    This ending is absolutely brilliant because it gives an immense feeling of accomplishment and makes you look back at all the people you met and all the lands you conquered throughout your quest, and you realize that Link not only became a hero, but also a man. And when the credits starts rolling and the music kicks in, you can't help but get teary eyes.

      +Balmung35 actually it's the opposite, think about it, a link to the past tried to feel dark, but this ending proved it's the opposite, your uncle is alive and fine, everyone is back at their homes and everyone lived happily ever after.......lame!!!!
      the endings of the legend of zelda are emotional, touching, and every zelda game i finished left an impression on me, except this one, which sums up the problem with this game, it's horrible story.

      Same here! I'm playing it right now, actually, but it's paused. Misery Mire, here I come! This game has everything, and it's just wonderful! I'm a completionist, so I look for and find every item and trick I can find. The design and story is so fun! It's still a fairly challenging game, even though I've probably beaten it, literally about 500 times now-from start to finish! I like that it is also less linear, too. The music is beyond epic! The ending gives me goosebumps every time! It's beyond amazing and just so nostalgic! I love classic SNES games, but this game has a special place in my heart-like a full Heart Container. It just fills me with joy and memories! It's a masterpiece! I'm grateful to have experienced it with you! ❤

    I consider Link to the Past as the best 'pure' Zelda game. It's the Zelda formula done absolutely perfectly. Many of the other games, Ocarina, Windwaker, Skyward Sword, etc were great in their own ways, but they all had some 'gimmick' which defined them. Whether it was the sailing or the musical element of the ocarina. They represented interesting divergences from the Zelda formula that, while cool, diluted them somewhat. I don't really hold this against them, Link to the Past is essentially perfect and it was intelligent to realize that they couldn't top it and needed other elements to mix up the formula.

      Exactly what I've said for years. LttP is the best LoZ game hands down. OoT was heavily based off of it because it was so good.
      I dream of a day Nintendo finally remasters LttP in full 3D. That would be a very legendary experience. Even though it'll be the exact same game, the play through would be completely different.
      Imagine Turtle Rock with 3D aspects, Skull Woods, Tower of Ganon. The fights with Agahnim and the final fight with Ganon. Hell all of the boss fights.
      It would bring the game to a level of hard never known since the beginning lol

And maybe since we had a sequel on 3DS , we could get a bit of expansion of the game with optional dungeons and something else after endgame. But anyway it is really hard to make this game better than it already is. Maybe on next nintendo console we'll have it... Or maybe for 30th anniversary... It counts not only deaths (including auto revives via bottle fairy), but also saves. I discovered this after my second playthrough. The only way to finish with 0 games is to leave the game on continuously (pausing with the item select screen is okay) and never ever dying.

    • @Swiftbow
      @Swiftbow 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tomkerruish2982 It doesn't count revives via fairy. Just actual deaths and Save and Quits. I just played through it again and can confirm... I died 3 times (once because I let my 2 year old play, lol. And then two more times immediately afterwards because I stopped being careful), and quit for the night twice. My game count at the end was 5. (I had a LOT of auto revives via fairy. So those definitely were not included.)
      The best I've ever done was 3... no deaths and Save and Quit 3 times. (That was back when I had a 2 hour TV limit. So like... 30 years ago, lol.) I still have that save file. Still going for that magic "1." But I hate leaving the SNES on all night. Especially since both console and game are 30+ years old now. And the cartridge battery is somehow still holding a charge.

    Watching these endings and hearing these songs on TH-cam has really changed my perception of a lot of these games. I just about never get emotional while playing a game or beating a game if the ending is sad. My mind is not in a place where it can truly appreciate depth of emotion when I am playing. I'm ready for the next battle or satisfied at the victory. An emotional cutscene that may undermine that feeling gets sort of shoved aside by my subconscious.
    But you come here and watch and listen to these. There's no greater context within the game you were just playing. You're not trying to avoid looking lame in front of your buddy or your dad. It's just you and that ending and that track in a vaccuum by itself, and the way it makes you feel. Then you scroll down and look at all these comments and you see how much it moved other people. And then that stirs something up inside you too. Finding these moments on TH-cam has given me a newfound appreciation for a lot of moments, tracks, cutscenes and endings that I never took the time to really appreciate when I was just playing through them.
