Why am I so starving for Exegesis, Apologetics, and the study of World Religions? What causes this? I literally can’t stop listening to/reading Apologetics and the Quran, and generally studying the Biblical Worldview. It’s like crack, I can’t get enough. I don’t even think I can sleep without it. I clicked on this video with the intention of listening while I go to sleep, as it is 2:30 a.m. If any of you have sources or recommendations I could use to satisfy the spiritual tapeworm who controls everything I do, I would genuinely be so thankful. How much does one spend on indulgences to equal the time shaved off by the offering of the mass? More directly, how much is the blood of Christ worth to Rome?
as a Christian. I've had a lot of nihilistic feelings and thinking for a long time, and it's worse because i'm Autistic. And since I'm autistic, the way my life has been. The way my life has been. For most of my short life. Has almost felt like a Jail And even when I had My job. I just always felt like my life was meaningless, and it was doing nothing that my life. He's just wasting away, achieving nothing, being nothing, and being stuck where I live. I often feel Julius, Caesar. Because he When he read about the conquest of alexander the great He cried Because everything he had done in life was nothing compared alexander and his short life Alexander did something to get himself remembered forever And caesar realized At that point in his life. He would be forgotten and never remembered. And from those feelings gave birth for Caesar's desire for conquest. And to be like alexander I have often Pleaded with God for years. Or just strictly told him I hate my life But I wish I could live in the past. Live a different life in be like that was great, conquerors and generals and warriors of the past. I'm a history nerd and I love conquest I could fit more into the past Then I would in the modern world I am not ignorant what I say because I'm a historynerd and I know how people lived I've I know more about history than people know about their own languages. I have just wanted a life that had more meaning and had more things for me to do And and not have a life that turns to dust I just know I could have done more if I was given a chance In a different Point in history I just know There were so many lives I could have lived. ( And please for everything holy Do don't say I need to accept Jesus into my heart or become born again. It gets so tiring Hearing that I know my salvation Thank you very much)
You need to take your focus off yourself, quit wallowing in self-pity, and fix your eyes on Christ. Lots of people are autistic and everyone feels like you do at some point in life. That's the human experience. Everything painful and without hope is designed to drive us to our knees and draw us near to Christ. I encourage you to study the book of Job and then go through the NT. There is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel regardless of circumstance.
Also, praise God for you, brother. Jesus has you in the palm of his hand and every detail of your life, from the first moment to the last, is ordered and ordained by God. Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness. Pursue God's glory and know that feelings change, whether you're young or old, but God never does. Phi 4:4-7. God bless. If you ever need someone to talk to call a local church, preferably evangelical, and ask to speak with someone. Don't be afraid of that. Also comment on these videos and other believers will respond.
I feel you, and there is a great revelation to be had here. What is Gods will for my life? Well, His will for you is to love God and Love your neighbor as yourself. That’s His will for all of His flock. If you spend your time pursuing these things, you will find that your purpose has been there all along. Things will fall into place for you. Keep praying, studying, seeking. Don’t give up.
51:20 because sin is the presence of the demonic filth. Non of that-no sin. Imperfection, not fully wise, not fully mature worldview is just growing, but no sin. No access to the demonic, sealed from it by Christ = no sin.
The Mass is indeed sacrifice but it is NOT re-sacrificing Christ again and again as Dr. White keeps on accusing. Through the Mass the same sacrifice Christ made on the cross is made present in un-bloody manner, which Dr. White did quote from Trent. To understand how such thing is possible we need to go to Rev. 13:8 that says Christ as the Lamb slain before/from the foundation of the world. The Greek verb "slain" is in Greek passive perfect tense. Unlike that of English Greek perfect tense indicates the action described by the verb (to be slain) was completed in the past (at foundation or creation of the world) with continuing result to the present . For comparison the phrase "it is written" (Mat. 2:5; 4:4, 6, 7, 10 etc.), referring to Scripture, is also in Greek passive perfect tense. Whenever we buy a new Bible in any language, Scripture is reprinted but it is not rewritten. Thus Christ’ single sacrifice on the cross can be made present in every Mass without Him being re-crucified or re-slain again. The relation between His being slain from the foundation of the world with crucifixion is stated in Heb. 9:26: “for then he [Christ] would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world [not since crucifixion]. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” Heb. 13:10 says: “We have an altar (θυσιαστήριον, Strong G2379) from which those who serve the tent (σκηνή, Strong G4633) have no right to eat”. The word “we” is first person plural that includes even the person who wrote Hebrews - in other words it refers to believers. “Those who serve the tent” refers to Levitical priests of Judaism who served in the Jerusalem Temple or Tent of Meeting during Exodus. In the Old Testament Levitical priests have the right to eat some of offering or sacrifice (Lev. 6:26; 7:6; 24:9, Num. 18:10-11). “Having no right to eat” in Heb. 13:10 refers to having no right to eat sacrifice from the altar of believers of Christ. We do not eat potluck meal from altar. The word altar, sacrifice and priests are interconnected - they always come together. The Reformers replaced altar with pulpit, replaced sacrifice with sermon and replace priests with ministers. When God established Levitical priesthood, He declared it to be everlasting or perpetual priesthood (Exodus 40:15). Numbers 18:19 applies “covenant of salt” to this priesthood, which means it will last forever as salt is used to preserve food. “Covenant of salt” appears twice in the Old Testament and the second one (2 Chr. 13:15) is applied to kingship of David and his descendants through Solomon, which is based on God’s promise to David (2 Sam. 7:12-13) - God will establish his throne through Solomon forever. The perpetuity of both Davidic kingship and Levitical priesthood were later reaffirmed by prophet Jeremiah in his dual prophecies written in Jer. 33:17-18. Jer. 33:18 says that levitical priests will offer sacrifice forever. With destruction of the Jerusalem Temple sacrificial system of Judaism came to an end. Levitical priests of Judaism cannot fulfill the prophecy of Jer. 33:18 - it is fulfilled by the New Covenant Levitical priests of all nations (Isaiah 66:21) who make present the same sacrifice Christ made on the cross.
Jesus said “I am the :door” (Jhn. 10:7), “I am the way, the truth and the life” (Jhn. 14:6) and “I am the true vine” (Jhn. 15:1). Certainly, He did not “transubstantiate” Himself into a door etc.. But we should compare “This is my Body” with the phrase with the same word structure like “This is my beloved Son” (Mat. 3:17, 17:5, Mar. 9:7, Luk. 9:35). The word “this” refers to Jesus, while “my” refers to God the Father. Jesus is not figuratively Son of God, like the Israelites (Exo. 4:22) and neither He was one of angels (the beloved one) referred as sons of God in Job 1:6 and 2:1. Jesus is indeed the beloved Son of God, consubstantial with God the Father. In the phrase “This is my Body”, “this” refers to the bread Jesus held in His hands, while “my” refers to Himself. He did not say: “this is my Body with the bread”, which would support Luther’s belief. Neither did He say "This is symbol of my Body" as taught by Zwingli and Calvin. Thus, the bread is indeed His Body. A person may tell a lie when he said: “this is my car” if that car did not belong to him - but, certainly, we do not believe Jesus and God would lie to us, do we? Being the Second Hypostasis of the Most Holy Trinity, Jesus, who is now reigning in heaven (1 Cor. 15:25), certainly can make Himself sacramentally present in the form of bread and wine in every Mass. The intention is to enable us, which is grace from Him, through consuming His Body (His Flesh and His Blood), to become partakers of His divine nature (2 Pe. 1:4).
1. It is not in the Bible 2. It is unpractical 3. The argument looks good but directly denies what the Scripture teaches. Please read the book of Hebrews carefully again (I assume you have done so by now) and you will find out that as the JW taught in this sermon, the problem with the RCC is that it attacks the gospel.
@@PatrickKordoulis Well, the verses I cited are in the Bible. It is your personal opinion in what you wrote in 2 and 3, of which you are entitled. I did read the book of Hebrews. Heb. Thus Hebrews confirms that believers have altar and something to eat from the altar which must be sacrifice.

You can read lots of puritan publications free online. _The Bruised Reed_ is a real banger.
Great stuff!
without the shedding of blood there is no propitiation of sin
Whose blood?
Work out your salvation with fear and trembling for God is at work in you both to will and work for his good pleasure.
How much does one spend on indulgences to equal the time shaved off by the offering of the mass? More directly, how much is the blood of Christ worth to Rome?
I would rather buy indulgences than put food on the table
Praise God for Apologia church! Also, is that an actual cricket in there?

He should be teaching the parishioners theology he supports. Instead he spends his time bashing Roman Catholicism
How about a lecture on the error of reducing the gospel to a formulaic method for achieving 'personal peace with God'?
That's what this was. The formula of the Mass does not lead to peace with God.
Is White forgetting he is preaching to Protestants? Do these people want to hear him bash other faiths? Is he training apologists?
Doctrines are just mythology compared to reality. All of them.
