  • With Ganondorf's defeat, the twilight threat is finally over, and the curse on Midna is broken. Revealing her true form as the princess of twilight, she leads Link and Zelda to the Mirror of Twilight atop the Arbiter's Grounds. As the true ruler of twilight, only she can truly destroy the mirror for good..
    Thank you guys for watching my playthrough of this game! I know it took me forever to upload, but I have a full-time job and a relationship now, so things have been busy. Hopefully I can upload some more videos in the near future!

    I still love how Link in Twilight Princess was more of a mentor character for the children of Ordon with an actual job rather than being a naive young lad like he is in every other game. Twilight Princess Link was refreshing.

      4ever EndlessX I like your explanation, but I think the Zelda creators need a more convincing answer. Notice that if there had never been a mirror in the first place, Zant would not have been corrupted because Ganon would have never been sent there. In reality, there would have never been a danger affecting both worlds since the evil of one world would be contained within each one, with no way to escape. So the theory that “they knew something evil would happen and they’d need a hero” is just not convincing. I would argue that the Twilight Realm was meant to punish people who committed crimes (which would explain why Ganon was sent there after a failed execution). The Twili were banished to it but eventually resigned to living in that world and made it their own; light dwellers, however, were denied the light and instead were banished into shadow, without the powers of the Twili.
      Why Midna destroys the mirror is beyond me. Perhaps it’s the way to ensure both worlds live in peace? A way to ensure one world’s problems don’t spill into the other? Using the coin reference: one side of the coin doesn’t know or see what is on the other, nor should it; it just knows there is another side to it.

      Toriano Reno my only criticism with that would be that there’s no hints for this, especially if you dont play many of the legend of zelda games

    Reading the music playing, you can feel just how much Midna's departure changed Link. Before the cutscene, the music was all cheery and happy, and after it, while it only sounded sad in the beginning, it felt stained until the very end, specially if you compare it with the first half of the music. It is just not the same thing.

I sob everytime I think about how much it had to kill her. To know that letting there be a link between the two worlds, Light and Dark, was too dangerous. To know that by destroying that link she could never see the one she loved ever again. Choosing the right thing because she know that's what Link would do. Midna was such a fucking gift. Now... go read the manga.
    Yes, it's a bit weird at first to see Link talking. But they did a great job giving him a real personality, with flaws and a sense of humor and even a darker side we've never seen before. It's so much darker and more violent than any Zelda game ever! Plus, all the side characters get so much more fleshed out in the manga, especially the resistance group, the Skeleton Mentor (AKA: Link from OoT), and King Bulblin. We even see flashbacks to Link's past, and when Zelda and Midna were children (chibi Midna is the cutest thing ever).
    But most of all, we just get to see so much more of the relationship between Link and Midna. Some of the best moments include Midna slapping Link, nuzzling in his wolf fur, perving on him in the hot springs, Link teasing her for being afraid of bugs, and the hug-scene we never got in the game.

  • @NathanDav42
    @NathanDav42 5 ปีที่แล้ว +133

    Since Link’s always reborn anyway, why couldn’t this one have wound up with Midna? We know their love was true as he fell in love with her when she was just a cursed impish trickster and she fell in love with the courage and selflessness ever-present in him whether he was human or wolf.
    It may be the purest, most believable, and most equal love in all Zelda games.

    Twilight Princess was my first and only game that I had taken really seriously with. This game to me was so magical and unbelievably mind blowing to me. I could never really sit down and fully play a game and completing it, but Twilight Princess changed that for me. It would eventually take me like 6 months to finally complete it and man it really broke me after being hooked in for so damn long. everything about that game to me was precious and perfect to me. This wasn't just a game to me anymore., It felt like I was a part of the Twilight Universe, and it really left me scarred with such perfect memories me after I was really finished with the game. everything was so perfect in my eyes, from the textures, soundtrack, gameplay, and story and it just nailed everything for me. I have not found any other game yet to have that same affect now and I thought maybe it was because I got a lot older, so I replayed this game again after like 13 years (20 years old currently) and man what an experience to go back to. I had felt same exact experience but just with a lot more nostalgia. I was able to really get serious and invested in this game once more which still blows my mind now. I really cannot explain why this game really got to me like it did but my god I am so glad it did because it had me actually crying but it felt so good. I have never cried for any other game not even with movies either. This is my all-time favorite game, and I don't think anything will change my mind anymore.

I also really liked her relationship with Link and Zelda. I wish she didn’t destroy the mirror. I firmly believe she fell in love with Link. I kinda of think that maybe somehow someday Link still found a way to see her again, since he is the Link between the worlds. I also liked Zelda a lot in this game. She felt like the ruler that she is, being serious and caring, and playing the role in a more professional mentor like with Link. Link too his interactions with the villagers and and felt more realistic and like it had more weight to it.

      Mckenzie Schmidt its less a ship and more of a probably thing on here. There was actually way more chemistry between them here as it was meant to be. Each game has zelda mean something different to each. On here she is has an older authority figure that is mentorish. Hell, Ilia has more chemistry than she does on here otherwise they wouldn't set it up that way. playing it back made it even more obvious lol

    The Ending changed. ): Am I the only one who liked the original "the end" screen at the goddesses statue. Something about it just saying the end and letting it sink in that you've beat the game just has a greater impact for me.

    • @bagofchips8813
      @bagofchips8813 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      i just fished out a wii ending credits and that statue looks the same as this one. ...only difference aside from resolution is the wii version's the only version of the 3 to flip the entire game's image left to right in favor of using the wiimote to aim (majority population being right handed). Do you mean the hd version doesn't let you stay on that ending statue as long as desired like the wii version would?

    • @WideMouth
      @WideMouth 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Bag of Chips Yeah, he’s talking about how (like Zelda games in the past) the ending would stop at a single picture, in this case the goddess statues, and it would leave you there until you turned the system off.

    Midna breaking the mirror was the saddest moment in Twilight Princess. • @angbandsbane

    You know the really potentially tragic part of this ending? The Hero's Shade in this game kind of implies he never found Navi and thus his life was wasted looking for her. If the Hero of Twilight is indeed riding away from Ordon in search of a way to find Midna, he's likely about to do the same damn thing!

    • @ElFreakinCid
      @ElFreakinCid ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, what's implied is that he just grew up completely unrecognized as a hero. Because most of what he did in OoT never happened from the perspective of this timeline branch, and no one else knows of Termina's existence, so if he were to tell anyone of the things he did, they'd be seen as just a kid making up wild fairytales.

      Ilia already has that role. I think Midna is just a close friend and Link is astonished (with the lack of words just being a character trait of Link) at how different she actually looks, with Midna chiming in with cheek. Zelda is just a person of power who aids them for the good of all, not for any romantic reasons.
