It could be the sorcery that she practices, glenstone sorcery you can find her mentor turning who is turning in to Crystal because he used glenstone sorcery.
Basically she wants overthrow Rennala problem is that Rennala is immortal, she is not powerful enough to take her on and for her crimes she is then morphed into that ball to be in agonizing pain for the rest of her existance, either that or by diving too deep into Glenstone Sorcery she is painfully morphed into that ball no matter what path you choose she loses. For my personal decision due to the heinous crimes she committed and also not wsnting to see her in agonizing pain for the rest of her life I opted to kill her as depressing as that is I find it the lesser of two evils

@@hhjhj393 Yeah but where's the fun in knowing you going to get a horrendously depressing ending? I'd actually like to play elden ring but from everything I've heard about it, it makes bloodborne seem cheery and I dont want to spend hours playing a game just to be even more depressed than I already am by the time its finished.
Not _all_ NPCs have a bad ending. (In contrast, I'd argue Elden RIng to probably be the most optimistic FromSoft game overall, despite having such widespread body horror.) Some examples... _(Spoilers ahead)_ - If you don't betray Nepheli to Seluvis, and complete Kenneth Haight and Gostoc's side quests, they all move into Stormveil Castle together, with Nepheli being a rightful heir to the lands by way of relation to Godfrey and all. And, she'll show up for the final battle against her... father? Grandfather? Hoarah Loux, himself, towards the end, if you summon her- same spot you summon Melina for the Morgott fight prior. - Jar-Bairn, though obviously shaken up by Diallos dying to protect him, being a sole survivor of the perfumer attack on Jarburg, and learning that Alexander died for good this time, is still hopeful. All of your examples give him the resolve to grow stronger, and at that point it's pretty much the end of the game, whereupon you as Elden Lord are presumably about to establish a world where that's much more possible. - Jerren, if you side with him here, just thanks you for putting a war criminal away at the college he used to go to, casually hands out a material to craft a god-slaying weapon with, and dips. No tragedy or anything. - Ranni's pretty content to chill even if you don't do her ending and speed the process of her whole Age of the Stars thing along. Even if Blaidd and Iji dying to cover her escape from the Black Knives probably upsets her, she got what she wanted, and almost certainly knows that they were always aware that their lives were on the line. If you _do,_ you have a legit romance _and_ the Age of the Stars shows up right now, and you go beat the shit out of star-borne eldritch beings if not also other Outer Gods together in space with the power of the Elden Ring, which, you know, cool as shit. And besides, there's a big contrast between Dark Souls and this story between _how_ a lot of these characters die. In Dark Souls, it's very often in desperation, with the withered remnants of their strength being scavenged after the fact by your undead bystander, usually powerless to step in. In Elden Ring, a lot of the characters that die do so by pursuing their own dreams successfully, and in so doing, deliberately pass their strength on to you, like this is an anime or some shit. In ER's culture, after all, the many combining to become stronger than the sum of their parts is considered something of a sacred practice (excepting Godrick's grotesque corruption of grafting which just involves bullying people and stealing their limbs)- see, grafting originating with Godfrey and Serosh, the Erdtree being itself literally grafted _onto_ the existing Great Tree, the fact that repairing the Elden Ring just involves adding more people's runes to fill in the missing cracks in most endings, the fact that the "Valiant Gargoyles" are considered such for being made up of multiple patched-together champions reinforced with stone like armor... etc.
I've talked to Jerren after beat Radahn, but when I came back to the area he wasn't there but there were 2 bosses, after that I went back where Sellen was as a prisoner but he's not there, someone knows what do I have to do?

The Rennala we fought during the second phase of her boss fight was a construct conjured up by Ranni as a way to protect Rennala. Would be interesting to see a video of the crossover if Ranni says anything to you about it.
I expect Jerren will probably return for like the PVP DLC or something
No matter what you choose Sellen never will get good ending. I feel like it makes no sense to side agaist her because most of the quest tends to heavy towards her because of student-teacher relationship.
But Sellen did the most unforgivable thing, that is when she killed Iji after she gets the new body. And i like Iji. This game man.
I mean the revelation that she is a dangerous mass murderer that you helped to set free, is a reason to side against her
@@theoneandonly9775 what why swould you say that?
seems Iji only kills himself after you killed Blaid after ending Ranni's quest
@@pugachan9928 well its a reason to side against her and the story tells you so
@@SirTake Iji only get burned if you progress through Sellen quest. I did Ranni questline first before doing Sellen. Even after you killed Blaid and told Iji about Blaid death, he was still there doing his stuff.
After i progress through Sellen questline later only you will found his burned body. Sje did have a hand on Iji death. She is the most dangerous apostate mage for a reason
So I talked to jerren before even finding comet azur so I have all the step down except jerren is not on the chair anymore and he is not in the chamber either… I really don’t know where he went
thank you for the videos, im not new in the souls series but damn the huge map got me lost.
Question: if you side with him at the end, can you still kill Jerren for his set once he gives you the upgrade stone?
Yes I just did this
Games from Mars thanks for these dialogues ! one suggestion, you could lower music sounds so the dialogue is more clear !
Can anybody help me understand why she morphed into that ball at the end?
It could be the sorcery that she practices, glenstone sorcery you can find her mentor turning who is turning in to Crystal because he used glenstone sorcery.
Or it could also do with Rennala's rebirth magic
These are the two theory I have, but who knows really.
@@lancethedecayedguardian2719 I think the circumstances is similar to beasthood in BB, you dives too deep into something, and there is a reason why primal glindstone sorcery is forbidden in one of certain item description.
@@lancethedecayedguardian2719 yeah ok geralt
I wonder if her primal glintstone would/could be put in a certain someone meant to be given a potion from Seluvis. 🤔
Wym?
@@yasinahmed6157 The primal glintstone from Sellen gets put into a puppet body that looks like her, yet there's other NPC's that can be turned into puppets for use. It'd be interesting to see if some of the others can be given the Primal Glintstone instead (such as Nepheli).
I helped Sellen but after the fight, the witch that was on the center of the room disappeared. So I can't respec my points, there's a solution for that?
She is still in the room just go to the right and you well see her
Also fast travel again and she will be back in the middle of the room while Sellen turn into a Graven-school.
So it’s better to help Sellen when looking at the loot? Is there a way to get Jerren (Gael’s) armor while also helping him… and not killing him at the end.
Nah you gotta kill him to get the items
Very disappointed in the ending to the quest I thought she was gonna be our ally for the long haul
Welcome to FromSoft games
@@1wayroad935 hahaha I love watching the new players discovering the wonderful worlds of fromsoft
Honestly it’s pretty lame how all npcs just fuckin die at the end without fail unless they serve an important game function like the spirit turner or the smith. Like at the end the game is so dead it’s like wtf am I even lord for?
@@hhjhj393 Yeah but where's the fun in knowing you going to get a horrendously depressing ending? I'd actually like to play elden ring but from everything I've heard about it, it makes bloodborne seem cheery and I dont want to spend hours playing a game just to be even more depressed than I already am by the time its finished.
Not _all_ NPCs have a bad ending. (In contrast, I'd argue Elden RIng to probably be the most optimistic FromSoft game overall, despite having such widespread body horror.) Some examples...
_(Spoilers ahead)_
- If you don't betray Nepheli to Seluvis, and complete Kenneth Haight and Gostoc's side quests, they all move into Stormveil Castle together, with Nepheli being a rightful heir to the lands by way of relation to Godfrey and all.
In ER's culture, after all, the many combining to become stronger than the sum of their parts is considered something of a sacred practice (excepting Godrick's grotesque corruption of grafting which just involves bullying people and stealing their limbs)- see, grafting originating with Godfrey and Serosh, the Erdtree being itself literally grafted _onto_ the existing Great Tree, the fact that repairing the Elden Ring just involves adding more people's runes to fill in the missing cracks in most endings, the fact that the "Valiant Gargoyles" are considered such for being made up of multiple patched-together champions reinforced with stone like armor... etc.

Wait can someone explain what happened to sellen ? Why did she become that giant bubbly head ?
The two theories I've seen is that, first, she might've delved too deep into the magic kinda like the two great sorcerers you encounter or, second, since renalla is back she might've turned Sellen into that thing as punishment for trying to usurp her
@@cauthrim4298 Renalla already too heart broken to do anything. Based on the Graven-school and graven-mass talisman it probably the first one, which is also prove that she deserves it.
@@BuiBaoNguyen could've been her child as it made the clone of her you fought in phase two
@@BuiBaoNguyen But don't forget that Renalla is an immortal queen of the moon and probably the most powerful sorcerer so far.
@@hideous_taco_michael_zacki Not anymore my dude, Rennala's too crestfallen and far from the sorceress she once was after Radagon left her. The Rennala we fought during the second phase of her boss fight was a construct conjured up by Ranni as a way to protect Rennala. After we bring the bodies of Lusat and Azur to Sellen, it is very much more likely that she turned into that giant stone face thing after delving to deep into primal glintstone sorcery.

@@Tupperware3 Yeah you can just go to the grand library and find the gold summon sign outside the door

I think so too. Queen doesn't even know what's happening and Ranni can work her magic from afar, as we saw in Rennala's boss fight.
