horror blood test scene The Thing.
I almost went there. Damn!
Shout out michael bay, over hated. Nobody can direct action like him
Agreed
I like the last 2 bad boys movies, but they definitely miss that michael Bay spark. Hes perfect for the bad boys franchise
